Starting with ease of booking & conversation with Mr.Rigzin, prompt check in process, neat room tastefully done, super attentive current GM Manan Mistry and his wife, Chef Chet churning 3 delicious meals a day, Shabeer and the rest of the team. Truly a wonderful experience.
As regards the view? One has to see to believe. Posting some images but they still don't do justice.

We stayed 2 nights in July, the hotel is on the Siachin side, which is good for people looking for peace, However all the activity part is on the other side (Hunder & turtuk), which is about 1 hour from Lchang nang.

The quality of accommodation is top notch, decent sized room, with European windows, washroom with all amenities & hot water 24/7 , white crisp linen & towels.

Hotel is completely of the grid and enjoys well generated solar power 24/7.

The view from the terrace is unbelievable, millions of stars & clearly visible milky way (so clear) !

Food is good, keeping in mind the location; Alcohol is available for dinner, shortage of bread was an issue for us, both the days.

The resort takes you on a rugged path with thorny bushes to the river (walk about 200 Mtrs or 10 Minutes) across the resort which as per me is the USP of the Property.

I would recommend if you are in need of absolute peace !

The Lchang Nang retreat is a surprise delight in the Sumur Village of Nubra Valley. It is a completely solar energy run resort. The cottages were very aesthetically done with a good collection of books to engage oneself amidst the scenic environment of Nubra Valley. There are no televisions in the room. Due to the solar energy they do not provide room heaters but there are electric blankets. Around midnight my electric blanket wasn't working and it was really cold to manage without it. I called up the emergency number and they did wake up up one of their staff who was very polite and made multiple trips to laundry room to get me a blanket that was working. The food is a buffet meal for dinner. It is limited due to the supplies being limited in the village but very tasty. Breakfast is also limited but they make fresh parathas, omelets etc. On of the nights they had a live Thukpa counter at dinner which was really delicious. You need to pre-order lunch. They also arrange star gazing through a telescope on some nights and we were really delighted to get up close with Jupiter and Saturn. The bonfire is expensive. They charge INR 1500 for around 30 minutes of bonfire. Also the staff can do better in terms of keeping account of room specific orders as there was confusion in billing. Overall, this is the kind of place where one would want to stay for days and do nothing but just chill out!

Wonderful experience at Lchang Nang Retreat
Once we reached Sumur, Nubra Valley, we could get the actual feel of Ladakh. We spent two nights at Lchang Nang Retreat.

The resort is spread in a huge piece of land with natural beauty overlooking the Shyok River and snow capped mountains.

Shabbir helped us with the booking process and offered the best package and was extremely helpful for all our queries and making sure that we were comfortable. The owner Mr.Rogzin was also helpful and interacted with is and made sure we were doing good. We bought two twin rooms and each room has a private sit-out overlooking the mountains and lush green vegetation. There was a natural stream of mountain fresh water flowing from the rear side of our room and its sound was a treat to the ears.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and always attended to our queries with a smile.

The common spaces include a barbecue area with a small pond with natural flowing water, an entertainment room with board games and lots of books to read, a movie area with bean bags to relax and laze around and a terrace with star gazing at the night. All these facilities are operational and well maintained. The resort has all the modern amenities but at the same time care has been taken not to disturb nature. All electricity is supplied from solar panels and they also have a green house.

The food was the best part of our stay. Apart for the regular dishes, the had served the local cuisine and had a wide variety of bakery items including croissants, donuts, cookies, cup cakes etc.

Also recommend their curated tours, which we couldn’t try due to paucity of time.

All in all it was the best part of our Ladakh tour and is a must recommended property for your stay in the Nubra Valley.

This was my first trip to Nubra Valley And I am really pleased that everyone working at this resort made it a memorable one. Be it the receptionist who was quick to allocate us the cottage, or the restaurant staff who were caring enough.

In addition to above location of the resort is away from City and this helps you detox in a best possible way.

Activities like Village walk, yoga and other things like movie under the stars are must to do.

Overall Lchang Nang Retreat is the place which is not to be missed during the trip to the Ladakh.

This resort was such a good surprise for our family as we were exhausted from our tent in pangong and to have the luxurious feel of the French styled cottages was an absolute bliss. The resort has plenty of activities so two nights stay is a must. We loved the riverside yoga organised. The whole place had a very soothing and relaxing vibe. The food was delicious and the staff really helpful. I was impressed to see how committed they were to maintaining ecological sustainability by using solar power to power all their needs. Little things like having bamboo charcoal toothbrushes and jute slippers to having moisturisers in bronze Katoris really added to that experience. The bonfire at night was good fun. They also had star gazing they we couldn’t do that since it was cloudy that night. Looking forward to visiting this place again in the future.

Lchang Nang retreat is a hidden gem in Nubra Valley . You won't expect a place like this in Ladakh. The place was off-grid and was totally sourcing its energy through a huge solar system . The food was sourced locally and most of it grew in their organic kitchen garden .
By far ,Lchang Nang is the best property in Ladakh. They practice conscious luxury and have all the amenities of a luxury property. It is hard to leave the place since it's surrounded with the beautiful scenic views and uniqueness. I recommend minimum of four days to experience what the place has to offer.
Their well curated menu of ladakhi and continental options is an icing on the cake.
I'm coming back again !!!

The property is beautifully located amongst many trees, rooms are very comfortable and the food is also good.
What is outstanding is the hospitality, the guest services, their experience in recommending and organising experiences.
They arranged one experience which was a farm to table lunch at the owners farm, as we reached we saw the various plantations of rajma, apples cauliflower, carrot onion broccoli and more
Finally we got to our table which was so beautifully decorated and had so much food most of it from what grows there...It is a not to miss experience and though it seems expensive on the face of it, it is worth every penny and more and a must do.
Overall I'd love to come back and stay here again for sure

This is the best hotel in Nubra Valley. It is found with the end goal that it is encircled by mountains. The hotel has a way prompting the Shayok River also. It has its own farm and a water gathering pool. The rooms are looked towards the snow mountains with the goal that you awaken to a stunning perspective. This hotel has the best and most amicable staff ever. As I would like to think, it's alright to come alone as their staff will not allow you to feel forlorn. The food here is additionally brilliant. There are no negatives about this property and it's an unquestionable requirement visit for everybody visiting Nubra.

It’s difficult to describe the experience that we had with words. It was really an enchanted parenthesis in our busy life.

What an incredible and wonderful experience it was! We spent 7 days in Ladakh with 3 days at Lchang Nang Retreat, Nubra Valley. Travel is about memories and our memories will be full of the things we took away from this stay. As others have said, Nubra Valley is a very remote location and this is certainly something one needs to enjoy when travelling here.
There are so many things to do and in particular the bikes . One can book the mountain bike for the day to provide fantastic opportunity to explore the surrounding areas. Also you can enjoy the board games or read a book and just relax.

Overall this resort is a hidden gem and perfect to rejuvenate.

Thanks for the wonderful memories.
