We spent 5 nights in Kate and Jon's newly renovated holiday let. The place was immaculate and had been renovated in keeping with the buildings heritage whilst supplying all required modern conveniences. Great wifi signal (a must for the kids!), amazing showers, everything you could want in the kitchen and an enormous sofa that easily accommodated the six people staying there. The beds were comfy and we slept brilliantly. The hot tub was a bit hit too. We enjoyed playing badminton on the lawn and the games room with pool, air hockey and ping pong (table tennis) kept the kids entertained for hours.
They have a tea room there as well that supplied is with excellent coffee and cake and they even run pottery classes!
The surrounding area is stunning and we enjoyed lots of beautiful walks, even a local zip wire!
Kate and Jon were the most accommodating hosts. We will definitely be back!

The property is a bit remote so don't expect it to be a hive of activity, car needed for getting out and about including evening dining
B&B combined with tea rooms. Hostess Annie, looked after us really well. The room was clean, comfy and quiet. Breakfast is served in the tea rooms and a good selection chosen the night before
Only 2 rooms available year round so it won't be heaving, but if you fancy that quiet break in a lovely area of the Shropshire Hills then this is he place, we'll definitely call again

Really enjoyed our one night stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Annie is so welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for her. We were made welcome as soon as we got out of the car. The garden was beautiful and our dogs loved it. Breakfast cooked to order, delicious, lots of choice and very filling. Never knew Shropshire was so pretty, we would love to return and explore the area more. Would certainly return here I'm missing our chats with Annie already. PS the cakes were delicious thank you Annie xx

Just spent 2 nights in this delightful B&B. We were made most welcome by the host, Annie, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Rooms were spotless and well equipped with comfortable beds. Breakfast is ordered the night before from a wide menu and cooked to order.

I usually stay in hotels or pubs with rooms, so this type of B&B was a first for me. I always thought I'd feel uncomfortable staying in someone's home, but this definitely wasn't the case here. Annie & Andy were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Myself & Monty (my Labradoodle) had a very relaxed & enjoyable stay. We will definitely recommend The Old Wheelwrights to anyone travelling in the area.

The Old Wheelwrights is a B&B with tearoom attached or vice versa. The owners, Annie and Andy, are very friendly and Annie is a very good cook - the breakfasts were excellent. We didn't sample the tearoom as such but that is where you have breakfast and I saw some very tempting looking cakes there! The rooms are very attractively furnished with comfortable beds and everything thought of, even bathrobes. Visitors can also have use of the sitting room downstairs where there is a lovely fire and a television. We had a very nice walk along a quiet lane to the village of Clunbury and back. It looks as if there are plenty of options for other walks around there. The pub at Purslow (The Hundred House Inn) is about a mile away but I'd recommend using a car to get there as it's along a fast road. The food there is fantastic but not expensive - a real bonus to find such a good pub near the B and B.

We stayed for 2 nights and were made to feel very welcome. Our hosts were so friendly and made it a very relaxing stay. Breakfast was very good. What was also very nice was having your own lounge to sit in, which is much more comfortable than sitting in your bedroom. It had a lovely log burner which made it very cosy.

Room Tip: We stayed in the double room which had a good view and was a good size with an en suite.

We arrived late Friday night and we immediately welcomed by the proprietor Annie who made us feel right at home. She kindly moved an extra bed into one of the guest rooms for an additional friend who hadn't booked but this was not an issue. The room was excellent and the breakfast was simply superb. Would thoroughly recommend based on service alone if you are looking for a quaint country B&B at a very reasonable price.

We only stayed one night, but were made very welcome. The room was comfortable and we made use of the guest lounge in the evening before a lovely fire. The full English breakfast, taken in the adjoining bright and airy tearoom, was excellent with as much to eat as you wanted. After vacating our room we were able to leave all our baggage with the owner while we went and explored nearby Ludlow. We would certainly return again if ever down that way.
