Nice and comfortable room on the 6th floor. Lovely view from the balcony. Breakfast was very nice and lots of choices. Had dinner once and food was really lovely. Also enjoyed a drink at the bar. Loved the Virgin Bloody Mary.
Many things in this hotel can be improved, like in any other hotel. But for a 4-star hotel having cockroaches in the room!!?? Worse than that is the fact that I saw it in the morning, leaving the room for breakfast, told the guy in the reception, and he said they would handle it. I came from breakfast, still there, called reception the same guy told me "we will take care of it sir" and after 30 minutes I heard the cleaning ladies on the floor, called them to see it and they were a bit shocked. The older one grabbed a bag and took it from my room finally, saying that maybe it came from the balcony and I never opened the windows. It is inadmissible in any hotel, especially in a 4-star hotel.
We had a lovely family vacation here, the staff was mostly nice and the pools were fun for the kids. The rooms need to be renovated though. My main criticism would be about some members of the staff who were not particularly polite, and a bit dismissive at times.
Ajax Hotel! I have to say a lot for this hotel. I want to advise the key members of this hotel that your hotel needs renovation for its future operation. In the second floor, rooms were ancient and toilet/bathroom was dirty. e.g. we changed a/c tempature and electricity switch off for seconds. The door entrance system with the card is broken. Every day we went in the reception to take a new card to enter in the room. This represents that the system does not maintain well. Bathroom was dirty, toilet system has also problem. You should press 6 times the bottom to clean the toilet. OMG! You can hear the drainage system from other rooms in your room. Wow! Also, I forgot to say that I found one used eye lense in my drawer from previous visitor. Disgusting! In few words, the hotel needs renovation but if you do not plan for renovation at least clean well rooms and make sure that everything works normally. Now, about prices! Do you thing that 200ml of coffee ice(granita) which costs €5,00 is a good price? I dont think so. I purchased drinks from supermarket and you lose your customer. If coffee ice costs €3, I would purchase every day. You lose! A bottle of water of 500ml costs also €1,70. I went in the mini market next to hotel and i purchased 9litre of water €2,50. In few words, the hotel should decrease its prices (if you want to increase your sales). And last but not least, breakfast! I like fried egg with bacon to mix it with bread but the bread was not fresh. Why you used the same bread for 3 days? why you do not cover the bread with a way to remain fresh. Come on! We are not chicken searching for old bread. Have you saw the decoration in the serving plates? Cucumber and tomates have dried. o_O No way! I will not come again in this hotel. I forgot to mention that we wait elevator for 15 minutes in order to leave the hotel in the last day.…
Rude night staff. Keys never worked, had to change 3 times and still was sitting in the room without electricity. Poor breakfast and definitely wouldnt say its a 4* hotel, more 4* hostel. Not recommend
