This hotel was exceptional for a 3* rated. Would recommend to any person for a quiet amd relaxing break. Rooms could be atleast a 4*+. The food was good and variety for all ages. Very clean resort and staff friendly.

Lovely hotel although our room was slightly dated and abut tatty, but it's just somewhere to sleep.. This is not a 4* as TUI sells it. Even had 3* on the front of the building. So I would feel a few people would feel mislead after booking this holiday. Entertainment in the evenings was good but nothing in the day and no kids club or baby room available as getting towards end of season. Reception helpful and sorted us a rental car as a sensible price. The grounds are maintained well. Staff friendly, pools are lovely. Tons of sun beds. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, which we knew and wanted. The beach is fantastic. Food was abit bland but plenty of it. I would prefer a self derve drinks section though. As it's easyer and quicker for everyone. My most negative point is house keeping. Fresh beds and towels everyday which was great. But maid only ever swept the floor and it also didn't look like it had been mopped before we got there. And one day it rained and they tracked in muddy feet throughout the whole apartment and all over our patio and still didn't mop it out which was a shame. Biggest question, Value for money.... Great in the grand scheme of things. So would come back given the right price like we paid.

The hotel is basically in the middle of an housing estate not much to see around the area if you want to see other parts you either have to hir a car or the bus stop is opposite the reception to visit other resorts you have to go into Mahon then take a bus to wherever you want to visit the when you are coming back you have to do the same thing in reverse can be a bit of a pain because some of the bus routes are limited timetables you have to check the bus times very carefully going back to the hotel in itself it is modern but they have a problem with a lot of flies and wasps out around the pool you have to accept this can happen but inside the hotel itself I would have thought they would tried to reduce the amount of flies that were in and around the reception and bar/entertainment area also they have a pool snack bar which is plagued with flies and wasps I also found it hard to believe that they had a lot of cakes and sweets on display which was inside clear plastic containers but these did not have any lids on them this meant that they were open to flies and wasps meaning two things there is a health problem also someone who is either young or old can be easily stung one good thing was they did not have the same problem in the restaurant the food was good on the first two days but went downhill after that with the exception of anything that was cooked while you waited most of the so called hot food most of the time was barely warm one morning we were going to Mahon on the early bus we in the restaurant at 8 .05 bearing in mind it opens at 8.00 I asked the chef for two fried eggs when I started to eat them they were cold and they were laying on a keep warm plate I do not think I would visit this hotel again

We loved our stay at this hotel. It was exactly what we were looking for - a last minute break for a bit of sunshine before winter arrives! Amazing holiday but a few things could be improved…. Firstly the good bits.. The island of Menorca is beautiful & the hotel it’s self is really pretty & in a stunning location! Extremely quiet location so if your wanting some where to walk to on a night for nightlife or bars / shops / places to eat then this is not the place for you! There is literally nothing but villas & 1 tiny little ‘supermarket’ shop under the hotel within walking distance. We didn’t come wanting to explore we just wanted a relaxed week away so this was perfect for us and our 1 year old little girl. The airport is 15min drive away from the hotel. The hotel complex is built 3 story’s high and each is separate buildings - all named after star signs. We were really lucky and got put in the Aries building and we were given a ground floor room which actually looked into the pool! This was brilliant because we could easily go in and out of our room when ever we wanted and we were literally 2 steps away from the pool! Perfect if you’ve got kiddies! The room was great! We had a 1 bed room apartment which had a living room, kitchen area with a sink, microwave, electric hob, cutlery & plates. The bath room was a good size but only had a shower - this didn’t bother us so much because we already went to Greece this year and learnt there that we needed to buy a small paddling pool to bathe our little girl in as she didn’t like the shower so this holiday we came prepared! The bedroom was a good size too and we requested a cot which was waiting for us in the bedroom when we arrived. The beds are single beds tho and after talking to a few other family’s there’s were the same too. One family we were talking to said they rang reception and asked for a double bed and we’re told the hotel doesn’t have any doubles all the rooms are single beds but to just put them together. We did do this but then one of you ends up with no head board and a plug socket at the top of your head all night LOL. There’s lots of different pools on the complex and absolutely loads of sun beds!! The sun beds are really comfy aswell, they don’t dip when you’ve been sat on them and they have ‘sides’ so you can rest your arms. There is pool towels available at the hotel - these are free when you first ask for them at reception but if you want a fresh one it’s €1 per towel each time you want to change it. The beach is about a 10min walk down hill and it’s a tiny little cove beach - very quiet and beautiful. We had a lovely day there. Not much sand for you to relax on but we went mainly for the water anyway. We took the baby’s buggy and there’s loads of stairs to actually get to the sand / water so did a few trips up and down the steps. If your not good for walking or in a wheelchair this is not ideal for your self unfortunately as it’s not very wheel friendly :( The area really isn’t commercialised it’s so peaceful and quiet. We loved it! The things that could be improved… The food! Omg the food! I absolutely LOVE pasta but by day 3 even I was getting fed up of eating it twice a day! There was very minimal options for the food and some things seemed to reappear at dinner or some times the next day for lunch! As though they had it left over so re-cooked it! The food really lets this place down. There was a paella every day, pasta with a tomato sauce which was literally blitzed up plum tomatoes, a cheese or mushroom sauce ( I could never decide what it was) pizza, a fish option which was the same every day, squid rings, boiled veg etc. Flys! There is soooo many flies! There everywhere! I’ve been bit to death! There’s absolutely loads of wasps too but there just after the sweetness of the drinks. We bought Pringles and used the lids off those to keep the flys and wasps out of our drinks. Theres loads of flys on the food in the restraunt which is disgusting but I don’t really know what they could do about it, there was 2 zappy things that attract the bugs and then kills them but they were on the salad bar. The hotel isn’t very wheelchair or pram / buggy friendly considering it’s a family / kids focused complex. There is 1 ramp at the front of the hotel to get to reception and then 1 ramp over but the baby pool to get you over in to the slightly higher area of the complex - but you’ll only use that if your room is over that way. There is a ramp to the end & In front of the communal bar area BUT it’s pointless because the walkway path is blocked by a huge wooden stage! There is no lifts up to any of the rooms so if you are on any other floor that the ground your only way to your room is stairs. There is one loft in the whole hotel and that’s to go from ground level to -1 for the dining hall. When we stayed it want school holidays so the hotel was quiet but I imagine in peak summer holidays there’s a bit of a que for the lift especially with prams. Overall we enjoyed our stay, we would go back but only if the food changed!

Arrived last Saturday after 11pm, reception were very helpful setting my son & myself checked in, a plate of food and fruit was supplied and was gratefully received. The staff have all been very friendly, complex is very clean and great service all round. The entertainment was only on for two nights, it was ok and a distraction on those evenings. Food was varied, our only complaint was it wasn't hot! All in all a nice relaxing break away and we would come back, 10 mins from airport.

Not sure what the bad reviewers want for their money! Positives Apartments clean and bathrooms are brand new (in Pisces block) Pool area lovely plus lifeguard Bar and reception staff nice - smile with them! Food - always something to find (my mother moaned mind) but the fish, salad and potatoes were great for me Negatives Flies and mozzies - take some repellent for sure Pool music constantly, could even hear it at the apartment Very secluded - if you're wanting 24 hour entertainment, this is not for you, but if you can make your own, it's a nice quiet getaway

We have a lovely time, ideal hotel to stay especially with kids. The room was really spacious, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was very clean and was serviced every day. The food was great with plenty of choice. My only grumble is that dinner start time was a bit late, 7.15pm is a bit late for young kids to eat.

Have had a brilliant 4 night stay here at Mar de Menorca. The complex is huge with lots of land. Pools were fab. We came really late in the season but everything was fantastic. Yes, the apartments are a little tired but they are plenty big enough. We had a 1 bed apartment for 2. The area is quiet but we expected that. The short walk to the Cala is worth it as it has a beautiful view. All the staff were amazing, cheerful and helpful. The day the restaurant flooded due to a massive storm, all staff went the extra mile to make sure guests were looked after. The food was varied, snack bar just what you need if you miss breakfast and as for the cocktails - first class. All were made from fresh, which you don’t normally see at a AI resort. All in all I’d say just do your research, if you’re looking for a 5 star resort, then you won’t find it here, but for the price we paid, we would love to come back ❤️

We traveled with family and our grandchildren on an all inclusive basis and had 2 rooms side by side, which had all we needed and were well looked after. The hotel is perfect for families and couples and is well spread out It is situated within easy walking distance to a secluded cove where there are water sports and swimming available and a cafe. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which runs to Mahon bus station every few hours. Mahon is well worth visiting, it’s a lovely city to walk around and has a large port where boat trips are available and plenty of restaurants and bars. The hotel was clean and spacious and had lots of amenities including curtesy rooms, a baby room, laundry, sports facilities and large pool area with plenty of sun loungers and shades. There are 2 large adult pools and 2 smaller children’s play pools all of which were very clean and safe. There is also a play park and pool area with 4 pool tables. The food was really good and plentiful and there was always something enjoyable to eat, it’s a buffet style menu which caters for everyone, including gluten free which was a surprise. We could not fault the food and found the staff very helpful and cheerful especially when it came to the children, there are high chairs available and plenty of family tables to sit at. With children’s and adult entertainment in the afternoon and evening, we were very happy with our stay and would return again. Thank you to all who made our holiday enjoyable.
