Sara Glen Motel is a lovely, homey place to stay. The owner, Sonny, takes great pride in keeping everything very clean and pleasant and by doing anything to make your stay enjoyable. It is very conveniently located. The grounds are immaculate, as are the rooms. We relaxed in the adirondack chairs outside our room and watched the sunset. Sonny has recommendations for good places to eat. If you like small, friendly, clean and pleasant places to stay, as apposed to big chains, this is the place for you.

On motorcycles, my freind and I pulled in about 8 pm, after hours of riding. We were tired, after going almost 3 hours out of our way, due to not reading directions properly. We were greeted by Sunny, I believe the owner. Very first thing he did , was hand us each a cold bottle of water, didn't even ask what we wanted. So amazingly freindly. We had a reservation, so he got us set up, ADSAP, I asked if there was a coffee maker in the room, (yes), and asked about the powdwered milk that usually comes with it, (don't really care for it), he got us a fresh glass of milk, from his won fridge, and carried it to our room, even put it in fridge for us. The room was great, beyond clean, the bathroom sparkled! Sunny genuinly cared that we were comfortable, he chatted with us, we were not rushed, and felt so welcomed. I booked the room, online, and was a little skeptical about the 9.2 rating, not anymore, Sunny earned it, STAY HERE!! you will not be disappointed.

First of all I have spent the night here 2 years ago during a snowstorm so I'd be closer to work. Sunny the owner was so hospitable both times I stayed that winter. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are great value for the price with several amenities; a 3 shelf fridge/freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, T.V., table and 2 chairs, a stuffed chair, a fireplace heater, and a stand up shower in the bathroom that is very easy for elderly to get into. I am staying here tonight again as a snowstorm is coming tomorrow and it is close to work for my commute. I recommend this cozy, clean, affordable, quiet, and safe motel to anyone seeking excellent value for their money and an experience they'll not get elsewhere.

This is a nice little motel that reminds you of a place from the 1960's. The owner, Sunny, is very friendly, great to talk with, and goes out of his way to be sure that you're satisfied. My wife and I spent a few days in the Glens Falls/Saratoga Springs area and I booked our room sight unseen based on the on-line reviews. The room was large and very clean, and as I mentioned earlier, Sunny and his family are great hosts. If you're looking for a big hotel with a pool, gym, etc. this may not be for you. If you're looking for a small friendly place that's clean, well maintained, and where the owner's treat you like you're family, then this is just the right place.

I recently stayed at the Sara Glen Motel for two nights for a fun weekend with friends and family. We were warmly greeted by Sunny´s son, Tarak who checked us in. Sunny (the motel owner) made a point of coming to our room to personally greet us as well. Our room was clean and had all the amenities that one would need and even had an electric fireplace on that made the space feel homey. The location is perfectly situated between Saratoga Springs and Lake George. After a full day at the track we so enjoyed chilling as we sat on our Adirondack chairs outside our room though there was a pretty picnic garden area we could have enjoyed as well. If you want a fitness center, pool and the vibe of chain lodging this may not be for you but I would say you are sorely missing out!

Our family stayed here for part of our annual motorcycle trip. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds very comfy. Location is excellent, and the owners/managers are the kindest, nicest people you’ll ever meet (they brought us a big bag of chips from their own personal kitchen when they saw that we were hanging out in front of our rooms one evening, relaxing with a couple of beers, after the local stores had closed). Highly recommended!

Our stop at Sara Glen was short, unplanned and completely random, but we were delighted and refreshed by our memorable visit. One wouldn’t necessarily expect such enthusiasm and personality at an understated roadside motel but the moment Sunny greeted us we knew we were staying. His energy and attention to the personal touches that make one’s stay stand out were a natural inclination for him. From offering the bottles of water as we entered, to escorting us to our room, to permitting our late checkout without hesitation, he did it all. The rooms were clean and quaintly appointed; comfortable and cozy; and we slept very soundly. What a pleasant surprise this little spot was. Thank you!

Last week, I stayed at the Sara Glen from Tuesday-Thursday. Upon checking in, the manager Sunny was very helpful and Friendly. The hotel grounds were clean and neat. The parking area was well lit. Outside every room was a vase with marigolds on a small table that had 2 chairs. Our room was immaculate and updated. The bed very comfy. I travel quite a bit to compete in dog events And stay in motels. The owner and manager should be commended as people who show pride of ownership This is a lovely little gem of a motel. I would stay here again in an instant.

We wanted something that was popular when we honeymooned in Lake George fifty years ago. To this day, we still love motels! We have passed the Sara Glen motel many times over the years and just never took the time to stay. Well, this time we made it a point and called Sunny, the owner. He was very accommodating and helpful in giving us a deluxe room for our special getaway. The room was spacious, spotless and had everything you might need for your stay. What really impressed us was his kindness in working with our daughters to have champagne and a beautiful rose bouquet waiting for us upon our arrival. Every year for the past 5 years i have come to Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals. Each year i have stayed at the Sara Glen motel and as long as i continue to come to the Nationals i will continue to visit Sonny at the Sara Glen. He is so accommodating and friendly. His rooms are very comfortable and SOOOO clean. 4 years ago i found out i was expecting my first child and when i got here and shared my news with Sonny, he gave me the biggest warmest hug of congratulations. Sonny has become part of my family. Every year Sonny saves us rooms for the clan we bring. I highly recommend staying at the Sara Glen in South Glens Falls, it's truly a great place to stay all around.
