Stayed in resort 26/05/23 to 04/06/23 in a Beach Villa - 342 - as a family of 4 (Two children under 12). We booked a package with British Airways and didn’t have the choice to go via sea plane so took the domestic flight and speedboat transfer. It is much longer but found the representatives at Male to be very helpful and showed us where to go and and what time we had to check in for our domestic flight. There is no escaping how hot and humid it is but make sure you bring a change of clothes so you can feel a little more refreshed. The speed boat ride is brilliant and certainly makes you feel excited that you are nearly there. When you arrive at the resort it is beautiful and makes you forget how long it took you to get there! Check in was seamless and we were shown personally to our room and luggage delivered soon after. Our beach villa was amazing. You couldn’t ask for a better location with the white sand just outside the door and the Indian Ocean metres away. The outdoor bathroom was fantastic and we loved the lizards who regularly came to visit as well as the bats just above the shower. Such an experience. The bed was massive and the two single beds for the children were perfect too. Definitely one of the best family rooms we have had. We ate all our meals in the main restaurant and found the quality and variety to be excellent. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, they always recognised us and knew exactly which room number we were. We loved the theme nights each day and looked forward to finding out what was next. We were on the All inclusive plan so made sure before we went and whilst there that we were completely aware of the drinks available to us. There was a good selection for us to choose from and never went thirsty. We particularly enjoyed our morning milkshakes. We enjoyed drinks at all of the bars and found the service to be excellent. We mainly chose the resort for the snorkelling and were not disappointed. We swam with turtles, sharks, rays and a multitude of colourful fish. We have hours of footage to look at and some amazing memories. We did one trip - Manta and dolphin - but sadly didn’t see any Mantas. We did see a pod of dolphins and snorkelled in a different reef. The trips are not cheap especially with the additional taxes added. As part of the All inclusive we had a sunset cruise which was lovely and lasted 1hr. We had an amazing 8 days on the island and didn’t want to leave. Luckily we were able to upgrade to a sea plane transfer back to Male which meant that we didn’t have to leave so early for our 11am flight. The sea plane was a brilliant experience in itself. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to go back one day.

When planning your journey you will have a choice betweena sea plane transfer and a domestic flight. Previously we have always selected sea plane transfers to islands that can’t be reached by boat. This time we thought we’d try a domestic flight. So much more waiting around and it added about five hours to the journey. We decided to do the return transfer by sea plane and it was well worth the additional cost. We would never do a domestic flight transfer again! Check in at the resort was fast, friendly and efficient. The resort is relatively new , about five years old, but it was built on an established island with lots of natural vegetation. We have stayed on many Maldivian islands over the past twelve years and this one gets top marks for design! Not just the layout of the resort but the design of the room and garden. We had a beach villa and it more than exceeded our expectations and needs. The garden leading to the beach was wider than previous resorts and had lots of shade as well as sun if you moved down towards the beach. We were in room 339 and the beach in front of the villa was wide and perfect. Toiletries were of a decent standard (shampoo, conditioner , shower gel and soap. There was a bath as well as an outdoor shower and a big fan which was brilliant for drying our diving equipment! The bed, bedding and pillows were all incredibly comfortable. The room was cleaned to a very high standard by Shyam and the two foot showers for front and back ensured minimal sand in the room. We were All Inclusive and ate all our meals in the Vakaru restaurant. There was plenty of variety for us and we were more than happy with the food. I particularly enjoyed drinking the sparkling white wine at mealtimes! Service was excellent and special thanks to Rasheed and Sateeth (not sure I’ve spelt that correctly) for their excellent service and lovely smiles! There were five other restaurants that you could pay extra to eat at or pay the extra $40 per person per day to upgrade from All Inclusive to All Inclusive premium. There is quite a lot of walking around the island and most days we walked a couple of miles a day going to and from the restaurant, bars and dive centre. The marine biologist resident on the island did a wonderful job of monitoring the Green turtles nesting areas and the hatching of the baby turtles. The dive centre is run by a Swiss owned company Sea Explorers. All very friendly and good at their jobs. I'll write a separate review for them! If you'd like to see what the diving was like then check out my YouTube channel Gerry Green Diving for the'Come Dive with me in the Raa Atoll, Maldives February 2023' We would happily return, but by seaplane.,

A wonderful and tranquil place with beautiful empty beaches, great snorkeling spots (feels like a giant aquarium) and very friendly and helpful staff from reception through restaurants and cleaning staff to the spa. Fitness center with a great view, four nice bars and a main restaurant with a good variety of tasty food including local ones. They also go the extra mile in terms of sustainability and protecting and nurturing the local island fauna and flora. Definitely a place to return!

It was perfect. The staff, the resort, the beach, the food, the animals, the lush green nature, the room and the animals. And I love that it runs on solar power. One problem is that there is smoking everywhere.

Resort & staff were excellent making us feel welcome, valued & relaxed from the moment we arrived. Restaurants & quality of food was very good, chefs often visited our table to discuss our meals & ask what we thought. Resort grounds are well kept whilst keeping the feeling that you are on your own tropical island. We saw turtles hatch, fruit bats, geckos, lizards & kanbili birds which added to the natural feel of the resort, whilst colourful fish are plentiful on the house reefs.

This was my first visit to the Maldives, and I travelled with a friend rather than as part of a family or a couple. However, the welcome I received was a genuinely friendly reception, for which I was grateful. We arrived by sea plane. Amazing views! The kaleidoscope of shades of blue in the ocean has to be seen. We were welcomed with a drink and a refreshing towel, then taken to our villas. We had outside rain showers, and embraced the experience throughout the stay. Toiletries were supplied if required. Friendly lizards shared the bathroom space, and were no problem. We stayed half board, eating breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant. It was all served buffet style. There was always plenty of choice. The gala dinner for Easter was spectacular. The pastry chefs went to town on amazing chocolate sculptures and desserts. The sea life around the island was bountiful . Turtles were visible on the house reef, along side sharks( in the dark ) octopus, starfish, and so many beautifully coloured fish of all different varieties. Most of our days were spent snorkeling. We were lucky enough to witness a mother green turtle laying her eggs by moonlight. A dolphin cruise allowed us to be surrounded by 40-50 spinner dolphins who showed us why they were given that name. A sunset cruise presented us with an opportunity for fantastic photos. The holiday surpassed expectations. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Vinnie's company at the Nala bar. Thank you all so much. I will return soon.

We travelled here for 2 weeks in November. We stayed in a deluxe pool villa. We were a party of three, my husband and I and our 18 month old toddler. The room was very spciaious, cleaned twice a day and nothing was too much in terms of house keeping. The bathroom was part outdoor, so you need to get use to showering under the stars. This is a tropical island, so expect Bats in the trees and Greco's on the bathroom walls and ceilings. They are completely harmless and you forget they are there. Yes it does take a bit getting use to having a shower and a bat flying over your head, but again it's a tropical island, what do you expect! We went all inclusive plus, which included the ala carte restaurants. we are so pleased we did. The main restaurant is great, but we did not want to be restricted to the timings especially with the baby and so the 24hour restaurant worked great for us in case we missed a meal in the main restaurant. We are pleased we did this becuase we found the food in the main resturant not always to our liking, so was good to have alternative options. The pool!! - Yes the pool had a lot of broken tiles on the sides and floor. There is no practical way this is ever going to get fixed as it would mean they would have to close the pool. But... simply buy swimming shoes from amazon or ebay etc before you leave. We did and the broken tiles did not takeaway from our enjoyment of the pool at all. The sea is beautiful and clear and beach pristine. We had a photoshoot with the onsite photographer and were very pleased. We haggled down the price as the standard package included 250 pictures, which we totally did not need. This is a bare foot island with sand literally everywhere, expect the restaurants - do not both packing lots of shows expect some basic sandals. We walked barefoot everywhere including the baby and never had any problems. They have a small shop that sells everything from nappies to sunscreen to clothes. Yes it will be expensive, but if you forget somethng, you know you can buy it. My only reason I probably would not return is the food. the buffet restaurant was a bit restricted. only live cooking station was for plain pasta. Other than that most of the meals were curry based and sometimes repetitive. You go all inclusive to have a culinary experience, I would say this is not something that happened here. Whilst great, not fantastic.

First time to Reethi Faru but 10th visit to the Maldives over period of nearly 30 years. Island beautifully landscaped internally with shaded paths, fantastic main restaurant catering for all tastes, themed nights, and daily curries. The chefs were amazing. Disappointing meal in the Dhiyavaru so pleased we we didnt pay extra for the Dine around package. However anniversary meal in Huvandhu Garden was exceptional fine dining. The Main Bar is perfectly located by the sea. Staff and service everywhere the best in the world but in particular Mumin at the Nala Bar for his amazing cocktails and mocktails and Sunesh and Rasheed in the main restaurant. Reef slightly disappointing as no retaining walls to create a calm lagoon as experienced on other islands. However regularly saw sharks, dolphins, Eagle rays and shoals of fish from the Hiyavaru without even getting wet! All in all a lovely holiday and the Maldives remain our favorite destination they are just so unique.

So, his was my eighth trip to The Maldives. I had the last island I stayed at was Reethi Beach (3 times) and while there, I had heard that Reethi Faru was opening. I was not disappointed by Reethi Faru! Its a truly beautiful eco island, with amazing facilities and wonderful staff - as with all Maldives experiences, nothing is too much trouble and everything comes with a smile. It was lovely to see Nazir at the pool bar ( I met him when he was at Reethi Beach, and we were well looked after by Yani in the main restaurant and Reethi Grill. I could waffle on forever about how lovely Reethi Faru is but in all honesty, reviews are great, but you have to go there to FEEL it for yourself - do it, you really will not be dissapointed! (We are booking again for 2024).....
