Had a fabulous sunny 10 days in January away from the awful UK weather. The hotel, Gran Canaria and the weather surpassed our expectations. It’s worth upgrading to a sea view as the views are amazing looking down on the Atlantic and the bustle and tourism of Maspalomas. We really appreciated the location which is exceptionally quiet; if you want to have bars and restaurants and razzmatazz on your doorstep, this is not the place for you. The hotel provides a useful shuttle bus to Masapalomas, and this is worth doing, if just to walk in the dunes, but there are far nicer places to visit than Maspalomas so we tended to do our own thing either with tours arranged either through the hotel or by using public transport. Next time we visit (which is a definite) we will hire a car for some of our stay. We found our room to be clean and comfortable and well equipped (but we did have to ask for a kettle which isn’t standard). The food, especially the breakfasts, was excellent. Like most guests, we spent hours around the swimming pool and enjoyed using the well equipped gym. Above all, we appreciated the friendly and efficient staff who went out of our way to make our stay special. Begoña and Sarah deserve a special mention, but a shout out too to the rest of the staff: You’re all great, and we look forward to seeing you next year!…
This was our second visit - the first in February 2020. Again, it was lovely. We visited Maspalomas once in the hotel bus, and stayed the rest of the time at Casa Leon just relaxing. Breakfasts were very tasty and we enjoyed the evening meals - especially the soups which were delicious. The staff was welcoming and friendly. If you want to completely chill out in the sunshine, then this hotel is ideal.
We have just returned from a 9 night stay in this idyllic hotel From the minute we arrived to the time we left the service and staff were exceptional A special mention to Nadia who was the most professional kind funny and a very special member of the team also to Kathy who was was also very professional and never stopped smiling and to Heinrich Juan and Borja who were amazing and to which nothing was any problem. The hotel itself is spotless and the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable The pool area is beautiful with comfortable sun beds and free towels The hotel is in a very quiet area if you want to go out and about you do need a car to visit other parts of the island however there is a daily courtesy bus to take you to Maspalomas. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with impeccable service and fabulous food this is the place for you Loved every minute and would return in a heartbeat Thankyou…
The perfect place to relax and rewind and enjoy the wonderful climate of Gran Canaria. Kind and Attentive Staff, Wonderful food, very large portions! A Super Garden With Private Court Yard Pockets as an option to the stunning area around the lovely pool with spa.
It made a lovely change to stay in a small hotel, very quiet and away from noise. All of the staff go above and beyond at this place. Special mention to Nadia who was a real gem and Sarah who was really helpful. Hotel looks just like the website, although elements are a little dated, particularly the bedrooms. Food was lovely. Weather almost too hot for sitting by the pool (27/2/22 - 5/3/22). We took the mini bus into Maspalomas one day but couldn’t get out of there quick enough, far too busy and commercial for us.
Usually we travel further this time of year to get the sun ,but with covid ect we decided to go to Casa Leon on Gran Caneria . This hotel was up in the mountains 5 miles from maspolomas and what a great place it was . the hotel is set in a wonderful setting overlooking the town and the famous dunes could be seen also . the hotel was suprising large for only 25 rooms but it was spacious and very welcoming . the hotel staff were all friendly and informative and all had time for you,,you felt part of the family !. Rooms were spotlessly clean and as we had a suite plenty of room space with a balcony . .great pool and tennis court and gym all free to guests . the food was superb we never had any course in the 10 days that was not great . . i would reccommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday .they it is a 4 star but i would give it five . we will certainly be back …
This is just the place if you are looking for a peaceful luxurious break far from the madding crowd. The staff are all so friendly and super helpful. The food is quite delicious and it was restaurant standard every evening. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning was a delight with tasty fresh buffet options and freshly cooked eggs. We kept discovering more areas of the hotel on it's pretty terraces - secluded seating, pétanque court, games room and giant chess to name a few. The activities on offer were varied with yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics, tennis, mountain biking all available and it's the only hotel that we have been to where you can take a blank & canvas paints and let your inner artist go. The bar prices were very reasonable and they made a wicked iced coffee. Our room was huge, spotlessly clean with a lovely balcony with 2 sun beds and a table and chairs. The complimentary shuttle bus to Maspalomas was a bonus and it's certainly worth a visit to see the dunes and to take a promenade by the sea but nice to get back to Casa Leon for a dip in the pool and jacuzzi. The pool area is very comfortable & quiet with umbrellas and lots of space and amazing views of the stunning mountains which constantly change with the light. All in all a very special place - thankyou Casa Leon…
I booked this hotel as a Christmas present for my husband but had no idea what to expect. We went in March and had the most amazing time. The hotel staff are so kind and welcoming and a special mention must go to Nadia who went above and beyond herself to make our stay an exceptional experience. We were there for 5 days and normally we don't talk to anyone but at Casa Leon we talked to so many of the guests. The foid was fantastic too. Great breakfasts and evening meals. We would highly recommend it
My daughter and I had the most wonderful stay at Casa Leon. The setting is idyllic, in the mountains above Maspalomas, with fantastic views all around. The hotel is beautiful, our room had incredible views and was so spacious and comfortable. the daily shuttle bus down the mountain to Maspalomas was very welcome. The hotel food and service was amazing, especially breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine. The staff were so attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit here to relax and recharge. We hope to return with the rest of the family. Thank you all so much.
The hotel is situated 15 minutes drive from the coast up in the hills. Very quiet location. Shuttle bus takes you down to Mespalomas twice a day. The staff are superb on the whole & cant do enough for you. Food very good though as has been mentioned dinner is over quite quickly! We took part in Pilates & Aqua. There is a good gym. Had a superb day out with Markus visiting various interesting spots including Porto Mogan & the highlight was lunch at Nadja’s finca, where she & her husband grow an amazing variety of fruit & vegetables. That evening the island was hit by the worst sandstorm for 22 years. The hotel coped very well with the clean up 2 days later & extra people who were unable to fly home. Would happily return.
