Bicton Lodge is small but perfectly formed. Beautiful, clean and warm. Set in beautiful countryside. A perfect escape for me and my 3 friends. We enjoyed our home cooked meals and relaxing in the hot tub. We visited nearby Bishops Castle where we enjoyed quirky shops and cafes. Thomasina, our host was friendly , informative and helpful whilst also afording us privacy Definately recommend and hope to visit again

We had the most amazing week here. The host, Thomasina, is so thoughtful, kind and nothing is too much trouble. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you may need, comfy beds, a welcome pack and in a beautiful location. Hot tub is sheer bliss and kept spotlessly clean. The fire is “ready to go” for those chilly days/nights.

Arriving later than planned on Christmas Eve our hosts were amazing, great hospitality and service and even two Christmas presents under the tree to open on Christmas Day. The welcome pack was also greatly appreciated with some local treats.
Lovely peaceful setting, and great amenities inside the lodge.
Really couldn’t fault our stay, not one thing that hadn’t been thought through.
We look forward to returning in the summer months to experience a different season stay at the lodge

Great location for exploring Shropshire. Extremely comfortable beds and fantastic hot tub. Thomasina was a perfect host- the lodge was and also felt completely private but Thomasina was available if you needed anything. The cows every morning were an added bonus. We were there in very rainy weather so missed not having a dryer to dry swimming cosies and towels after the hot tub- but in dry weather not a problem as good drying space outside.
Recommend the walk into Clun and the pubs and shops there plus Bury ditches, Horton Castle and Ludlow farm shop.

So glad you had a lovely stay here and enjoyed some of the great places to visit in our area. We are just having a clothes airer fitted on the back porch for beach towels and swimming cosies so we hope this helps our hot tub users in future. Hope to welcome you back again soon :)

Had a fab holiday here. Lovely ‘cottage’ with great views and quiet location. Clean, well appointed, and private, the owner was discreet but so friendly. It was great having the hot tub for a soak after a day’s walk. Clun itself is a very pleasant 35 minute walk away (turn left out the door along lane then field edge footpaths, eventually arriving at Clun castle). The White Horse does good pub food and is home to the Clun Brewery (Citadel and Solar are particularly good).

A perfect little getaway for two, nestled in the stunning Shropshire Hills. Just a few minutes' drive from the charming village of Clun, where we were warmly welcomed by the locals. Don’t miss the delicious ginger and turmeric cake at the Post Card Café – a real treat! This peaceful retreat is highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind, switch off, and de-stress in a tranquil, picturesque setting.

We had the best stay at Bicton Lodge. Really beautiful lodge with all you could need. It was cosy, well equipped and just had the most spectactular views. Cows at the lounge window and just fantasic Shropshire countryside visible from all rooms. Lots of lovely walks (into Clun) and other places to visit nearby too. We loved the hot tub and really appreciated the friendly owners and nice welcome touches (welsh cakes, butter, jam etc). We would love to visit again for a peaceful break away from the usual hecticness of life and to enjoy nature and just relaxing.

Excellent location and lovely accommodation… hot tub overlooks rolling Shropshire hills and the cows grazing in the field next door. So much to do in the local area and lovely walks to explore. Highly recommended for anyone looking for complete peace and quiet. Very accommodating and friendly owners who were there if needed… couldn’t fault anything with this break, thank you!

Myself, my partner, 12 year old daughter and our 11 month old son came to visit Bicton Lodge for the first week of November. Can honestly say was it an absolute lovely week away, so peaceful and tranquil. The lodge itself has everything you need and is really cosy and comfortable, the hot tub was gorgeous too. The cows in the field next to the lodge come up to say hello daily, which was lovely for the children too. Would definitely go back there and plan to next year. Thomasina was an absolute gem too, so helpful with everything.

Bicton Lodge is the perfect lodge for a relaxing break. We spent 5 days walking and driving around the lovely settings of Bicton, Clun, Ludlow and Shrewsbury, there’s so much to do, and each day headed back to the very welcoming lodge. It’s quiet and secluded and is perfectly set out for 2 couples or a small family and has everything you need. There are great views from the patio over the fields with some very curious cows! The Views from the hot tub are great too 😊. Thomasina and her family are lovely hosts. We highly recommend Bicton lodge!
