First of all driving south toward Albuquerque you cannot see it from I25 as you approach Bernalillo. The resort is on the Santa Ana Reservation hidden next to bluffs and only about 1/2 mile from the Rio Grande. The hotel is in the style of the many pueblos in New Mexico. That's where the similarity stops. For one thing the...

I stayed at the Resort when attended a conference. The room was clean and comfort. The staff was friendly and eager to help you - very professional. Although I didn't get to participate in many activities they offer - there was always something to do for all ages. The food was authentic to New Mexico too! Thank you for a...

We stayed at the Tamaya Resort for a conference in early January. It's cold here in January, with the temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s. Brrrr! The resort is beautiful. My room had a view of the mountain and it was lovely to watch the sunrise over the snow dusted peak each morning. The resort offers several activities...

I stayed at the Tamaya with 350 other educators for a conference lasting three days. The minute we walked into the stunning lobby, hotel associates were friendly, professional and ready to help us have an excellent yet relaxing stay. The Tamaya is exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated and essentially an oasis among beautiful scenery. I will most definitely return there whether...

This hotel is part way between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. There are so many activities available - horseback riding, hot air ballooning, walking and biking and hiking...although it was early January when we stayed, the rooms were breathlessly hot and turning down/off the heat did not help.

RESERVATIONS: I always book directly with the hotel rather than the 800 number. When you call the hotel directly, you will often get switched to the main reservation offices off-site if you call outside regular business hours in New Mexico or if you don't ask specifically for the on-site reservations. I've found that they don't understand the property as well...

As Canadians on a first visit to New Mexico we felt that Tamaya helped us experience the real ambience of the south west. From the inviting main hall with fireplaces and native decor and artwork and yes the flute music helped too to the peacefulness of the surrounding property at dusk. True to their word the outdoor pool was heated...
