I came here for a few nights on my own to try to see the northern lights which have been on my bucket list for a while. The location of the hotel is great, although it is a long journey from the airport (2 hours from Oulu and €95 Euro round trip by the hotel airport transfer service). The staff...

We rented a cabin with private sauna at the Hotel Iso-Syote as we had expected some friends to join us (the cabins hold 6-8 people). The area was spacious and certainly large enough for at this many. Having a private sauna was great. For swimming and spa baths, the main hotel was just a few seconds walk away, which also...

We had a fantastic pre-Christmas few days here. The cottages were awesome and our own private sauna was superb to warm up after days spent playing in the beautiful snow covered area. We did the whole Father Christmas thing which was magical and would recommend, but the huskies and the snow mobiles stole the show for my adrenaline hungry family....

We spent 7 nights here over Christmas in one of the Aurora View Suites, Upon arrival check in was very quick and smooth and we were escorted through to the suite and given a tour and how to work the Hot Tub and Sauna. The Aurora View Suites are absolutely amazing, They are over 2 floors, the ground floor has...

We stayed here for four nights just before Christmas and had a fantastic time. We had booked one of the new aurora suites before they were built so hadn't seen any photographs but the room certainly surpassed our expectations. It was beautifully designed and huge so was a very comfy place to relax after a day out in the snow....

I've always wanted to go to Lapland and our four day December 2016 trip to Hotel Iso-Syote in Finnish Lapland was totally amazing! We were lucky enough to stay in the new Aurora View suites - two story accommodation in the main hotel building. As a family of 4, it was brilliant with a sofa bed for the kids and...

First time to Finland and first time on a winter holiday. We split the holiday between a log cabin in the grounds of the hotel and the Eagles Nest suite. Loved the log cabin which was authentically Finnish and truly spoilt by the spectacular suite with amazing views and a wonderful hot tub. Re the food in the hotel I...

My wife and I stayed here in Feb/March 2016 in a log cabin. So much has been said about this location in previous reviews, I can confirm that it is a magical snow covered location nearly at the top of the fells, nice people, good food, knowledgeable guides, enjoyable safaris, and a week's stay not long enough. 😃

Winter sports resorts are usually silent during summer and autumn, also in this case. I arrived to Hotel Iso-Syöte and checked in late, it was a Saturday evening and a beginning of the stormy night. It was great to experience the storm up there! The hotel was under renovation, that's very good. The standard room was comfortable, and the vista...

Wonderful hotel, very beautiful room the suite Eagle Nest, very much worth its value. Very nice views, spa inside the room, a swimming-pool jacuzzi (you can literally swim in it), sauna, and all the luxuries expected. The decoration is very special!
