I read the reviews and was expecting a dirty smelly room that smelt of dog but to my pleasure the room was lovely. It was Warm, clean and airy. Obviously not perfect, a few holes in the bedding, lumpy pillows and the bathroom had a dirty water smell but I took airfreshners and soon didnt notice it. The bedding was clean and fresh so the faults did not bother me. The Water was hot, heater worked, tv was good so ive nothing to complain about. I'd definitely stay again. Very good value for money.
although all was working in room the room itself could have done with a better clean, needs a make over, carpet in particular needs renewing as faded and not looking good, overall ok but not as good as used to be.
We stay quite frequently at St Clears, Pembrokeshire and always have a lovely time. The manager is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for Lorraine. All staff are great. Rooms are very clean and the beds are lovely and comfortable. Look forward to our next stay.
Overall this was what you should expect from a travelodge. Everything was clean and tidy. When asked for more coffee etc there was no problem with it. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The only problem we had were the pillows were a little hard for us but thats a personal preference. Would certainly stay there again.
Firstly can I say that the staff were lovely. The carpet in our room was very stained and we didn’t like to walk on it without shoes on. We had a room at the back of the hotel so had a view of trees but we couldn’t see them very well because the double glazed glass window had blown and there was so much condensation between the glass. Plus there was mould around the frame and also on the ceiling above the window. This hotel is definitely due an update so hopefully Travel lodge have it marked to be done. It wasn’t pleasant at all to stay there and we weren’t keen to come back for the second night. However the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We feel that it must be very difficult for the staff working there to take pride in the appearance of the hotel. We won’t be staying there again unless the hotel gets the much needed update.…
This hotel is really grim. Our room smelt very damp and mouldy The bathroom fittings were old and rusty. My husband didn't even want to shower in there. The bedsheets has stains on them (although the bedding was clean). The general building smelt musty and unappealing and was run down, especially the state of the carpets in the corridors. It was cheap but not cheerful. I would not like to stay here again. The staff however were very polite when we told them of the issues with our room and said they would send over a voucher. However, this is yet to be received and they are impossible to contact! Only upside was that the bed was comfortable.
Bathroom stink to the high heavens of a strange smell, I can only describe it as rotted menstruating blood, lack of ventilation doesn’t help either, and the bedroom and whole building itself smelt like the carpets need a good shampooing.
Down visiting family needed somewhere close to stay, 2nd time staying here, perfect location, very friendly, helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Room very spacious, very comfy beds. what more do you want! Thank you for making our stay welcoming look forward to the next visit
Booked an accessible room as I use a wheelchair. Given a twin bedded room as apparently disabled people don't sleep in a bed with their partner! On entering the bathroom I would appear to be able to hurdle as the shower was over the bath. To be fair, on asking to be moved to a room with a walk in shower the receptionist was very good and contacted the person allocated the room and was able to move us. This does flag up that there is only 1 truly accessible room at this hotel. We weren't overwhelmed by what was provided. 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 1 pillow each... not the 2 promised. 2 tea bags, 4 uht milk pods and 4 coffee sachets. I had booked the breakfast and free wi-fi option, however the free wi-fi only meant 30 minutes, £3 required after that and then there were all sorts of problems with it cutting out then wanting a password to sign in when you were given a QR code and hadn't at any point entered a password. The breakfast option was actually a pack, containing milk, a small boxed portion of cereal, a flapjack and a pastry presumably to eat in your room. Not satisfactory, especially if you are gluten intolerant, a refund was requested and was forth coming. After this experience I will not be chancing a Travelodge again anytime soon.…
We booked 4 rooms to meet up with friends that travelled from Wiltshire. Greeted by friendly staff. We had a very spacious room with TV, tea/coffee facilities etc. Nice bathroom with shower & full size bath. Staff were helpful in advising on local taxi service to nearby Whitland.
