The room was great, new, cozy and comfortable. We're staying at a sea view room and the view was perfect. The service was great too especially the reservation team name "Pearly" She gave us free ice cream coupon and welcome us very warmly since we arrived, We really appreciated for that :) I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who're looking for hotel with a high standard service and good environment.
The Intercontinental Phuket will hold a special place in our heart as it was our honeymoon destination. We were delighted to find out, on arrival, that we were upgraded to the villa. The villa design is simple amazing, just to name a few; personal deck & jacuzzi, personal pool with access to the main pool, large bathroom with his & her sinks and super king-size bed. The entire hotel is immaculately clean. There is a sense of awe with its blend of modern and traditional architecture. Most obvious is the temple like building located in the middle of the resort, which is open for guest to explore. The restaurants and facilities are all within a short walking distance or if you're feeling adventurous, a golf buggy will taxi you to and from. My wife and I have very fond memories dining on the beach under the stars. The service across all the restaurants is excellent, you can tell the staff is expertly trained in hospitality. Intercontinental really gives a new meaning to "a breakfast for Kings" with the breakfast buffet with cuisines ranging from traditional Thai noodles, Malaysian nasi lemak, to English egg benedict. We discovered we can order specific drinks. For a local taste, we recommend the Thai tea. One observation we had is the need for covers for the fresh fruit from fruit flies. The spa service is excellent however you will be paying the 5 star price. If you're looking for more value for you money, there are local establishment not far from the resort. Room service and gym/classes were easy to access via the phone app. We had an amazing and luxurious experience at the Intercontinental Phuket and we would often reminisce about our honeymoon. …
Wonderful hotel and wonderful personal. Special thanks to Pearly. She was were friendly and helped as a lot including giving us an opportunity to get an early check in. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. It is a truly 5 star hotel here on Phuket.
Gorgeous property and right on a beautiful calm stretch of beach. We stayed at the 2 bedroom Villa which has a very generous pool (not the usual dipping pool) and is spacious (walk in wardrobe is large enough to actually accommodate a roll away bed). We had a rough night the day before we were checking out as our LO got a tummy bug - the hotel staff; especially our assigned butler, Honey, were exceptional- arranging medicines, food (that she didn’t even charge us for), extending our check out so we could be in time to check in at the other property. I was deeply appreciative of the help and she continued to check on how we and my kid were even the next day after we checked out. We will definitely be heading back because of the gorgeous location and property and the amazing service we received during our stay. Also, the club IC facilities are very nice. if I had to give any feedback on improvement - it would be to extend tea time to 5pm as 2-4pm is not really tea time for most people. …
Good location while still having access to a great beach . Service and staff was decent. Amenities, pool, activities all quite up to standard. F&B excellent. Room (sea view suite) was clean and well maintained. Spa not that great (given options available nearby). Only comment would be the beach pool area - which is the nerve Center of the property gets very cramped and crowded - they need to redesign the layout to make it less cramped during peak hours.
I have been trying to convince myself to not write this review for the past 5 days since my return by the horrific experience and poor management of this hotel has compelled me to post this so that fellow travelers are able to take an informed decision when deciding to book this property. We stayed at the property from the 7th till the 12th of March and were a group of 8 adults and 5 children in 5 rooms. We are a well-traveled bunch and selected the intercontinental with an expectation one might have from any premium international chain of hotels in offering a fine stay & culinary experience to international guests. But instead what we experienced was something a person would not even expect from a 3-star hotel in any part of the world. During our stay *There was an attempted robbery in one of the rooms occupied by the children of which the Hotel Management has no Security footage and showed no seriousness to address. On Reviewing the footage, we were able to see the holes in the hotel security which could not find the track of the perpetrator who tried to break in and enter the kid's room while they were sleeping in the morning since they did not have camera's that could see movement either in the emergency exit staircase or were pointed towards the staircase to see the entry and exit of people who use it. Despite providing a clear description of the event, the Hotel Security team and Management made no attempts to investigate the matter and such an incident was not deemed worthy of attention by the General Manager of the property (if there was one) who despite multiple requests did not find time to meet us. *The staff of the Hotel's so-called "Michelin" restaurant which serves Thai food attempted to peddle an inferior-priced & quality whiskey to us under the guise of it being an 18-year-old Glengoyne single malt. This was immediately caught by us when the same was presented to us in pre-poured glasses despite asking the server to show us the bottle before pouring. We confronted on the issue, the staff produced to us a bottle of a 12 year old Glenlivet Single Malt and attempted to hide their deceit by terming it a "Lack of Understanding of Language (Basic English)". Apart from the Issues above, which can be termed as 1-off incidents or just plain bad luck, the hotel lacks the basics that are expected from a 5 Star Intercontinental Hotel. The Biggest problem being its ** Extremely Limited Menu** Despite Boasting of Having 5 restaurants, the Hotel does not serve Any Sushi Fish & Chips Chicken Nuggets (favorites of Kids) Ceasar Salad (Staple for any Hotel) Dimsums ANY DISH FROM THE INDIA, ARABIA or CHINA. This fact makes the hotel unhabitable when you are traveling from these parts of the world with KIDS. Even though the hotel says that it has a Japanese Restaurant, the same remained closed for the most part of our stay and despite claiming to have Japanese chefs, we were denied service of any sort of basic food to our rooms by the staff. What has hurt me most is the fact that the hotel could not even put together a proper bread basket so that I can feed my tired 8-year-old daughter something wholesome at 8 PM when she was too tired to step out of the room. To top it off, I was served 2 slices of stale bread and given Butter for which the Hotel Charged me 500 Baht!! It seems that the Hotel Management is too proud to have a beautiful Hotel and feels that the beauty of the hotel will be able to pepper over the gulf that is present in what is expected in hospitality and what is offered. The Hotel management prefers to cower behind junior under-trained staff rather than address the issues being faced by the guests. The Junior staff portray themselves as not having a proper grasp of basic English and use the same as a way to skip out of the situation entirely. Dealing with the hotel staff, I got the feeling that This property seems to want to welcome only people from a certain part of the world and does not want to have people visiting from the rest of the world. All in all the 5 days stay was probably the worst stay in any hotel in any part of the world and made me want to take another holiday to get over the poor experience. Rating Ambiance 4/5 (Even though the most beautiful building is currently closed for guests) Rooms 4/5 Facilities 4/5 (lacks a proper kids area) Food 0/5 Cleanliness 2/5 Hospitality 0/5 …
We stayed at the Intercontinental Phuket one week. Used almost everything the resort had to offer. Time well spent. The venue itself is super, however, the staff is what really made us feeling “pampered” . Thanks to the Club Lounge team: Opor, Homez, Nuch, Napha, Tha, Ploy and Mind at the check-out. See you next time!
Stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom pool villa. Rooms were very comfortable and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Beds were very comfortable. Beach was beautiful and water was clear and warm. Beach area for sitting and dining was great. We ate at the Pine Bar for lunch and one dinner. Breakfast were amazing. Everything you could want and more. Service overall was very good. Our butler Sophia was very helpful and was there for anything we needed, including offsite and onsite dinner reservations. The price is a bit on the high side for Phuket but it definitely felt luxurious. Would highly recommend.
Oh my goodness! What an amazing hotel!!!! Nira is is a life saver and Gam, Jinny and the guys who make your beach bed at the Pool bar only added to the incredibly wonderful time I had at this hotel. The rooms are Zen , and so pretty and the weather was glorious the food was delicious and was reasonably priced.I could not have been happier. The club lounge is an extra treat that can be enjoyable. The hotel is fresh and clean with blonde colored Ed decor that just brightens your day it looks just like the pictures. Stay here…. but don’t take my room 😂 Nira is an amazing Manager in every way and her staff follow her lead. IHG you got this right!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Intercontinental Phuket. The hotel is new and nice located at Kamala. The facilities are really good and green with a beautiful garden very well maintained. No need to worry about the road because you have a private tunnel to pass from the forest side to the beach side. The beach is nice too because it is at the end of Kamala, more quiet and private and you can enjoy a really beautiful sunset. The room we booked was a one bedroom villa with swimming pool, very spacious, luxury and relaxing. Finishing are really nice and you can see the hotel is new. To go everywhere, you can call a buggy that drive you all around in the resort. They are very fast to come to pick you up. We booked a room with club lounge access and we do not regret it. The lounge is near the beach and a really high end and peaceful experience. They provide very good food and drinks during breakfast, afternoon tea and everything cocktails. They have nice outdoor and a swimming pool, just for the member if you want to enjoy more quiet time. We also have a private buttler, Sophia, who was fantastic during all our stay. She provides us all services we need and always stay at our disposal for anything, booking a restaurant, asking some advice for sightseeing, etc... You can WhatsApp her anytime and she always answer very fast. Her English is really good and she has a very high level of service sense. Finally we spent a very nice time there for relaxing and hope we can come back soon.…
