Solo female traveler allocated the 'last room' which looked liked the door had been broken down with a less than adequate patch job done to repair it. The hotel is very dated with that general feeling of unclean/damp. The pool area is very small and can be noisy with kids and the annoying 'atmospheric' bar music. The hotel is right on the beach, but at the end of Kamala beach, so it's not powder soft sand or within the swimming next - but close to it. There wasn't great sun exposure on the pool either for tanning. Breakfast was horrific!!! I walked in and the fresh fruit was crawling with tiny fruit flies, I cannot believe anyone would eat there. One saving grace is that about a 10/15 minute walk down the beach there are a handful of lovely restaurants, but do not walk home on the beach in the dark. I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2021. I would not recommend it at all, there are loads of hotels in Phuket, find one with a fabulous pool and beach and breakfast - you can easily for the same price or cheaper than this one.

Sorry to hear about your poor experience staying with us, this is not the standard that we are striving for and can assure you that had I been aware of the issues that occurred during your stay I would have reacted to rectify the situation for you. It has been several months since you stayed and I am sure that the maintenance defect you shared has been resolved already but do feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss further @ paulray.smith@accor.com. I stayed here for the Phuket Sandbox and was impressed by the trip overall. The hotel rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious but do lack a 5 star finish, in that the walls were chipped as was the balcony floor. The service maids were incredible, as were the reception and bar staff who were always on hand and served room service until 11:30pm. The location was wonderfully secluded with direct access to the beach. Restaurants were within walking distance, but I would advise hiring a scooter if you are alone as walking the beach at night can be daunting. The main centre is walkable but along a busy road. The rooms offered value for money and the facilities were great, with access to a gym, rooftop bar and a restaurant providing enough entertainment that you didn't really need to leave the site. I would say that the food is average and slightly overpriced.

The room was big nice and cleaned regulary by the awesome staff. The property is huge, which means long ways to the really, really awesome pool and beach. Honestly, it would deserve 3 out of 5,but the friendly, professional staff gives this hotel two more! ABSOLUTLY RECOMMENDED!

I've stayed at Novotel Kamala Beach as part of the 14 days Sandbox program but ended up staying around a month at the property. They assigned me an amazing room and I don't recall ever being as sad before at any other place when eventually having to check-out as I was at Novotel Kamala Beach. The rooms are very functional and I'd definitely consider it a MUST to ensure you've got a sea-viewing room for an optimal stay experience. Breakfast is a delight and my special thanks to Catt and the slim tall gentleman whom (besides all other colleagues there at the Breakfast) truly represent what Thai hospitality is known for. Also my appreciation to Kae & another slim tall gentleman at the FO for their kind support in all my complicated stay extensions and inquiries on departing information to Bangkok. I must also mention the excellent security support for the numerous times they've helped me enter the adjoining road with my motorbike. Kamala beach is still among my favorite spots on Phuket and I believe Novotel is an excellent accommodation option. I will surely be back at this lovely tranquil place.

This was our 4th stay at Novotel, Kamala Beach. Room quality, and customer service excellent as usual. The hotel is located at the far end of Kamala beach, well away from beach day visitors. We look forward to staying again!
