The camp is situated behind the old railway station... We were worried about the setting as we drove in. But the reception was welcoming and the bar and eating area looked great. Even though there was a mix up with our booking the staff quickly offered a suitable solution. Dinner was plentiful, well prepared and very tasty. Because one of...

We stayed there overnight on our way to Maun. Basic Chalets and ensuites. the shower did leak but wasnt a problem. It appears as if they are doing some upgrades in the campsite as there was a bit of construction going on. two chalets have aircon and two dont. ours didnt. it is fine for an over night.

Possibly the most disappointing stop over ever experienced. Premises difficult to locate ... no location signage. Reception staff unaware of our arrival and no interest shown. Totally disorganized and when we were eventually shown to our chalet it was established it was occupied. The camp has no security, is in a pathetic state and shambolic.

We ended up at Camp Itumeleng after a 6.5 hour delay at the Martin's Drift border post. Good accommodation in Palapye is difficult, so we were glad when they phone to let us know that they have rooms for the 10 people in our group. Reception was friendly and helpful and soon enough we were installed in the rooms. The...

Very interesting and could be intimidating location. BUT no problems! Very friendly and just easy going and relaxed. Clean, but not up to date facilities. good for a relaxed stopover though. swimming pool. chalets and camping safe and sound in friendly Botswana at budget pricing

Camp Itumela is always my stop over on my way to Maun. They have everything a camper needs. Pool, braai facilities, bar and restaurant. Shops 2 minutes away to get anything. Campers kitchen and abolitions available. No grass on the campsite, but is the Kalahari after all 👍🏻 Awesome Kalahari sunsets and sunrises!!!

This is a pick your own campsite kind of place. We arrived late so not much to choose from. Our site close to the outdoor showers was fine. Pretty dusty, but it is sandy in Botswana and to be expected. Ablution blocks were reasonably clean. Campsites do have a table. Ok for one night. Since campers can park anywhere, you...

The bar and restaurant are nice, but the accommodation is poor. Every room seems to have something broken (mine didn't have a latch, my companions didn't have a working overhead light, the next two had a problem with the door lock. Mosquitos are a problem and no screens on the window or bed nets. At 1am, a group of drunk...

I have slept in many many places in my life in many many countries on this planet. Some of them were bad but none come even close to this squalid hovel. Clearly this establishment only makes money from it's all night parties since they have no interest in keeping their accommodation presentable. The rooms are filthy. The taps all leak,...

Besides the ongoing all-night party in the bar, the other guests who watched movies on their laptop all night (rooms aren't soundproof at all) and played loud music from their car at 3am, and the railway shunting yard behind the camp roaring to life at 5am, the other disturbing factors were the leaking showers and handbasins, overhead fans that didn't...
