My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant several times while on vacation in Costa Rica. The plates are just the right size. Friendly staff and you don't have to be a guest to eat here or pay a fee. Whoever is running the kitchen is doing a fantastic job!. Everything was great but the Tuna Steak was by...

Sugar Beach Hotel is nearly at the end of the road, and not within walking distance to other attractions, but what a beautiful place. The room we were in was huge with a four poster bed and 100ft. from the ocean. The food was outstanding and the hotel staff was simply the best. A must recomendation.

The hotel is located in a small bay with a nice view, especially at sunset. The rooms are comfortable , spacious and have ( those that offer ) true ocean view. The pool is nice and is surrounded by a beautiful garden . The restaurant is not bad. In my stay I received from the front desk excellent service.

My family and I have just got back from an 8 day stay at hotel sugar beach and we all loved it. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by a team who all spoke good English. Our room was spotlessly clean and so close to the beach that we slept at night with the sliding...

Let's be honest, if you don't have your own transport there is not a great deal to do at Sugar Beach as it is in quite an isolated location so if you are into shopping and nightlife then best to give it a miss. However, if you want a genuinely relaxing break in a very peaceful setting with only the...

We first stumbled onto this hotel when lost late one night over a decade ago. That visit was an absolute delight and we always wanted to return, which we finally did about 2 years ago; and then we stayed again recently. Each visit was delightful in many respects, and the location is to die for. The road is now paved...

Gorgeous property directly on the beach. Rooms are extremely clean with good amenities. Food for all meals is fresh and delicious with changing specials on a daily basis. Private beach and pool just for hotel guests. Tranquil. Would return in a heartbeat.

Hotel Sugar Beach is nestled beside a beautiful and secluded cove on the Guanacaste coast. We stayed for three nights in March. The hotel is a great find with lovely grounds just steps from the beach. And if you want to laze beside the infinity pool, the ocean is still within view. On our way to breakfast the first morning,...

My family and I stayed at Hotel Sugar Beach for 4 nights during the second week of March. It is a beautiful hotel and very good value for the experience of peace and relaxation you will receive! My brother uses a motorized scooter due to mobility issues and we were very pleasantly surprised by the accessibility of the hotel grounds!...

Thanks for your excellent contribution! I'm glad you touched on the accessibility topic. As of today, we have finished the ramp to the swimming pool! Glad you enjoyed the proximity of the beach, the natural surroundings, and our service. It was nice to hear your positive experience at Sugar Beach!

Don't go, please don't go. If you go you'll love it and tell your friends and they'll go and then when I go back it will be full. Unless of course you don't want a quiet parradise on a stunning beach with fabulous wild life. If you don't want Victor to tell you about how the chef can cook the...

Thanks so much for your refreshing and fun review! Personally, I don't think reverse psychology will work here with such great remarks about our natural surrounding, beautiful beach and great service. Come back soon!
