It was a pleasant surprise, a clean, hospitable, courteous environment but above all for the variety of dishes offered both in the first and second course courses, all cooked and served differently from the usual menus and delicious. Two pizzas, a medium beer, a small one, a coffee, water, cover charge 36.50 euros! TOO MUCH... we wanted to try the pizza first and then possibly, another day, we would have returned to the restaurant... we won't do it... in our favorite pizzeria closest to our home we would have paid 9 euros less for the same things (we got the same ones things, just to have a point of comparison) with more stuffed pizzas (the porcini mushrooms cover the pizza, the sausage ditto and we don't charge if we ask to put a little more while here they charged us 1.50 euros plus you had to look for the mushrooms in the pizza!). Everyone is very kind and welcoming which is normal and shouldn't be a factor to evaluate but when you eat there are much more important things! “Location” is not enough! Sin !

A truly beautiful and functional structure where nothing is missing. The rooms and bathrooms and in general all the rooms and shared spaces are spacious and modern. The external ones with swimming pool and solarium are also very beautiful. Professional and kind staff. The restaurant is special with very particular dishes, well presented, with local products at absolutely affordable prices. The special quality/price ratio. An absolutely positive experience especially if experienced through a holiday package given to us which, in general, does not offer much and which often, especially in WE, does not accept, is not accepted or requires an often even exorbitant surplus. They accepted our package without hesitation and without surprises. Great for cyclists as they are properly equipped.

We stayed at the property for a weekend right before they closed for holidays. Despite this, everything was truly perfect. Courteous and helpful staff. Cleanliness both in the lounge and in the quite spacious room with a beautiful view of the town of Sassello. Fine cuisine at a reasonable price for a menu based on excellent pasta and meat with plenty of porcini mushrooms. We will definitely be back.

We spent 2 nights, also taking advantage of the restaurant which we found exquisite, lots of choice and all of high quality! We used a disabled room because my dad is in a wheelchair and of all the places I've been to this is #1 disabled friendly. There are two huge, comfortable bathrooms and the room is perfectly structured for these needs (it is not easy to find such a well-equipped structure). The very nice swimming pool, surrounded by greenery and with music in the background in the afternoon and also in the evening. The family management is attentive to every need, there are smiles for everyone and maximum availability. You can tell they love their job. Compliments!!! We will definitely be back!!

We could not take advantage of the pool, spotless and with whirlpool... too bad the day was not the best. Sea at about 1/2 hour drive, cmq reachable. I repeat, ad hoc cleaning (the shower seemed new, not even a little limestone at the bottom of the structure) fragrant towels, white sheets (I used my UV lamp, 100% clean) congratulations. A place to relax halfway between the mountains and the sea. Welcoming, clean, spacious structure surrounded by nature with a beautiful 360 degree view. Very kind staff, excellent cuisine with attention to both the presentation and the quality of the dishes offered, delicious pizzas with a wide choice. Excellent and varied intercontinental breakfast, both sweet and savory, including local products. Quiet, large, clean and comfortable room, livable terrace with view, air conditioning and large and very comfortable bed. There is an enchanting outdoor swimming pool with deckchairs, sun loungers and a solarium on the lawn. Excellent starting point for nature walks, excursions on Mount Beigua or to the Faiallo pass, for fans of the mushroom area to collect or taste, in half an hour you can reach the beaches of Varazze and Albisola or the beautiful town of Acqui Terme. In the area there is also a riding stable with horses and the production and sale of delicious macaroons. Admittedly after having stayed in the delightful Hotel du Lac, Gardone Riviera the night before the Pian del Sole would have to work hard to match up but sadly it wasn't even trying. This was probably the perfect retreat in the 80s - you could see what once was - but no longer. Dated decor is one thing but drab, tired, damaged rooms and bathrooms is not acceptable. We were barely acknowledged when we arrived. Even though we had emailed requesting a table for dinner in their restaurant (an email which we now know why it was ignored) the first we knew they were closed for dinner was when we were handed our key with no eye contact and with a shrug told that the restaurant was closed but plenty of options in town. Not that any suggestions were given. Oh but we could use the pool! In fact there were very few places open. Only bars with snacks. We were saved by a restaurant deciding to open even though their website said they were closed. Breakfast was uninspiring but not a surprise by this point. The young chap who checked us out was cheerier but all too late. Overall impression is of a place that the owners no longer want to run, would like to sell, move on, retire but no-one wants to buy these places. It could be a fabulous boutique hotel in the hills but it needs a lot of work and money spent on it.

I took a few days of relaxation in comfort at the Pian del Sole hotel. Clean and complete rooms, restaurant / pizzeria able to satisfy all tastes, magnificent swimming pool and green area where you can relax al fresco. We also found an inflatable suitable for children with water jets, my little one really liked it. There is also a small play area with constructions and some games. The owner is very nice and helpful, The polite and capable restaurant staff and the poolside barman will spoil you during your stay. Complete structure and well managed, we will return to the next relaxing break!
