We stayed here for 4 nights at Christmas. Driver picked us up from airport (25$US) and bought us to the peace of Uluwatu. Great accomodation: Many good points Very Clean Quiet Friendly staff Good A/C Beautiful gardens and small pool Only 6 cottages so feels like your own place - we rarely saw anyone. Only downside - you really need a scooter or transport to get to beaches and temple - very hot and hilly!!
The cottages are very nice and stay cool with the AC. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. It is sort of out of town and is not really walking distance to anything but if you rent a bike you can get places easily.
The grounds are lovely and well kept, air con, bed linen and bathroom all cottage facilities were great, pool is shady and clean, great breakfast with a good choice and fresh juices and coffee. Yes it's a little out of town but that's the beauty, hire a scooter for a short ride into Single fin or Sunday's beach club. very friendly staff and a great chef !
My boyfriend and I stayed at Uluwatu Lumbung Cottages for three nights and had a great experience! The little cottages are beautiful and thought it was great how much they managed to fit into such a small space. The breakfast every morning was lovely, especially the orange juice and coffee! There is a lot more choice of free breakfast than other hotels I’ve stayed at which was nice. My boyfriend had a different breakfast every day whereas I stuck to a tropical granola bowl. The pool at the end was also stunning. I wish we had more time to chill there but if you had the time there were plenty of sun beds. The only downside was the location as nothing is really a comfortable walking distance. If you get a bike you’ll be okay but we didn’t and it was a struggle to order taxis or find a car to take us back to the cottages some nights. Overall, it was a great stay!…
Pros: Amazing beautiful jungle setting with 7 cottages only. All nice and simple, clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Great place to just chill. very serene. Decent breakfast. Cons: Locating is isolated a bit so you are at the mercy of the taxi's organised by the hotel. Uber /Grab not allowed so charges for cabs are higher than normal. It's not a full hotel, yes there is a lovely pool and you can get breakfast but there is no 8am-10pm restaurant. There is a kitchen and a cook who serves breakfast. So all other meals are outside of the hotel. We recovered from our jetlag here so didn't need to get up to much and hence was fine for a two night stay.
