Amazing view over Uluwatu. Nice simple cottages, high-quality food, lovely staff, and amazing gardens. Great value and close to everything in uluwatu. I would happily go back and stay there anytime and recommend others to do the same. Wi-fi in the rooms a little slow but that's not why we were there.
Quaint cosy place with a spectacular cliffside view of the ocean. Breakfast food was average to minimal but getting food outside can be tough as the hotel is quite a distance from the main road and shops are far apart from each other along a hilly road. Best form of transportation is by scooter or car rental as the only other option is the overpriced taxi service in partnership with the hotel. Despite that, my stay would have been pleasant if the hotel didnt require me to change rooms after my first night. Before my stay, they emailed me that it was due to some upgrading renovations to the bathrooms and I had requested them if they can make arrangements that I don't have to switch rooms but I did not receive any reply. Fast forward to my second day at the hotel, a clerk knocks at my door informing that I need to leave my current suite into another because there were guests that were checking in. Seriously?! Why can't the new guests stay in the other vacant suite and why is there a discrepancy in the reasons for my move? The clerk replied that it's common practice to swap guests in the case of their limited number of rooms being fully booked. She went on to explain that the original room I was in was their Premium Suite as a sign of goodwill for the inconvenience and that the room I'm moving to was the actual suite that I had booked. I requested to speak with the manager but he was not in at the moment - nor for the remainder of my stay. I will not return to this hotel.…
My daughter and I stayed three nights. We were relieved to stay there after the hotel experience at Gilli Air. The place is lovely, very comfortable. The shower is great with plenty of hot water, spacious dressing room with drawers, vanity cove, plenty of hot water in the basin. The air con works great. The WiFi in our room at the back edge of the property was not great. The food needs a good consultant. . .its not appealing to someone like myself who is used to living in Ubud where there are many gluten free options. It’s generic, which is fine,,but not memorable. Instead we walked directly across the street to Yoga Searcher’s lovely restaurant that is more the style we liked, with plenty of free juices, smoothie bowls, pancakes, etc etc etc. The staff at Uluwatu Cottages were VERY helpful in getting taxi to airport. And in many other ways. Professional and well run establishment overall, that could use some new energy in it’s menu and upgrade WiFi in some of the rooms.…
Visited in October 2019 as a family of 4, 2 kids under 5 from Melbourne Australia. We attended a wedding at Uluwatu and all I can say is it was spectacular! The venue with the infinity pool overlooking the cliff top is amazing. The resort itself was boutique and not too large to be highly commercial. The rooms were well appointed, clean yet basic. The restaurant offered good local and western cuisine at reasonable prices. The only thing I would say could be improved was breakfast options - compared to other Asian buffets it was a bit light on options but still enough to get the day started. Would definitely recommend and would defiantly stay again!
We were a couple of two and really enjoyed our 2 night stay here! The pool is great with an amazing view over the cliffs. The ambiance is calm, food was good, and breakfast buffet had plenty to offer! Room was spacious and clean, not complaints at all. Would definitely recommend !
