Location is good and close to the thermal valley & main street (about 15min. walk). No shops nearby. Service is good and nice room view. Room soundproofing is not so good, can clear hear talking from another room. nice breakfast and hot spring pool. 位於地熱谷附近比較安靜的區域。早餐很棒,服務非常好,停車場比較遠,泡湯設備很棒。房間隔音稍差,面樹林房很優。
The hotel get very busy with groups of family gathering during the CNY period which causing slow service and multiple errors. We left our luggage after check-in for a walk, and were told that our luggages were inside our room, but at the end it took us three calls the get the luggage. The TV remote control did not function, we called the reception and they have sent a cleaner to help to fix it but unsuccessful. For the dinner, semi-buffet was provided during CNY instead of set dinner which they usually offered, the buffet quality was bad.
Room is big, clean and comfortable. There are also free water, snacks and nice lotions. After taking the hot spring, you can enjoy coffee and tea. Pretty kind service, I will definitely visit a hot spring here again.
Went with my sister for a quick trip out of Taipei. Lovely place and amenities! Walk-able from Xin Beitou MRT up a flight of rather steep stairs, but worth it. Complimentary snacks, coffee, apples. Service was good too. Would go back again!
We stayed at The Gaia for 3 nights. We loved the receptionist, Irene, who checked us in early with a smile and fluent English. My daughter turned 9 years old during our stay so Irene arranged arranged a cake to be sent to our room on the day, and helped me book a horse riding experience which my daughter asked for her birthday! The breakfast staff were also friendly and helpful. My negatives of the hotel include the small size of our room! It was quite cramped for us three, and felt claustrophobic after three days there. The gym was also small with limited machines. Children were not allowed in the onsen (hot spring bath). Overall I think it’s a hotel more for adults than for family with kids.
