I assume since the room price is on par with international brands like holidayinn, novotel or melia, you expect similar service and facilities. The room is nice and the pool is clean, the FO is efficient. But: the breakfast is too simple, the food selection is limited, the fruit doesnt look freshly cut (brown bananas, frozen pappaya), at 10 am there were no coffee cups and they replaced those with paper cups - paper cups at breakfast in a 100USD++ hotel?! pool (the selling point of the hotel since very few hotels in Taiwan have pools open at winter time)- around 7 chairs for over 150 guests, and one of the chairs is always occupied by a so-called "guard"... Nonsense...

Our two nights stay was awesome! My family has been going to this hotel, even before it changed management/name. (It used be called Smokey Joe Hotel.) Overall, the place was excellent. Front desk persons were very friendly. My only complaint was the breakfast. There are only a few choices, whether Asian, Western, or Chinese meals. I felt like they only attached breakfast so that they could post that there is free breakfast. I tried four different entrees, and they all tasted awful. It looks like they do not have a chef, just someone throwing up some meals out of obligation. My suggestion is stay away from he breakfast. It is not worth it. You are better off going to a fast food restaurant nearby. Having said this, I still would come back and enjoy the hospitality of the place. Also, the beach right across the parking lot was gorgeous. Check out my attached photo

My second time staying with this hotel chain and I am still impressed with the room. The room was designed like a beachfront hotel room with a balcony, even if we were on the second floor. Very clean bedroom and bathroom. The shower gel and shampoo were of good quality and I bought a bottle back from the shop beside the counter. Fully equipped room with all the necessary facilities and it was cosy for my family. Location was perfect! It is a 5-8min walk to the beach from the back gate. The night market is right at the front of the hotel, which has a small man-made sandy beach set-up. So getting local street food is just a stone throw away, very convenient. Another thing to praise is the breakfast - mains we get to select from a menu and the other items we just pick from the buffet area. I am amazed by how delicious the main item was! So were the other food items. But not that if you have a big group, it is better to go earlier as it can get quite crowded. Would love to stay here again next time!

Got off our tour transport and was greeted by a buzzing area, great stuff! The area is buzzing with street food, seafood, cocktails, dried fruit, local food, deserts, freshly squeezed juice, massage services etc! Hotel was like a boutique style! Colourful, modern, funky with delicious breakfast! Each room has its own design! It was a shame we didn’t have time to try out the pool! Staff were polite! In short, highly recommended and it exceeded our expectations!

The hotel's location is superb. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel but some express buses may not stop there so it is better to get off/on the bus at "Kenting Arch" stop which is about 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel. The night market is just a step from the hotel's entrance. The room was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. There are drinks provided for free in the fridge. The hotel's ambience was very lovely:modern with a lot of greens. The hotel is not on the beach but some of the rooms offer ocean view from the distance including ours. The breakfast was served at 8AM which is quite late. You can pick one (either hot or cold) main dish from 5 of them with all-you-can-eat salad bar, etc. Indeed salad bar has plenty enough varieties that the main dish is kind of redundant. I even had a beef noodle in the morning! I saw some people asked the hotel to pack their cold main dish for to-go and only eat salad bar instead so I did the same the next morning since I had to take the bus leaving at around 8.40AM and have no time to enjoy full breakfast. The only negative thing I can think of the hotel is that there is not enough space to hang wet clothes. Given that the hotel is a resort hotel with a pool, they should provide at least a fold-away hanger rack in room. Since I was staying in the cheapest room without balcony, it was difficult to find any space to hang our wet swim wears though. In total, Kenting is a wonderful place and the hotel is worth the money spent. Will definitely return! Hopefully for a longer stay:-)

We had a very enjoyable stay here. We stayed in a large 8 person room. Although the room was very tight, it was fun. The pool was fun too. The front desk staff were shy, and didn’t smile much at us, but they were very kind and helpful. This was so convenient because the Night Market was right outside the door. If the price stays low enough we will definitely go back.

The hotel is located just across from the bus stop to Kaohsiung. Even though there is a night market on the main street every day, the noise does not carry into the hotel. It's nice to sit on the sun loungers in front of the entrance with a cocktail (you can even eat some street food snacks there!). The courtyard is a little oasis with tropical plants and a pool which we enjoyed swimming in (the beach is close by but dangerous because of undercurrents). However, there could have been more sunbeds and poolside towels provided. Rooms were spacious and clean, each has a small balcony. They are covered by the roof, which is nice in case of rain, but makes he room a bit dark. Breakfast had plenty of cooked-to-order choices (mostly Asian). The highlight was the friendliness of staff - they went out of their way to call taxis, book restaurants and arrange sightseeing for us. We would definitely come back!

It is a beautiful hotel. If there is a room, if the passenger needs to change the room,I hope to get more active assistance. The breakfast is varied and varied, and parking is convenient. Overall it is a recommended hotel.

Hotel location is very good, at 1 end of the Kenting main street. We took carpool (NT400 each) from Kaohsiung train station, so they sent us to the doorstep of hotel. Checking in was fast. I think it is not the peak season now, hence not much crowd. Room was spacious, clean & tastefully done up. Beds were very big, twin bed. There's a balcony attached to the room, our balcony was facing the corridor walkway. There is paid self- service laundry which I did not try, can't comment much. I did use the swimming pool for a short while. There were some dead ants/ unknown insects, flowers & leaves in the pool. Water also don't look clean, even though I saw the hotel staff using a fishing net to fish out the flowers & leaves. Breakfast is available, main dish is ala carte with all you can eat limited choices side dishes. I will suggest getting breakfast with the room because most shops along the main street don't open early for business. I will choose to stay in this hotel again if I come to Kenting.
