shower booth was so dirty. i booked two room, restroom was dirty like that picture. Staff insist that is their best they can do. toilet cant flush well, afraid of using it. i woke up middle of night, beacuse lady in next was screaming(you know why).
We had a fantastic 5 days at this resort. Even when the weather turned bad, there was a lot to do. Breakfast was different every morning. Their BBQ dinner buffet was great. The pools and waterslide are excellent if you’re traveling with kids. There ‘s a free shuttle to Kenting street every night, starting at 6:00 pm. Snacks and necessities from their convenient store was very reasonably priced. I was quite surprised by that. One negative thing that stood out though was the hallway carpets. They weren’t vacuumed properly. In fact, I didn’t see or hear them using vacuum cleaners the whole time we were there.
No. 235 Kenting Road, Hengchun Township, Pingtung County AmazInn When our driver dropped us at the exterior of the hotel, which is located along the Night Market, we were skeptical about this ‘small motel-like’ hotel. Our 9-seater van made a quick stop along the road side to unload our luggage. To our surprise, the interior of Amaz Inn looked new. It’s a cute & cheerful boutique hotel. The dining area or rather the open cafe where we have our daily breakfast is at the lobby. Separated by some dividers (shelves) is where the internet service & sofas are. The reception staff were courteous and they put us all on the same floor, next door to one another. We had a swift check-in. There is a laundry room at the basement near the carpark. It is coin-operated — washing machine, dryer & spinning machine. This was really helpful as we had loads of clothes to be washed. Try not to go there alone as it is not locked from the carpark. It is opened 24-hr. Access to rooms using keycards. The room is compact, small, very neat & modern. Nice amenities. Comfortable bed. Each room has different designs. There is no wardrobe but shelving space. Our rooms were not street-facing so it was pretty quiet. Breakfast coupons are needed. The spread was generous. It was crowded before 8.30am. A few steps away from Amaz Inn is the busy Kending Street Market. It’s less crowded than Shilin (Taipei) or Fengjia (Taichung). Taking our time to stop & choose the items at the stalls was not worrying at all here. Of course if you want more choices, Taichung’s I think is great. There are many convenient shops as well as Cosmo cosmetic shops here. There are 2 Thai restaurants along the street. We had our dinner at Mambo Thai Restaurant, it served decent food with good service. We brought our balance passion fruits & persimmons into the restaurant and the staff gladly cut them for us. Kending has many parks, beaches & other sightseeing places. There is one place that we went to play paint ball, a really simulated kind. Pyng An Paint Ball Co Ltd. This was my 2nd visit there. Everyone enjoyed! Young & Old:)) It was breezy in December, the strong winds at the beaches could blow our scarves away, do be careful. If you have time, visit the Er Luan Bi Lighthouse, walk to the Southern Most Point, stroll in Kending Nature Park & Sheding Park, (skip the Aquarium as it is tired-looking now), try a few games at Pyng An Paint Ball compound to fill up your day or two!…
Its a resort, quite old but good enough. It has shuttle buses every 30 mins to/ from local night market. Its also has fitness room, snack bar and big restaurant. Breakfast is the best of its services. Good for family weekend!
This is a typical resort hotel with two swimming pools, a pool with waterslides and a quit pool to sun and relax. The hotel is well kept But somewhat dates. Breakfast is buffet style with a large selection of Taiwanese dishes. The buffet also provides fresh fruits, juices and an egg station. Staff is very friendly and forthcoming. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the nearby nightmarket and restaurant area in the evenings.
When I discovered the duvet, there were many dirty spots on bed sheet. I had to call room service to change the sheet. After he leaved, I discovered another duvet on the second bed. What I found was blood (like period) on the sheet. Well...it was not a comfortable experience to sleep in the room...
Wonderfully located between the beach and the Kenting nightmarket, both about five minutes away from the resort. Staff were very friendly and cooperative. The shower conveniently has plastic-saving shampoo and body wash dispensers inside the showers, which is really awesome for those who don't like wasting the small plastic bottles. Recommended place to stay!
We booked into this hotel with a group of friends and were given rooms facing the grassy knoll rather than the ocean. They rooms were large and comfortable and there was a free bus service into the town area. However, there were no facilities at the hotel for a small snack and drink in the evening.
Located on the west coast at Kenting, we stopped here for an evening during a cycling tour of Taiwan. The rooms were excellent with balcony views over the ocean. Out time was limited but we did manage to make use of the games facilities: snooker, 10 pin bowling, table tennis to name a few. Dining was excellent as was the breakfast. The rooms were clean and roomy and staff very friendly and courteous.
We stayed here for three nights. Below is a summary of various aspects of the hotel and the stay: - Location: It is located on the main highway in Kenting (Taiwan Highway No.1). Be aware that unlike several other large resorts, it is not that within convenient walking distance to the “Kenting main street” where a lot of the shops, restaurants, street vendor and night life activities are located. The hotel offers a shuttle to the main street in the evening time. It is a <5 minute bus ride. - Transportation: The hotel offers once or twice daily direct shuttle service (either via passenger van or mini-bus) to and from the Zuoing High Speed Rail station for hotel guests at no additional charge, but advance reservation is required. The trip takes about 2 hours. Alternatively, you can also catch the Kenting Express Bus (runs about every 30 minutes I believe) and the final stop in Kenting is at the foot of the hotel. The trip takes about 2.5 hours. - Check In: Check in was ok but there was some confusion as to how many complimentary meals were included; it was sorted out eventually. Also, I had a piece of luggage sent directly from the Taoyuan airport to the hotel. (costs about USD8.00 and it arrived the next day). It had actually arrived and was accepted by the concierge desk the day before we arrived. When we checked in, I was told they had not received any luggage some internal checking. It was after I called the delivery company and confirmed the delivery did the hotel staff finally realized that my bag had arrived the day before. No-harm-no-foul…but a little annoying. - Room: The room is spacious with two king sized beds which we combined into one. We had a room on the first floor with ocean view and a small balcony. The view was great and noise (from the pool or the hallway) wasn’t really an issue. The room felt a little dated but was clean and big enough for everyone to move about freely. - Hotel Facilities: There is an outdoor pool and a separate indoor water spa/pool area. The kids really enjoyed the pool area. But the age of the facility really showed as some of the floor wood planks in the outdoor pool area had become uneven and loose. For the indoor pool area, there was pretty serious water ponding throughout the floor when people were using the facility – both of which created potential safety hazards. There is also a small gym and a kids’ play room. Both appeared to be clean visually but we did observe a cockroach right above the drinking water station. - Dinning: Breakfast was included and the breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of western and eastern items. The variety was good and I enjoyed the eastern items. The restaurant had an expensive view of the ocean. - Staff: All the staff that we encountered were friendly and courteous. - Summary: Fullon is a pretty large hotel group in Taiwan with about 15 properties across the country so you can expect a certain level of standard. Our stay was enjoyable overall, but this hotel certainly had some kinks and areas for improvement. I believe they should really take a look at the condition of the pool areas since those can be potential safety issues.…
