the staff were friendly and location is good. The hotel is very dirty. Lobby, corridors, stairs and lift is very filthy, dirty and smelly. The room is very dusty, smelly and disgusting. Under the bed dust, rubbish and hairs are accumulating like never been vacuumed or mopped for a long time. There are no tables to put things or chairs to seat on. Dust and rubbish just everywhere is just disgusting. To think about I think most the good reviews are coming from the owner it self, isn’t fair. Don’t go there if you care about your health

Spent a night here before my trip to Taroko National Park the next day in November 2018. The staffs are friendly and room is quite new and well maintained. The toilet is very impressive with jacuzzi and has quite ample space. Value for money

we stayed here for 3 nights and it was good to explore Hualien! Having the main streets of hualien to the right and left. There are plenty of local foods near and we have received excellent service from the stores that sells taiwanese steamed burger, rice rolls and soy beancurd! In the morning, you can get fresh youtiao and soymilk from just across the hotel at one of the local shops. Reception was friendly and they had a lot of patience when dealing with my numerous questions about itinerary planning. We did not have an idea of what would be the best to do in Hualien but our questions got answered very clearly by the male receptionist. It was easy to arrange private drivers for day trip to taroko gorge and other areas and sort out laundry too. There is a 24 hour laundry across the road. The room itself was pretty big and had a fridge. We stayed in a doubles room with a private ensuite. Bathroom is clean and lovely.

We booked 2 double bedrooms and a triple room. Rooms are clean but only a room is a bit smelly. Seems like smoking smell. We arrived late but anyway able to make some drinks and get some snacks from the lobby.

This hotel is at walking distance to temple entrance black tea (廟口紅茶), yi-hsiang flat dumplings (液香扁食), east gate night market (東大門夜市). Their receptionists are one of the best that you could imagine in the world. They are super polite and respectful. The lobby also serves the complimentary snacks and drinks. We were lucky to have a free upgrade during our stays. The regular taxi fee from Hualien train station is around 150 ntd. I will highly recommend this hotel.
