We booked a suite room not bad, hotspring was coldspring!! That's not what we paid for leaving taipei to go to yilan for hotspring, if we just wanted to stay at hotel there are plenty of beautiful hotels in taipei. And when management was told about it they said oh we can't change it was 35 degree, our body temp is normally 36.5 so how is 35 considered hotspring but they just don't get it and gave us the typical Chinese no no. We left early and will never go back unless management changes.
We went there for the weekend, hotsprint they advertise but give you cold spring with 35 degree! ridiculous and when we told them they said it is the way it is...typical china behavior, no brain. we spoke to manager and his idea was that the weather outside is cooler so water is cold!, i said if so, then winter time should be freezing, then he had no reply and looked at me with a strange stupid look. we checked out and did not want to stay the next night, and we will never go back.
This was our second stay to Hotel Valletta. We returned as a family of four because the staff and the facilities were great when we visited last year. This time around, we had the same experience-great staff and great facilities. We enjoyed the indoor pool again as well as the outside area this time around. The biggest area for improvement from what we can see would be meal choice. The breakfast was good, not great, but consistent to our last visit. What was different this time was we paid for half board, which included breakfast and dinner. We stayed 4 days and the dinner was exactly the same each night. The food was good but not good enough to repeat each night. If we stayed here again, we would definitely opt to have dinner outside of the property. Other than this, we had a nice stay. …
This newish Hotel is of world class standards. Spacious, well appointed rooms. Great location, and top class services. Hot spring water pool area is really superb and better than the Fluer de Chine hotel at Sun Moon Lake. This is my 2nd visit to Taiwan but this Hotel tops the rest, & that's a compliment as the standard of top hotels in Taiwan is of a high standard anyway. Breakfast was most adequate.
I booked two rooms for me and my family in beginning of April. We arrived at 3pm which is officially check in time, however, there were loads of people waiting in lobby and receptionist said ‘‘ there were too many customers last night and we don’t have enough housekeepers to make rooms on time, so you need to wait.’’ It’s not a big problem to wait, but they didn’t tell you when the rooms can be available. We waited for an hour and checked 3 times if rooms are available or not. Eventually they upgraded us to terrace hot spring suites to stop us from being waiting. Room is okay, big & clean. Location is very easy to access if you come by public transport, and it takes 15 minutes to walk to town centre. Breakfast is full of variety. It would be a nice choice if you avoid coming at a long weekend. …
Hotel Valletta a wow stay! The hotel room is big, free cosmetics were complete and of good quality, with free nougat and kumquat from Taiwan.... Centrally located hotel, walking distance to good restos, church, etc I love their spa, warm water to bath with water splashing over your body and face... It's worth the visit. Thank you Angie for recommending.
It’s a great place... me and my friends love it. Enjoy the Spa pool... The rooms design and amenities is glamorous. I really recommend to stay in this hotel. The services and foods is good. Jiaoxi, Yilan is really a great place to come with friends and family. The scenery in Yilan is also good, very nature.
This hotel was open in late 2018, so it is clean and new. Very close to bus station, just a block away. We stayed 2 nights before lunar new year and chose half board plan, both breakfast and dinner were great, plenty of food choices with unlimited coffee and soft drinks. There was a gym room, kids area and even wii station on M/F, though small, this added fun to our spare time in the hotel. The water spa on 1/F was good with variety, but it was quite crowded at times.
The hotel facade had a commanding presence. The rooms were very luxurious with big, comfortable beds and lots of sockets for various gadgets to plug on; ideal for multiple cellphones charging. There's a shower and a bath tub separate from the toilet. And if you want to splash some more, there's a spa on the ground floor with various types of showers that feel like massaging waters running down your body. There are lots of delicious local foods within 7-10 minutes walk; fish spa or plain massage parlors. There's also a park nearby while the train station is within walking distance should you want to visit a popular whisky place or other tourist spots. Breakfast choices are quite impressive with alternate menu served everyday. Service is impeccable though few staff can speak English. But then courtesy and A-1 service are universal languages. This hotel is more than highly recommended!…
Booked this hotel on a whim since there was a miscommunication with the Evergreen Hotel. This is a blessing in disguise really. This hotel is 10x better than Evergreen. It feels so much PEACEFUL. I guess since it’s new, there’s not a lot of visitors yet. Hopefully, it’ll maintain this tranquil atmosphere. We booked the family room with terrace.
