A small hotel but gave us wonderful experience as soon as we arrived. The receptionists are really nice and helpful, they even helped us to cut the fruits we bought from the wet market. Rooms are new and clean, modern design. Toilet is big in double room, but quite small in room with twin (actually big) beds. Hot spring bath tub in room, high quality body wash is provided. Bluetooth speaker, TV, coffee machine available. Snacks and drinks are free in room and at the cafe mini bar, including fruits, biscuits, soft drink, yogurt, tea, coffee, milk, juice..... Close to 2 hot spring parks if you want to try the public foot bath. The only complain is light will come in the room via the toilet windows early in the morning. Not suitable for people who need to sleep in really dark environment. A few new hotels nearby but this one definitely worth for money.

Service On arrival in the rain, the hotel staff brought two umbrellas to shelter us from the taxi into the hotel. On our return from dinner still in the rain, even the manager brought out the umbrella to shelter us. We were given very good advice to take the bus back to Taipei instead of paying for the car on New Year's eve as the train tickets were sold out. The bus journey was an hour long and the ride was smooth. The next morning, when I enquired about walking the trails at Linmei Shipan and Wufengqi waterfall, I was pleasantly surprised when Miss Lin informed me that the hotel could fetch us there at 9 am. She also told us not to worry about rushing back to check out at 12 pm as it was drizzling and she was concerned about us walking safely. Room We stayed in 1009, the family room. It is modern with the cute night light. There are free minibar and capsule coffee machine in the room. Soaking in the bath with the music from the bluetooth audio was such a relaxing experience. However we did not use the small balcony after the bathroom and thought that instead of the balcony, the space could be used for a bigger bathroom. We had a good night sleep. Breakfast We chose the earlier slot at 7 am for breakfast. My husband, who is vegetarian, was so pleased with the food available for him such as tomato-based spaghetti, sweet potatoes, salad, cooked vegetables and a selection of bread. There are much variety to have a yummy breakfast. Food There is a 24 hour snack counter with free tea, coffee, fruits, ice-cream, yoghurt and snacks. Games such as cards, mahjong, boardgames are also available for borrowing. There is a great gift shop too. Location It is walking distance to most places such as the bus station (less than 10 mins), foot bath park (5 mins), train station (10 mins), food street ( less than 15 mins). Jiaoxi is a really touristic town as the attraction is the hot spring bath. In this north eastern side of Taiwan, Jiaoxi has tall buildings due to the numerous hotels here as well as the many cafes which are attractive to the younger people. We could explore much of Jiaoxi as Vasty hotel is centrally located. The Christmas lightings across the road from Wellspring by silk hotel (round the corner from Vasty hotel) was unique and lovely. I am very thankful that I chose to stay at Vasty hotel as it enhanced my experience in Jiaoxi. The lobby is pleasantly decorated in Nordic minimalist style. I would strongly recommend staying in this new hotel while visiting Jiaoxi. Oh, they even gave the guests a farewell gift-a sweet gesture indeed!

Jiaoxi is a hot spring town with many hot spring parks with foot baths & 2 public hot springs gender separated like the Japanese onsens. All hotels have their own hot springs & Vasty has a huge bath in every room with hot spring source for comfort & privacy if you are too shy to soak naked in the public hot springs. Convenient Location -15 min walk from the train station. -5 min walk to the right of hotel for the public NT$120 open air hot spring in the park. - just walk 15-20 min over to the local food streets. All Complimentary, very generous -Bar in the room stocked with drinks -24 hr snacks in the dining corner including fruits, cornflakes, snacks, puddings, yogurt & ice cream. Cold drinks in fridge, coffee machine, tea bags. - Welcome plums delivered to room. - lobby lounge with fruits, snacks & drinks too. - Room upgraded It’s modern & simple. Layout is strange with no window but a backyard balcony outside Japanese toilet. All blinds must be drawn for privacy. See enclosed pictures. Service is Great - A young & enthusiast team, 2 of them speak good English & can communicate very well. - especially Hans, who is really helpful to google places to go, show me road directions. When I asked him what local products to buy home, he asked me if I have tried the local biscuits & kumquat mini packets that are in the room. I did not as there were so much snacks at the dinning area. So he gave me a few samples to try. It’s really good & I walked over to the shop, it turned out to be very popular with tourists, carrying local Yilan products. Thank you Gift from hotel upon checkout. I was surprised. Come & be pampered.
