I stayed here for 3 nights and it was one of the best accommodations I have had in 20 years of traveling experience.
All staff (from the front desk to restaurant) were attentive, providing excellent care to guests, but not intimating at all. It's like your family members taking good care of you.
Room was excellent. Spacious, well design, comfortable, unlimited mini bar with daily fruits and local snacks. Giangatic in-room hot spring tub, so big that I could lie flat (I'm 5'3" tall) in it.
Breakfast was excellent as well. 4 or 5 made to order options plus unlimited buffet bar. Everything tasted great. The made to order options were huge with Japanese, Taiwanese and western flavor. However, the made to order food choice and flavor were on the richer side, more like lunch than breakfast to me. It'll be great if they can offer a simpler lighter option.
It's a beautiful hotel that I could stay all day without leaving. It'll be even better if more amenities (even with a fee) are available, such as a cafe or room service, for guests who want to stay and relax all day long.

People: The reception was very polite and went through the introduction patiently. While enjoying the diner on T floor, the waiter and waitress seems a bit unfamiliar to the food but overall was in very good service.
Food: The dinner was quite nice. It combined Japanese with western.
Room: Great space and comfortable bed.

Booked a deluxe triple room with 2 double beds and a superior twin. Both rooms are really nice and cozy. The snacks provided are tasty and great for munching on while you relax in the room. The spring water tub is huge and my little one enjoyed it very much. The water pressure of the shower is also sufficient. I like the toiletries (Ecostore) very much too. Only 1 area which I think could be improved and it is the toilet and shower position of the twin room (917). They are located at the entry way and without a sliding door, one could feel really exposed when the room door is opened. Would be good to add a sliding door before the toilet and shower area.
Breakfast area is also cozy and service could not be faulted. It is semi buffet style with a main and some buffet items. The Singapore breakfast set, consisting of laksa, was full of ingredients and tasted awesome. The Japanese set was great too!
The hotel is convenient located less than 5min walk from Jiaoxi train station. All the hotel staff we met are friendly, polite and helpful! All in all, highly recommended to anyone visiting Yilan.

Yilan Jiaoxi Shanxingge Hot Spring Hotel is one of our favorite hot spring hotels we have ever stayed in. The sense of high quality is undeniable. The service starts from arriving by car, being guided by the service staff to park the car, and then checking in at the counter. Everything is smooth and the attitude is good. I am in a good mood even before I even enter the room! The room is large and beautifully decorated. Eye-catching large arc-shaped floor-to-ceiling windows and a large and beautiful hot spring pool. The bathrobes provided are beautiful and easy to wear, the supplies are useful, and there are enough snacks and drinks, all free. The bed was big and easy to sleep on, and the pillows were comfortable. Thumbs up if the bathroom has a flush toilet! The dinner was exquisite, delicious and the portion was just right. It’s a hotel worth recommending!

We stayed in the Standard Double Room for one night during mid Sep 2023. ~ We did not visit the Public Hot Springs Facility, because as per their webpage all room types are equipped with one ton of hot and cold original hot spring baths. So we enjoyed the private hot spring baths instead. (pic) ~ The only thing that I do not satisfy with this hotel is the toilet. Pls refer to the attached picture, the toilet bowl is facing the public garden area. Actually, I have gone to the garden and could really see my room’s toilet clearly. Although there is curtain in the toilet, I felt very insecure and uncomfortable. As I only stayed one night so I did not ask for another room. (pic) ~ Hotel serves semi-buffet breakfast, the main course is as abundant as lunch. (pic) ~ The staffs are polite. ~ Coffee and tea is available in the lobby. ~ Hotel is located about 10 minutes’ walk from Jiaoxi Railway Station.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my family of three in a Deluxe Triple room. While it is slightly expensive, I am really glad we chose to stay here. The room was large and spacious, and the facilities were new and clean. We had an onsen bath right in our room, which was a wonderful touch. Additionally, there is an onsen bath on level 2 that I used a couple of times, and it really made me feel like I was in Japan! Location is good too, next to a street of local eateries. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Hope to be back soon!

The room is quite spacious with a pretty round corner couch near the window; nice overall decor and a very comfortable bed
We love a "lighted" room and they have plenty of lights; also an abundance of outlets for all our electronic gadgets
We really like their bathroom set up, very thoughtful with good features The toilet is in a separate room with a small sink A vanity area with mirror and make up ottoman Another wardrobe area with hangers, drawers and space for shoes Another shower area with mirror, sink connected to the in-room onsen, which we enjoy very much
Robes are provided for going to the public onsen on another floor

I did not stay at this property, but rather used its bar as my go-to spot for afternoon drinks. Prices were really reasonable for a 5-star property. I was impressed with everything, in particular one of the management team who introduced himself to me. To my shame, I did not get his name, but I thank him for making me feel very welcome on my visits.
