It is located immediately from Exit 4 of Xinyiguo, MRT. It's easy because there are Japanese speakers at the front desk. The building itself seems to have been renovated somewhat, although it is old. wifi is convenient with additional outlets without any problems. A spit with a bathtub but the water was weak and only the shower was used. The room is spacious for a busy person, and the daily cleaning is careful. The breakfast buffet was full of items but I got tired of staying overnights.

Not a bad hotel especially for the price. Our stay came out to about $43/night for a budget/standard twin room.
The rooms are not luxurious but they are clean. They are also a fairly decent size, though bathroom was a bit small.
I was also working during my trip and the wifi is very reliable and fast. Had no issues with it at all.
My main issues with this hotel were: -Beds are extremely hard. I didn't have issues falling asleep, but it was not as comfortable as one would hope for a 4-star hotel. -So many bugs outside the hotel and in the lobby, specifically moths and mosquitoes. You have to be super quick coming into the hotel and going to your room or mosquitoes will follow you. We had 2 mosquitoes trapped in our room the first night and got a bunch of bites. The second night was fine. The hotel offers a mosquito repellent plug in and mosquito zapper upon request which helped. I'm not sure if other hotels also have this issue, so am cutting this hotel some slack as it does appear as mosquitoes are everywhere in Kaohsiung.

Hotel was located just 1-min away from the MTR. Very convenient and safe to walk at night. Shopping centre (Presidential) was nearby, 5-10min walk only.
Hotel is very new and clean. The room we stayed in was large and spacious compared to the other hotels (in Taiwan). The toilet was also clean.
The hotel has good security. The elevator will only move once you tap your keycard at it.
The only thing that was not so great was the service provided by the staff when we checked-in. They were not so friendly, and did not tell us which floor our room was located. We did not realise this until we stepped into the elevator. We went from floor to floor until we bumped into a staff who told us which level our room was located.
But apart from the above, overall, it's great value for this hotel. Will stay here again.

We traveled to Taiwan in November 2019 and chose to stay at the Kangqiao Business Hotel in Kangqiao; we felt very good. The hotel facilities are very complete. The service attitude is also very good. We feel so satisfied👍 So this time when we travel to Taiwan again, we also choose this hotel to stay. The feeling is the same as last time; the facilities are as perfect as last time and the attitude of the hotel staff is very nice; I hope you can persist in this concern! Serve tourists well and wait until they feel like they are home! I hope I will choose Kindness Hotel to stay next time I come to Taiwan, and enjoy your hotel services and facilities again to add color to my trip.

We stay at this wonderful hotel several days in July 2013 and August 2012. My feeling to this hotel is Amazing and Gorgeous. My room type is the "Chic Section - Business Single".
-- Hotel Facility & Equipment ~~ No complain, almost 100 marks.
-- Staff Attitude & Service ~~ Fast & Efficiency. Warmly welcome for you.
-- Buffet Breakfast at Urban Cafe ~~ Need to complain because too much choice makes my stomach no space to eat each of them even just a piece only.
-- Room Amenities & Cleanliness ~~ All standard items completely available. Bathroom with bathtub and rain shower.
-- Location ~~ From hotel walking to the nearest Kaohsiung Metro "Sinyi Elementary School Station Exit 4" < Three mins.
I don't have a chance enjoy the fitness center. Wish they have a roof top swimming pool. The 7-Eleven located in front of "Sinyi Elementary School Station Exit 2", this is very convenience.
My opinion is : one of the best hotel in Kaohsiung. I will definitely come back again.

Stayed here for a week with family. We went for the cheaper room (there are two types of rooms, ones to the right of the check-in lobby are cheaper and more average sized while those on the left are more premium ones that are more like suites) that includes breakfast. The bed is okay, a bit hard but I think Taiwanese generally prefer harder beds so we were fine. Bathroom is smaller than expected but clean. Not sure why other comments said there was no wifi...there was, just didn't work too well, but if you tell them about it, they'll actually come and install your own wifi router in the room and it is so much better. The breakfast is pretty nice, good variety and balance between Western and Asian dishes.
We were in the corner room of a high-level floor. We didn't notice this the first two days bcs we were hardly in the room but then by our third, we begin to smell something foul, like a smell that you find typically in public toilet in Taiwan, in the room as soon as we get in. The smell "goes away" after our noses get adjusted to it...but it was definitely becoming more and more unpleasant and we even started to notice that the lobby kind of smelled like that, too, every time we come back to the hotel. We requested a room change and they gave us a room that has actually been renovated and has a bathtub as opposed to a shower so it was kinda nice. So we made the change in the afternoon of our 4th day, and about 30min after we unpacked already in the new room, the front desk called asking us if we could switch to another room because they had a Japanese customer checking in and would prefer a room that has a tub so they could bath. The front desk sort of just expected us to move willingly w/o offering up anything for our trouble since we already had to move once since our first room smelled bad and we had just unpacked...I thought it was rather unprofessional on their end, had this been in the US, we would have been offered an upgrade or something or that Japanese guest could have been upgraded if they ran out of the preferred room choice. Anyway, we were busy and had to be on our way out and really didn't want the trouble of packing and unpacking again so we told them that we would not want to move again. Other than these inconveniences, the overall stay was okay and the location was good, I'd consider staying at the hotel again.

Booked two rooms for four as I was travelling with a group of friends. Staff was very courteous and professional at check-in/check-out and throughout the stay. We all liked that the hotel was relatively new with modern decor. Rooms are not large but more than enough for five teenage girls in a room without feeling crowded. There was a tiny window in the room facing a wall so there was essentially no view to talk about. Wifi was okay but at times not strong enough. Requested the iron and ironing board by phone and promptly delivered to room by a service lady though without a smile. Breakfast was not sumptuous but more than sufficient to freshen one up with a fair selection of Western and Chinese food, fresh fruit, etc. A short walk to MRT station makes everywhere so easily accessed. Overall a very nice stay and satisfactory with regard to the price.

Stayed at this hotel with family (including a 4 year old child) during Christmas. Location was convenient which is just 2-3 minutes away from the MRT station, there are always taxis readily available at the corner and it is just a 15 to 20 minutes taxi ride to the airport. The rooms are pretty large enough and the hotel has adhered to our request of a connecting room so that it is more convenient for us travelling as a family. The wifi connection is quite stable too. However, the room is a bit too dark and would be better if a few more lamps are installed. Breakfast is average but variety is wide enough. Especially like the local market just right around the corner when we can get some Taiwan fresh fruits on the day we check out. Recommended stay!!

Transportation It is easily accessible, near the subway station, within 5 mins walk. Also, there's plenty dining options near the hotel which includes traditional Market, cafes, restaurants and snacks etc.
Toilet The room's toilet has at stains at the corners. The space between the toilet bowl and the wall is so small.
Room The room was spacious but it look really dull. The lift was small and slow, probably has to wait for 5 mins if you're staying high floor and missed the lift.
