We booked a Twin Sharing Room with King Bed and a Quad Sharing Room with two queen beds at the Fei Leng Cui Italianate Wing which is the Main wing with the reception. The rooms were run down with old furniture and fittings. We could not see any air conditioning unit in the room and was shocked when I called the reception and was told that there was no air conditioner in the room! We have to open the windows with mesh shades to let the air in. As it was October when we stayed in the hotel and night is fairly cool, so it was ok. I can't imagine staying in this hotel in summer. We ask for extra pillow as there were only two very flat ones but was told that it will be chargeable. This is the first time I have come across this. There is a vegetable farm next to the hotel since we have the windows opened, from early morning we can hear the scooters going up and down hence didn't have a good sleep. The room rate included tickets to the Swiss Garden nearby but there is nothing much to see there. Opt for the free DIY chocolate making instead at Nina's Chocolate Shop downstairs instead. The chocolates sold were very expensive but is a pretty little shop and the kids love the place. Breakfast was simple without much choices and the restaurant do not provide much service. Overall there's many improvements to be made. If you would like to stay there, then opt for the Constantinople wing, there's suppose to be air-conditioning in that building. Don't be fooled by the webpage. The rooms looked nothing like it.…
I stayed at this hotel some years back and loved it. On this repeat visit I am hugely disappointed. It is more expensive now (though it is a different room category), but overall it is much more expensive but I feel shortchanged. I stayed at the Fei Leng Cui room for 2 nights at an average cost of S $290 per night. On my first stay we got really good quality toiletries including body lotions and a range of other stuff. Now, we get those tiny packets of bath gel and shampoo, there isn't even a shower cap! The room looks pretty run down, from the flooring, bath tub, and worst of all, a very dirty window blind in the bathroom. The bed is comfortable but the pillow is really bad, so much so that I slept without a pillow. I wish they had given 2 pillows per person as before, but come to think of it, does it matter when it is so uncomfortable? There was some sponge or foam like thing sticking out from beneath the bed and it just looks so sloppy! On the second day, as if as an after thought, they provided an electric blanket, as if they have forgotten on the first night. I stayed at 5 hotels on this trip and paid the most for this, yet .. I do not think I will ever be back. The hotel simply makes me feel unwelcome and it has lost the nice little touches it once had.…
The European/Bavarian theme of this touristy locale seems cute and quaint in concept. Most of the places to stay overnight in Cingjing are smaller Bed and Breakfast types, and this place is no exception. The lobby had cute Italian/European themed decor with Viennese masquerade masks and some antique/collectible types. There was a small pastry/coffee place that wasn't open any of the times were walked by and seemed more for decoration. If you look a bit closer at the building construction, the attention to detail and craftsmanship was lacking. Rooms were average in size and had poor noise insulation. We had a room next to the staircase and could hear whole conversations of people walking up and down them at all hours. Bathrooms were huge, including a tub and shower although the tub was not very comfortable and there was mold and mildew on the pull down shade. HIgher floors had better views, especially of the sunset. We stayed in the winter and the rooms get cool at night without any heat although the down comforters were warm enough. I liked the chocolate samples they left in our rooms. For a bed and breakfast, service was not particularly attentive or personal. Dinner was quite expensive and just average. There was a required minimum per person and food selections had to be made in advance. Wine options were very limited, although we had a nice bottle (a 2004 Rioja) for only 900 NT. The breakfast buffet was also average. There is a cute chocolate store called Nina's downstairs with pricey but decent handcrafted chocolates. Apparently this whole place gets very busy and popular during the summer months and Chinese New Years Holiday, and I can imagine housing options can get limited. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 days/1 night stay in this area.…
We booked the Rococo Classical Penthouse (actually a loft unit) 洛可可古典樓中樓套房 in 佛羅倫斯君士坦丁堡 and our stay there was one of the highlights of our trip. it's super huge both living area plus loft (another double bed) and a huge toilet with bath. It's comes with coffee maker machine (limited supply of high grade coffee bean) and high quality AV system comes with classical music CD. It offers a beautiful view from the balcony, just so lovely. and the classical interior design, it's simply gorgeous! They have a lovely retreiver "Da Xiong" who is very zealous in meeting you. The hotel itself has a indoor heated spa pool and suana, free for guest but limited opening hrs. say 6pm-9pm. And yes, free shuttle to & fro to market area.possible to walk out to 7-11 when the service stop at 6pm, bring torchlight. a walk around the surrounding area of the hotel in the morning & evening is relax , fresh air, clean country side feel. Infact, I wish to return to cingjin booking the same room again!…
Went there with a bunch of friends for summer vacation..Stay there for 1 night with 7 persons in a room. The hotel, from lobby , to cafeteria, to room is incredibly perfect, designed with Milan or Vienna style.. The room is very spacious , with three balcony so that we can see different angle of the view on Cingjing, the most important is, we can see the sunrise and sunset from the balcony. The desserts served in this hotel is awesome. I personally love the cheesecake and the fruit tea the most. The buffet breakfast has lots of variety . In short, staying in this hotel is like went in to a fairy tale, which give a different feeling from those hotels in Taiwan.
