The wooden houses look nice but the interior are all worn out. The sink looked like it has been used for years. Skylight is a plus but never been cleaned. I would not stay here unless you are travelling alone or are couples with budget constraints. Breakfast is average but no service provided. You would have to clean up your plates and cutleries after you finish your meals. (More like hostel to me)
The room i booked is big come with bathtub. Just note that it might be kinda warm during the day. But cooling at night. Not sure how the aircon even operate, everything is in Chinese. There’s only 1 way in and out of the villa. For cars both directions.
Tiny self sufficient room At the entrance is bench, little space for bag/luggages, and a shelf with kettle, tea bags and two glasses. The light switch and like three electricity sockets are on the floor Middle of the room is occupied by the bed. It's tiny. I am five feet two inches and yet I needed to pull up the pillow to the wall in order to make enough room for my legs At the other end is the toilet, shelf that holds towels and toiletries like tooth brush and tooth paste. That's also the shower room - shower head and basin at the other end. The mirrow is on the window at the side instead of right above the basin. It's cute, except a bit inconvenient - every time I needed to boil water or throw rubbish I need to walk across the bed. At night, I walked out and the starry sky was right above me. The place is convenient. 5 min's walk and you will find a plaza with Starbucks and 7-Eleven, and the main bus stop to bring you to HeHuanShan…
We stayed here as a party of 12 (3 families). The duplex rooms that we were given were nicely designed and appointed. They were well designed and comfortably furnished. Each bed had electric blankets which were a nice touch at night when it was cold!. The staff were friendly and very good with recommendations on places to eat and activities. Well worth a visit.
Pros: The room was clean and well equipped. Cons: It is located about 500m from the main road. It is also located on a slope, which means it could be a challenge if you have big/heavy luggages, strollers or young kids/old folks. There are a lot of steps and there are no lifts even when u reach the premise. You either need to carry all your luggages up a long flight of stairs or push it up the slope to get to the reception. Apparently the hotel has two wings that is not co-located, which we were not aware of when we booked. The hotel also did not have the common sense to book us into a room at the main building but put us up at the other building (aka tree house), which involved carrying all the luggages up a flight of stone steps along a slope. When you reach the tree house, there is another flight of stairs. The staff barely lifted a finger to help in the process and appeared unwilling to assist with the luggages during check-out. The small bathroom is poorly designed, with no separated shower area. The shower head was located beside the door for reasons unknown to me. The floor was slippery when wet, as no anti slip material was provided or installed in the bathroom, and my son slipped while I was showering him. The soundproofing in the tree house is also non-existent. There is also no air-conditioning in the room so I am not sure if it will be hot during the warmer months.…
I stayed in 2 different rooms, because I made bookings at very last minute due to their availability. The rooms looked old. The room with hot bath (sauna) and jacuzzi was great. The view was from the big toilet (haha!). Theres water dispenser in the room, but cannot be used. The other room I stayed in was great too, it has balcony. The view was stunning from bed. I had dinner at the balcony and I can see many many many stars in the sky! But....!! The toilet was disappointing. It was smelly and not clean. Toilet door was very near the bed. You have to carry your own luggage. They do charge for shuttle to the sheep farm. Theres Starbucks, 7-11, Mos Burger & Koi bubble tea near the Villa.
This place isn't going to pass muster with the majority of its western guests and few of its domestic ones either. Having said that - It's probably a decent option if you are visiting Cinging Farm and the farm guesthouse is full. The location is very good, just up the hill and behind the CF guest house proper. One advantage is that it has is that some rooms are quite spacious duplexes. If you are basing yourself here for a few days for hiking and exploration one of these defacto houses might suit you. It's run on quasi military schedules and quite inflexible about extra charges for even basic things. The breakfast is barely passable but will get you through to snack time and there are convenience stores a stone's throw away. Popular with tour groups coming through and it has that feel to it. If you need space and flexibility this might be a choice, but keep expectations low.…
Other than the picturesque view from our room, the rest were disappointing. Firstly, the hotel did not provide basic necessity like hand soap. When we called the reception, we were told that bar hand soap is not provided. If we want, we have to walk to the reception counter to get it ourselves. Secondly, the furniture were quite old with lots of scratch marks. Thirdly, the room phone didn't work. Forthly, the hotel charge a fee for carrying luggage to the rooms which are mostly on higher slope and over rough pathway. Lastly and the most disappointing is the window on the roof of the upper storey of our room. There was no blind to the window. As the sun rises early in the morning around 5a.m., we had to cover our faces to avoid the glare.
We recently stayed at Ailiga energy Villa in Dec 2017. The establishment is like a B&B so do not expect hotel service and bells and whistles because you are not going to get it. This is the way mingsu in TW operates. breakfast is very average with rice congee and condiments. The room however is spacious but the toilet is rather old. And when you turn the tap on the pipe shudders. there is no central heating which is disappointing especially for people not used to the cold. the do however provide heat blankets which can be quite hot in the middle of the night. so for those not use to using one - set it to 1 or 2 is good enough to keep you warm the whole night. The hot water dispenser was not working while we were there. overall the room could do with better and more cleaning. this place feels like a family run business. you even need to clear away your own utensils after breakfast. The plus points - they have a fantastic view looking at the mountain and while we were there, there were plenty of clouds. The clouds were slowing coming over the mountain and got a nice view of sunrise. About 5-7 minutes walk to the main road there is a 7-11 and some stores.…
We stayed at the 4 bedder quad room which has 2 levels and the kids loved it. But do note that these quad rooms are probably at the lowest level and the view is blocked by trees right in front of it. Thus if you want a good view, i would suggest you asked for other types of rooms with better view Agree with other reviews that it is not the cleanest place but given its great location, very helpful receptionist.. i would ranked it 3+ to 4.
