This small hotel is operated by a lovely, helpful family who have a wonderful black lab who will become your inmediate best friend! They prepared a wonderful breakfast each day, always different and always interesting. No eggs and hot dogs here! The nearby town has some good restaurants and we found fun excursions. The wonderful huge soaking tubs fed by thermal springs are SO relaxing. Have a soak and look out at the vegetation. The area was hit by a flood some years back, after which many hotels closed, so there is a bit of eeriness and emptiness to the town. This was a really fun and interesting part of our Taiwan trip.

Comfortable stay at this minsu except that the aircon was not working as water will leak when the aircon is on and the weather rather hot that day so my dad couldn't sleep well. The hot spring area is exactly like the picture show in tripadvisor. Room quite big and provided 2 bottles of mineral water for each person as there is no 7-11 within walking distance.. Environment really good for relaxation as the hot spring bathroom faces the mountains. Breakfast is an omelette wrapped with cabbage and a cup of coffee. There is absolutely nothing at lushan area except hot spring hotels and minsu so before u reached, drop by 7-11 to get what ever snacks u can. Dinner hav to walk 10min out on a very deserted road to the lushan bridge and there u will find a few stalls that sell Zi char style food, not much selection.. Overall good experience with the minsu just that the area is really quite deserted so u jus stay in your room to enjoy the hot spring..

went to this awesome hotel after driving to alishan and chingjing farm. as we are both really tired and it was around 5pm when we got there, we preferred not to leave the room again for dinner. we stayed in the 'Star Villa" and the room is extraordinarily spacious with relaxing interior design. the owner assisted us to order dinner delivery from a restaurant nearby. lots of windows in the bathroom / onsen area so there is sufficient light in the room. the onsen area looks clean and tidy enough for us to enjoy hotspring a few times throughout our whole stay.

This is a small 6 storey hotel with 1 to 3 rooms on each floor. We were in the 6th floor room. This is very nice. Not too pricey all things considered. See pictures of the nice room with a view of the sky at night too - there's a glass roof. On the downside, the building next to it is under construction/refit so that isn't a particularly great view. The in-room "tubs" are good (and clean!). Interesting in-room decor too with plants and trees right in it. No food in hotel. Short walk uphill and there's a good restaurant there. I like the 1st one just at the top of the flight of stairs.

I stayed only 1 night on 25th Feb 2014 with my family and booked a family room. The room is just same as the picture from their website. Clean and spacious. Bathroom is super big come with 2 hotspring tubs. One big and one small. I and family very enjoy the hotspring in our bedroom. The owner of the villa is super friendly. They treated us just like good friends. Breakfast prepared by the owner also very delicious. The only bad thing about this villa is they do not have heater in the room but they will supply blanket. So if you are going there on cold season remember to get yourself a blanket from them. Wifi is provided and speed is good :)

It is family owned B&B and we felt so welcomed. We enjoyed our stay so much - we took the super VIP room with a huge bath for hotspring and also the family room for our children - just as wonderful. The owners make you feel at home and they serve breakfast in your room - great yummy choice and quantity. We took the trail to visit the memorial of the Seediq chief and it is about 2 hours walk to the town from the back of the B&B. It was a wonderful walk that ends up with this restaurant selling organic chicken eggs cooked in hotspring water. I ate 4 eggs at one go - egss never tasted so yummy. My youngest child, aged 4.5 years old didn t like the smell of the sulfur - so she called it the "Egg Water Smell". Next time we will stay longer =)

We stayed here for one night. Basically we just come for the "hot spring" bathtub. We arrived at 7:00pm. Had our dinner and started bathing around 9:30pm. The room is okay in a Japanese & Taiwanese mixed design. Our room had a platform (Japanese style), and also a king sized bed (Western style). The hot spring is actually the bathtub, and basically you are bathing with hot spring water. So don't expect Japanese hot spring experience here. But if you are using Taiwanese standard, I suppose this B&B serves the purpose. btw, Lushan is so small that you won't want to style for too long. So our one night night trip to there is quite adequate.
