We stayed a couple of nights and the view was incredible. The Taiwanese lady receptionist/owner(?) and the 2 Indonesian staff were super friendly. The front of the hotel is a little hard to spot, but we managed after comparing google map images. Great restaurant just down the road (Chicken King) and a 7-11 which was convenient.
I stayed at your Minsu from 5-7/10/17 with my extended family of 9 others (with 5 elderly at 75 years n above). Both Carol Chen n Mr Jian were very polite, professional n importantly accommodating. Understanding the secluded terrain of his Minsu, which is a plus point for exclusive relaxation, Mr Jian undertook to drive the old folks around, picking them up from the rear carpark to dinner, to the green green glassland n vice versa. Such kind gestures really save us time n gave the family the much needed assurance that the old folks were well looked after. Overall, we like the "homily" feel, the warm, the care, n the nice cosy rooms. Not forgetting the personal touch of Carol during breakfast n the personal care of Mr Jian. Thank You Carol n Mr Jian (Will treasure the photo that my family took with you before our departure).…
We stayed in Dreamtown Hotel for 2 nights when we visited Cingjing in 2016. The staff was very friendly and patience in attending to our queries. Good: - Home-made Breakfast and Steamboat Dinner. - Starry view at the balcony area. - Nice Scenic view from the Hotel. - Friendly and cheerful Staff. - Room was clean and tidy. - Delicious food. Area of Improvement: - Not suitable for Elderly as there is a lot of stairways (i.e. travelling up and down from your rooms to the lobby). - No heater to warm the bed. May be extremely cold at night. The staff was super nice to give us a ride from our room to the lobby when we check-out, as we had two big luggages and my wife had trouble moving her luggage up the flight of stairs.
Overall stay was pleasant but service provided could be better. The owners was quiet, provided a standard service but nothing more. We arrived late around 6-7pm. Check-in was not a problem but finding the rooms was. We have to to go by another road which leds to the room to park our car. The road was dark, the signage on the road to the hotel was small and unclear. We ended up having to get the owner to led us to the room. We can't tell if he was upset to help with his emotionless expression. There was no food provided at the night and we have to purchase our dinner for the convenience store. Thankfully we drove as the night would be too cold to walk on the streets. Our room was the lowest so we did not get to wake up with a mountain view. There was no heater in the room. To keep warm, we wore our thickest shirt to sleep. We were almost freezing when we came out of our shower. No electric kettle was provided. Even though there is a hot water dispenser, it was quite a walk from our room. Not a good idea especially when the walk has no shelter and the night gets cold. Breakfast was very simple. We were initially told to have buffet breakfast but turns out to be a disappointment. However, the greatest thing that upsets us was the food being served cold! It was raining during our first morning, and we had to walked up to the breakfast area without shelter at around 12 degree celsius only having to be served a cold breakfast! Surely, the owner could have done better on this. I would probably try out other minsu if I return to Cingjing.…
Stayed as a family of 4 pax for 2 nights. Children( 3 and 7 years old) had Super fun in the 2 storey family room. Staff is very nice and helpful, and will Ensure you have a cozy stay. Breakfast simple but ok, served in a beautiful panoramic room. I can recommend the hot pot in the evening - a romantic and very good value for money experience. Also nice terrace for our room with great mountain view and we could use the garden- again the kids loved it. Down-sides: 1. No heating in room, which obviously is an issue in the colder periods of the year. 2. Must climb a lot of stairs- totally not suitable for old and unfit folks. Other than that, and if you are fit: a great place to stay, good value for money!
The staff is friendly and provide excellent service! They are patient to explain every of the guest's queries. I didn't do any research about their hotel prior coming here. Then realize their rooms are only accessible thru flight of stairs. As I'm traveling with my elderly mum and young daughter, they have helped me to carry the huge luggages to the room. The room is clean and neat. The bed is comfy! Definitely recommend others to stay here :)
Visited Cingjing at short notice and choose DreamTown Hotel based on some online reviews. First, the good. Staff were friendly and really provided a good welcome. Not at all intrusive and were happy to provide tips and discussion on what to do etc. They went out of their way to ensure guests stay was good. The room (double/family) was nice, although we did get a lower room, which had restricted views of the wonderful landscapes in Cingjing. Amenities were generally fine and expected for a Minsu. Now for the Bad. The main problem with hotel is the location, as it was a significant way from the main attractions in the area. It was a 25 minute walk down to the Cingjing Sheep farm and you basically needed to book a car to get down to the Swiss Garden and Carton King area. This is especially problematic as there are limited taxis in the area and they invariably are expensive. Breakfast was only so-so, the food provided as quite basic and even the toaster oven for toast was a little strange and took a long time to toast (Hotel should consider investing in a cheap pop-up toaster so guests don't have to wait 2-3 mins for toast and manually flip the toast). As this was in the Summer, there were also lots of flies, which made the food even less appetizing.…
This was a minsu which allowed us to experience the wonderful Taiwanese hospitality. The receptionist was very warm and even entertained us right to the minute we left for Taichung. The room we chose was rather spacious for us but due to the numerous flight of stairs we had to take to go down to our room, we decided to pack a duffel bag instead of carrying down our heavy luggages (take note, there are no elevators here!). The receptionist took care of our luggages for the night. Room was sufficiently clean (though i think the toilet can be cleaner) and we brought our own shampoo/soap as there was none provided. They did provide toothbrush sets though. We opted for the hotpot dinner at a small additional cost (should not be more than $15 per pax) and it was well worth it. It was very romantic having hotpot in the chilly night in a dim setting. The food was more than sufficient for the both of us (considering that we are huge eaters). For those who visit the Cingjing farm and swiss flower garden, do note that they do provide free transport back to the minsu once you are done visiting the areas. This was a plus point for us.…
