Chateau de Chine is always our first choice when we are in Taoyuan and have come back here for several years in a row. This year, 2020, we stayed twice with two weeks in mid-January to early February, and the second time for two days in March. We strongly recommend staying on upgraded rooms on the 6th to 8th floor. Much more comfortable and modern than the older standard rooms. We booked online between one to three months prior for each stay. We especially enjoyed our long stay in Room #710, which was a corner suite that had a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and spacious bathroom. We also got to enjoy each day the elegantly designed lounge for guests of the floor. This was the best stay of our numerous visits to Chateau de Chine, Taoyuan. The second short stay with room 802 was much smaller but still very nice. Housekeeping was good overall. Both times we found the Housekeeping team was very hospitable and warm compared to front counter persons who are more reserved but professional. The breakfast service was always outstanding with friendly greeter who welcomes you as you get out of elevator. The 6th floor and 8th floor have their own lounge and laundry room. The 6th floor also has a gym. We really appreciated the modern design of these floors. For our stays, the manager allowed us extended check out times of 4 pm and 2 pm and we were thankful of that. I also miss their extensive breakfast buffet where they provided crabs, fish, pork belly and some cute and pretty desserts during breakfast hour in the Lunar New Year week. During breakfast, they provide a selection that includes Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Western food varieties. We happened to encounter the beginning of the Coronavirus situation during the end of January where they measured temperature on entry, closed the side entrances, and cancelled the happy hour refreshments. The location is walking distance to train station, FamilyMart, 7-11, pharmacy, bakery stores, department stores, Starbucks, many eating places, and even the Night Market. The taxi ride from airport to here is less than half an hour. Highly recommend this hotel with its good service, renovated rooms, good breakfast, and reasonable price. A satisfying stay as usual.…
Alot of shops, shopping malls, street fruit shop, hawkers n shop food nearby hotel snd near train station. Hotel look grand inside. Reception were ok, given 9th fl n room size is big and from the 9th floor, it have seperated difference flooring right up toward the roof top building, the roof top. Breaskfast catered were mainly local, typical Taiwanese porridge, standard western bread breakfast and some selectable Japanese cold disk n hot soup. Veg salad, baked sweet potato n korea baked fish. Overall. Nice 4☆ hotel.
Stayed here couple of times, in good location in the heart of Taoyuan, rooms nice, limited restaurant menu in the evening but not an issue as the hotel is surrounded by lots of places to eat. We use this hotel for staff when visiting our offices in Taiwan.
Stayed here the second time for business but at this time the room has a strong smell. Bed is too hard like in most of typical Chinese hotels. Room was clean and breakfast was also good. Service was also good but in general it needs renovation or at least you should be able to open the window and adjust the ac which was both not possible. A plus was also the international tv programs.
Yo, this spot so lit. I didn't even stay here, just came to visit a good friend and saw this place. Amazing, simply amazing. There's even a phone with apps and internet so people can go around Taoyuan and actually anywhere in Taiwan with it and just use it to navigate and see the sites. 5 stars all the way.
