Room smelly. No window. Basement room. Front Office can't find our booking. However room size is acceptable. Lobby area has some junk food and coffee. Coffee taste so so. A lot of mosquitoes at lobby and corridors area. Discomfort stay.

the receptionist kept on insisting that i should pay pronto for the 3 days that i would be spending in this basement hotel. i was showing her the evidence - my credit card billing statement already reflected the payment that was charged to my account. she was adamant not to give me my room key and in exasperation, i gave in. but when the other staff showed that they already received the payment on the day it was charged, beads of sweat started to form on the receptionist’s scalp area. it was cold in the lobby but she was sweating while being very apologetic. the breakfast on the 2nd day was egg mcmuffin to my delight. a semblance of home which i always miss whenever i leave on official business. it was to my advantage that they weren’t able to cook breakfast for their guests. my room has a loft that could bot be reached because there was no ladder. it would have been quaint and elegant if a table and extra bed has been set up there. the staff has been very helpful. their cellphone has been very handy in communicating with their visitors by talking in taiwanese directly to the phone and google will translate it for the guests. very efficient. the location is terrific. the taipei tower is only one MRT station away but u can opt to walk and reach it in 15mins tops. place x hotel is a cozy place and an affordable one. i can return to that place of given another chance. …

If you are on the budget and don't mind, hotel without the windows ( it is in the basement), but very close to transport and short walking distance to 101. It is place for you, but if you have any mobility issues and claustrophobic just give a miss to this place, it is fairly deep in the basement and stairs are steep, we were not able to find any lift as my wife have knee problem,it was not easy to get her down ( no assistance with luggage from the hotel).. Please install Google translate as English communication is very minimal.

The rooms look NOTHING like they do in the photos online and They are also full of bugs and mosquitoes. I am allergic to mosquitoes bites and I tried to get a refund and they said no. This place sucks

This is my first time experience. I have booked this hotel tru hotels.com, after booked and paid, the next day hotel msg me said room not open to book yet, if want need to add extra money. I cant get solution even comlaint to hotels.com. Finally I decide to cancel the rooms just in case when im reach there cant get the rooms. So, why we should pay early for secure our room rate and room? Really bad hotel!

Cozy, just a 5 minute walk to/from the station. It’s a quiet area also. It’s close to a ubike station. Private bathrooms/toilets. Staff is very helpful and they speak English. Not sure if it’s wheelchair accessible though (initial entrance).. but the inside is built with the wheelchair accessibility. Free WiFi and free breakfast. You order your breakfast the night before. They have the Chinese breakfast, English/American and vegetarian. Quite nice for the price too!
