Excellent Hotel , perfect area 5 min walk to 101, outstanding service, very big room with everything you need including kitchen. Most beautiful is the design - every item seems to be collected with a lot of care and attention and together it creates wonderful eclectic design. Very tasty breakfast with excellent coffee, and every day you have a happy hour with lots of alcohol for free

Just came back after staying two nights at the hotel for 2 nights with my elderly parents. They stayed in a suite and I stayed in a premier room. Both rooms are super spacious and luxe!!! Hotel staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast is not buffet style but they gave you a choice among western (with a few choices for main), chinese and japanese. You can also help yourself with unlimited coffee by using the professional nespresso machines there, which is quite fun. There's a happy hour at hotel serving free drinks but I didn't get the chance to try it during my stay. The hotel is centrally located and within 5 to 15 minutes' walk to 101 building, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, Eslite xinyi store (with one floor of books and groceries which is 24 hours open) as well as Songshan Cultural & Creative Park. Very convenient. We had a really happy and memorable stay at the hotel. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at Hanns House for almost a week for our business trip in December 2022. The hotel is located in the financial district of Taipei, within walking distance to Taipei 101. In fact, our room has a full view of Taipei 101 as well as the bright Christmas tree-lined walkway between the Eslite Xinyi Store and the Taipei City Bus Station. The view from our room is gorgeous both during the day and especially at night. Compared to the numerous nearby large and busy 5-star hotels, Hanns House feels more like a home that we can return to and unwind after a full day of business meetings. Although Hanns House is located in the midst of the best shopping and dining that Taipei has to offer, it's strategeic location in a quiet zone, the large-sized rooms (we have a suite that comes with a living room and a kitchenette), and the perfect room soundproofing allows for those relaxing moments to just enjoy the macarons and coffee that welcomed us upon arrival while watching the joyous hustles and bustles down below from our windows. The best part of Hanns House is gotta be the staff who went out of their way to warmly greet and take care of us like dear family members. I wish I’d written down the names of everyone as they are all so very kind, but some examples include Daphne and the other lady who checked us in who patiently showed us nearby restaurants of the foods that we wanted to eat, greeted us everyday, gave me a face mask when I forgot my mask in a hurry to go out, ran out the door to give us umbrellas because we again rushed out forgetting to bring ours, and many more. My husband ate his breakfast at the restaurnat daily (I was jet-lagged). The staff there learned about his habit such as giving him a second hot black coffee without him having to ask, packed my breakfast for him to bring to the room for me, and even told my husband to care for his health and not work too hard (he'd bring his computer with him to breakfast and would often conduct his meetings in the conference room across the lobby). My husband was deeply touched! On our last day, I was waiting for a friend outside the hotel in the drizzle. The doorman Mr. Chen held his umbrella over my head because he didn't want me to get wet for an entire half hour! We travel worldwide staying at high-end resorts and Hanns House is easily one of the top in terms of service and comfort. This will be our go to place from now on when we travel to Taiwan. Oh, did I mention that our room and the entire hotel is spotlessly clean and our bed was sooo comfy?

We stayed at this hotel for our quarantine stay (3+4). This hotel was the highest priced quarantine hotel in Taipei. As Taiwan is moving away from quarantine, it is unclear whether this hotel will remain a quarantine hotel. Provided meals: Three meals were provided. I believe they rotated it somewhat. I would give them 4 stars overall. They were of mid-to-high end quality, but certainly not Michelin star or 5-star hotel restaurant's quality. That is, I had much better at The Regent or The Sheraton Taipei. That said, there was a microwave in the room for one to heat up the meals to a warmer setting as the meals were prepared in bulk at the lobby. They were lukewarm when the meals arrived in our room. It appeared some meals were prepared by the hotel restaurant and others were from outside sources. The meals were Taiwanese, Korean, and Japanese focused. If one wants Western foods, then Food Panda or Uber Eats will be what you want. There are expensive local restaurants at Xinyi Districts that you can pay for to get your own food. Check with the hotel on delivery times, I believe that they won't refund the costs of the meals if one chooses not to eat the prepaid meals. Prior to booking the quarantine hotel, they will send one a form to ask for some preferences and/or allergies. There was a toaster and hot water boiler in the room. The drip coffee and tea packets were super flavorful and refilled (via Line or other means of contact) during our stay. In fact, most contacts were done remotely during the quarantine period. Room: This is what one is paying for in this place if one is stuck here for 8 days (landing day is Day 0). The bed and beddings were super comfortable. The bed was a full king, My room was in the smaller side, but sufficient for two people and eight pieces of luggage. The room was super clean. We know, because we tried wiping some areas and found them to be stainless. We also noticed, via the peephole, that housekeeping took over two hours to deep clean our neighbor's room - including the use of what appeared to be an ultraviolet wand to clean some service areas. There was a clothes-wire in the bathroom if one needed to do handwash laundry during the quarantine stay. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide any detergent, but we used the provide soap, The bathroom was large with rain showerhead available. The toilet was a bit too high up off the floor for us as we are around 5 ft 8 inches but flushed well. If one's room faced south or east, one would get a good view of Taipei 101. The south side would get a full view, and east side (our room) got the view from the couch in the "living room" area. The TV was pretty large and we could watch it from our bed comfortably. The only complaint, if any, was that it didn't have as many international channels for this high-end hotel. I wanted Bloomberg, but nothing was offered. Not even CNBC. The WiFi was very fast. The location was convenient. It was near the City Hall MRT (took about 5-7 mins to get to the MRT station) and near several malls and portions of The Breeze shopping area. Since we were in quarantine, we didn't enter into any of these malls. There were banks, 7-11s and Family Marts nearby. The walking distance to the MRT felt a bit shorter than from the Grand Hyatt to the Taipei 101 MRT station. The cost: Normally, I believed this hotel costed around $500+ a night. Being a quarantine hotel, the cost was a little over half of that when we booked. It is a smaller hotel with all the benefit of being a smaller hotel (less people at elevator or crowds in the lobby). It is also very new, being opened during the pandemic. How will their staff handle the full re-opening with actual tourists vs. business/returnees like us, time will tell. However, I can see the enthusiasm in the staff to do better. I am sure that they will handle the challenge well. Was there any hiccups during our stay? There were, but nothing to mention. We have stayed in many higher end hotels in Japan and Taiwan (Intercontinental, The Regent, Grand Hyatt, Shangri-la etc.). This hotel ranked up there with them.

The room is ok but the service is not qualified. Meals are not good as well. If you expect a 5-star quality quarantine please do not choose this hotel. This is my worst experience ever.

Taiwan’s 0 covid strategy has inspired some hotels to gouge and overcharge travellers. A 15 day stay here costs TWD170,000 (or USD6,000) for a small suite. In more expensive singapore, it’s USD3,000 for a nicer larger suite in a nicer hotel. In the US or europe, there’s no quarantine The cost is more galling given you cannot use any facilities and the food is average

I have to say this Hotel is really beyond my expectation. Business manager Judy was so enthusiastic and accommodating during the reservation period which help me to make easy decision and looking forward to this special stay. She choose the best large window room with fantastic unblocking view of 101. The lay out of the room is very spacious and also comfortably designed. Because of quarantine requirement we are not allow to leave room in 15 days, they have to provide all meals. I have to say the meals are so delicious and the variety is amazing. One thing also so impressive is the hotel staff altitude. They treat us so heart warming like their family. We have traveled all over the world but have to recommend this hotel to everyone, this is the best choice you can have. Thank you, Hanns House for offer us such a great stay and beautiful memory.

Adding to a prior review, I fully agree the staff at Hanns House is doing a fantastic job at managing what would be a tough 14 day quarantine. The protocol upon arrival is efficient (drop off in the parking garage, to take dedicated elevator to the quarantine floor) and from there it remains very efficient in avoiding potential contacts (food is delivered to the door and after staff has retreated notification is sent by phone). With 600 cases on a population of 24 million, Taiwanese are rightly avoiding contact with persons coming in from the rest of the world. What makes the stay good is the quality of the room and amenities and the effort the staff puts in. The food is very good and with great variety and some nice extra quirks. Today is Thanksgiving and the full turkey & ham was provided, as well as a festive margarita and nachos. Any request is immediately catered for and also here protocols are in place (when I needed a pair of scissors, I was friendly requested to put them up for retrieval after use as to avoid having a sharp object during quarantine for possible self-harm). Importantly, internet is good so am able to put the 14 days to very good use in getting work done. All in all, would love to visit this hotel in a non-quarantine setting as well. Big thanks to the staff!

I don't normally post reviews, only in exceptional cases. Due to Covid-19 I have just completed my 2 week quarantine at the Hanns House. I was not looking forward to the experience, however I have it was not anywhere near as bad as what I expected. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and I have to say that the room I stayed in at the Hanns is one of the most comfortable. The room itself was modern, immaculately clean and had all amenities such as microwave, full size fridge/freezer and induction hob, the room was also well sound proofed, even traffic from outside was difficult to hear. The bathroom was large with a big shower cubicle and strong water pressure. The bed was a large double and very comfortable along with the large soft pillows, I slept very well every night, i could litterally hear a pin drop in the room, even the A/C was deadly quiet. The staff were very polite and friendly, the people at reception had an excellent command of English which made it much easier for the likes of myself. Staff regularly called to ask if everything was ok and if I needed anything and they would even go out of their way to arrange deliveries such as pizza from outside. I would like to thank the hotel and staff for making my stay at the hotel as bearable and enjoyable as possible and I commend their efforts to accommodate people arriving in Taipei from other countries during these difficult times. Well done Hanns House.
