The newly renovated room look more spacious. The old room used to be stuffy and you need to turn on aircon while you are away. The toiletry provided is quite nice as well. Only downside is that it is on 12 floor which is 1 floor above the lobby. No view and feel almost like ground floor.
As for location, well situated next to 101 and TWTC. Around 10min walk. Many food option nearby. A small night market about 10min walk.
Hotel breakfast is nothing fantastic but it is fair for business trip where I do not want to stuff myself with a lot of food.
Overall... good job for the new room design.

We stayed a total of 5 nights, 2 rooms. First, location of hotel is not very good, if you want to take the trains frequently. The nearest stations are Xinyi Anhe or World Trade Center, both of which are about 7 - 9 mins away, depending on how fast you walk. The hotel is located in a 'weird' location, not visible within the main road. Lobby is at 11th floor, with rooms from 12 upwards. There is no proper place for cars to pick up or drop passengers for guests of this hotel. It has a small gym, but a complete set of dumbbells. Beside the gym are some washing machines and separate dryers, which are free to use.
I have no issues with the rooms, as they are relatively big and spacious. In fact, the interior is much better than the exterior of the building itself (which was old).
Be aware though, the wifi is VERY slow for both floors which we stayed, at levels 17 and 18. Front desk reluctantly helped me made a reservation, and was initially hesistant to call a non-taiwan mobile line to update me of the reservation after it was made.
The lift has no sensor, so it will hit you and bounce back if there is obstruction. There are 2 lifts, and both operate independently. (not too intelligent)
The street behind the hotel is Wuxing Jie, and it is very hard to cross.
The good thing is, there are both 7-11 and Family Mart, both within 3 mins of the hotel, and nearby streets have lots of cafe and shops, including Louisa coffee.

positive: the large room with a terrace. (Too bad we didn't have a view of Taipei 101.). The breakfast was super, the best found throughout the trip: with the waiters clearing the table (rare in this country) and the chef making the eggs on the spot and the Italian bread (Western desserts are missing). Nice location to see Taipei 101 within walking distance

I was attending a meeting at the TWTC and the options were the Hyatt, at about 300+ USD/night and this, at 99, so I picked this, and it was a very good choice. I'm giving it 5 stars, because for that price it's a great value, but it does have a few shortcomings.
It's a bit hard to find. It doesn't have a proper hotel entrance or loading area. The taxi dropped me off at the street and the driver pointed into the courtyard of a building. The entrance is for the "Pacific Business Center" and the hotel lobby is on the 11th floor, with the rooms above that. Since there's no proper entrance, no carts, and no bell hops, it would be a hassle for someone with a lot of luggage.
The room was extremely clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. I opted to spend the 11 USD for breakfast which was a pretty nice buffet, although there are definitely better options in the area if you have more time to look around.
I was there on a short visit for a full meeting schedule, so this was perfect for me, but for example it might not be the best place to stay with a family or if you're there with more time to kill. There's no pool, bar, or restaurant except for breakfast.

Excellent housekeeping and lovely breakfast, the restaurant team is very friendly and professional. However, the lighting of the room is not makeup friendly and the bathroom has no makeup mirror. Moreover, the receptionist who assisted with our luggage on Nov 3 upon checkout was very unpleasant and rude, she was however very polite and even bowed at some guests who spoke English ( we spoke in Mandarin by the way). But we will definitely stay here again for its strategic location and great ambiance.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Nice and spacious family room with a balcony with views of the Taipei 101. Excellent WIFI and also very good breakfast. The hotel is just a 5-10 min walk to a the metro system and to many malls. I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning to visit Taipei.

Pacific Business Hotel is suitable for all kinds of travelers due to it is located in the central of Taipei City. There are metro station, night market and shopping malls in the neighborhood, it's very convenient for both business and tourism purpose.
