Owners are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Location is excellent. Take note there are 2 exits and entrance for this accommodation. There is a 7-11 nearby. Very convenient. Overall a pleasant stay.
The hosts are friendly and helpful, which gives me useful information to travel around the lake. e.g. ways to save money, the spots I should visit, tips for renting bikes etc. The room is cozy, clean and tidy. And one thing that surprised me is the room and outdoor area is decorated with totoro(a Japanese anime). Car park is just one minute walk from another entrance. Last thing I should mentioned is to say thank you to hostess for finding my lost cellphone. :)
Timing House is the best place to stay with your best neighbor Totoro. The room is so cozy and staff are so nice. You also can get the special offer to cruise the boat with just only 100NTD/person (Outside 300NTD). The place suitable for travelling with group of friends and family :)
the employees are very welcoming, everything is super clean, I dont know for all the other room but our bed was so comfortable, Even in a 5stars i never sleeping well like that. The decoration is industrial is pretty nice and it have a beautiful back courtyard with fish and at night it possible to hear the small cute frog (not big ugly one).
We booked two rooms here and both were very noisy. The service was great and the location was also great no complaints there. It does say on trip advisor that breakfast is included but it was not. The lady was very helpful and gave us lots of coupons, discounts on the room and boat tickets and was very friendly. Our rooms were on the second floor. There are three rooms on the second floor. The rooms that are in the hallway have partially frosted glass walls that face the hallway so if someone leave a light on your room is no longer dark and we had that issue a lot and had to keep getting out of bed to turn the communal lights off. As well, the walls are paper thin and it’s beyond noisy. On the first night my husband and I were astounded by the noise. The second day we checked the room at the end of the hall (the door was open) as we were curious if it was a mixed dorm due to all the noise. It was not - just a normal room. The second night two girls checked into the room and we realized it’s not the guests making noise at all just the walls being very thin. We had troubles sleeping both nights. Also the room was a bit strange as the bathroom is closed off by partially frosted glass “walls”. It was fine but a little strange as you can see the other person using the toilet. I would not recommend if you want to get a good sleep. There are plenty of other options in the area. …
Got a room with no windows, however, there are common areas to let you look out. The rooms and the common areas were very themely decorated. The B&B is located behind a towel shop. If I am not wrong, the B&B spans 4 levels with 2 common dinning areas. There is one convenience store at the basement outside the main entrance and also opposite the towel shop. We paid extra for breakfast as we want to save the need to go outside for food for our child. The breakfast served were home made porridge with condiments. We stayed there for 2 nights. They made extra for my toddler on the second day even though we did not asked for it. The Ensuite washroom comes with a rain shower. We love the friendly service there and chit chat with the owners.
We arrived before the check in time at about 10am, and the hosts were already there, as if expecting us. As it is not check in time, they suggested to take a boat ride and ferry out, showed us maps and directions. Very warm and friendly hosts. When we came back, we were ushered to our rooms, it was beautifully decorated, feels like home! we had a wonderful breakfast prepared for us the next morning, cutlery and dishes were nicely placed, very thoughtful of them. Would highly recommend this place, even location is very near to the bus drop-off point.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, the rooms were spotless and well decorated. The owners gave us good tips on where to visit around sun moon lake, how to get around and even recommended some must-tries for each of the locations. Couldn't recommend it more.
Timing House @ Sun Moon Lake! One of my favourite minsu! The rooms are really nice and we have booked the whole level... For those are going with big groups and family I will recommend them to book this and whole level as no one will disturb you and each group has their own privacy as well. Those who love totoro will love to stay here! My nephew and niece have a lot fun staying there. The owners are really very friendly and we stayed that time was fireflies season and they arranged free fireflies tour for us during the stay! Will go back if I visiting sun moon lake again and my friends who saw my photos have start asking about the place too!
If you dont wanna stay in a big hotel the timing house should be your home for some days. It is a small but a super nice and lovely hotel and the staff is very friendly. Location is in the middle of the city and there are bikestations and 7eleven just around the corner.
