Convenient: this hotel is located about a 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. Comfy: it felt a little mom and poppy--wasn't a huge place Well priced: this place wasn't the cheapest, but was also far from the most expensive. I was looking for the cheapest 'nice' place, and this hotel definitely fit the bill. I will recommend this hotel to my friends/family as well as stay there again when I return to Sun Moon Lake.

Love Home Lake is located in the central of Sun Moon Lake Area, opposite to Shuishe Pier where we can have boat trip. The bus station is a few minute walk. Our three rooms are spacy with lake view. There is also a big sofa in the room that we can sit and enjoy watching TV.

Entrance/Reception is located next to a tea shop. Hotel is very near to the pier. There are shops and eateries nearby. Disposable toiletries provided (note: paper towels). Small dressing table, coffee table and TV. The room I stayed in did not have a separate area for bath. Thus the entire toilet floor became wet after bath. It also has no view of the lake. Air-con is slightly noisy, though cool enough for a summer day. Good for a night stay

The hotel is easy to miss because there's no reception counter but just a table under the stairs and you have to call the intercom to get someone to check you in But for the price I paid, the room is pretty decent. Instead of a dorm it is actually a double room. A room with 2 queen beds and a private toilet. Location is superb though just right at the shuishe pier

This is probably the best located hotel at Sun Moon Lake at this price. The rooms and attached bathroom are basic and clean.. There is little English spoken and you have to contact the staff by phone or intercom so that they can come and give you your key. The room was cleaned and the bed was made during the day. Many restaurants, 7 Eleven, Starbucks and a laundry are nearby. The pier is a stones throw away and if you are arriving by bus it is a ten minute downhill walk. WiFi is available. It can be a little difficult to find. It is opposite Moon Cafe that sells Lavazza coffee. Look out for the Lavazza sign. I enforced my stay here because it was my base and I was out and about all day.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel and we had a good experience. Room and bed was huge, place well maintained. Location is great, with food all around. The pier is just opposite and the visitor information centre is less than 5 mins walk away. The only down side is the TV is way too small, hence viewing can be quite a problem. Unique arrangement with no reception desk and just a intercom, so you will not feel like you are in a hotel, but more like at home. Will definitely stay back here again, provided the TV is upgraded. =)

Nothing fancy about this Inn. Consider the price you paid for staying at such a prime location, it is worth it. They do provide disposable paper towel (sort of like a big piece of kitchen paper) and have a room for 5-6 people.

We were placed in room 602 and unfortunately it turned out to be full of tiny ants and there were stains on the bed sheet covers. The service didn't speak English and wasn't able to help us with the problem in any reasonable way so we had to move places (Taiwan Beauty Hotel which was just 10% more expensive and so much better!) All in all I cannot recommend this place unfortunately unless you don't mind ants and poor conditions.

As stated by previous TAs, there is no reception but a desk under the stairs. There is an intercom that you can call to them from the door or your room phone, other than that you won't see anyone at all. If you do call them, they will respond. The room we had was a quad for the two of us and was very spacious. We felt very comfortable here. This inn is steps from the pier where the ferries to all areas dock. There is a lift in the hotel. To get to the hotel from Shuishe Centre, walk downhill and turn right just before Starbucks and it is on the right hand side (after passing the pier). The young guy that checked us in, gave us some info on what to do and that was really useful. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't stay there as you will not have any assistance on where and how to go about SML. We did have to find our own way around for food, etc. I am sure they would assist if asked but as they are not there all the timeit's a phone talk, no face to face. I like to interact with the locals and this hotel gives you no opportunity. Stay there if you do your homework on SML and you love your privacy, otherwise go where you can get more info and assistance.

The hotel is conveniently located at the Shui She Pier and you can get a very good view of the Sun Moon Lake from the lake view room which I stayed in. Although there is no reception present at the site, the staff came quickly once the intercom was rang. The staff was friendly and gave suggestions to places to visit in the area. The room was large and facilities in the room were basic. Toiletries and towels are in disposable form so it will be better to bring your own towels. Vouchers to Mos burger or 85 degree cafes are provided for breakfast. Overall it's good for an overnight stay at sun moon lake before heading off to the city.
