Just an awesome hotel in a great location. I stayed in room 803 with is a larger room than most. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a metro station about a 5 min walk away and several stores including 7-11 and Carrefour within a couple of minutes walk. No street noises, no complaints at all. I would most definitely recommend this property and will stay there again whenever I am in Taipei.
I travel to Taipei very frequently, and have tried most of the top hotels in the city. For sheer comfort, this is the best I’ve found. The rooms are immaculately clean. The decor is dated, but it’s actually quite charming and very well-kept. The bed is firm and the bedding is high-quality. The sofa in our room was wonderful - my partner napped on it! Service is top-notch and friendly. Good WiFi, small but well-equipped gym, and there are free washers and dryers available to guests. Rates are very reasonable relative to quality. The hotel is not sleek or flashy. There’s no trendy bar. But if your primary concern is comfort and quality sleep, this is as good as it gets.
Clean room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. You won't regret staying at this hotel. There are too many things with gold plated surfaces, but after 1-2 days we got use to it. The Evergreen hotel chain has become our first choices if we are to visit Taiwan again. We asked to store 5 bags after we checked out for the nest 4 days, no problem! Valet parking is tip top (and complementary).
Agree with all the good reviews here. Near MRT, good WiFi , spacious rooms, helpful staff. We got an hour earlier check in, which is always helpful, especially with kids around. We left 1 baggage for 5 nights because we went to an out of town trip, and they accommodated our request. What’s more, we left an item and they returned it when we came back. We also bought their food that they sell in front of the hotel, so we didn’t walk far after a tiring day. I would stay here again.
Though a bit dated, the rooms are huge and we have a complimentary upgrade to a King size bed and a additional twin bed for just two of us Big bathroom with jacuzzu and twin gold basins - how thoughtful! Very nice breakfast choice with add on alacarte dishes like beef noodles, dumpling and even steaks! Recommended
Central location, close to MRT line and between two convenience stores. Hotel is very clean, rooms large with separate sitting area. Beds were very comfortable with nice pillows. Bathroom was huge with separate tub and shower. Staff were helpful and buffet breakfast was great, minimal selection, but good food and clean. Would definitely stay here again if in Tapei.
I was given a chance to stay in this hotel sponsored by the events organizer for 3 days 2 nights and quite satisfied in staying here. The room’s size is just right, and felt like a king as its toilet’s sink and its shower is colored gold. Equipped with a motorized and temperature controlled bidet. Food during breakfast was good and in fact never did i ate the same kind of food for 2 bfast as you have a lot of options to choose from. Area is quite near to many places and the service crews were hospitable as well. All in all it is recommended to consider staying at this hotel.
We arrived in Taipei at 5 am from Canada, and had already been travelling for over 2 weeks. We couldn’t believe that they had our room ready for us before 10am, which was great as we could have a shower in the luxurious bathroom to freshen up. The room itself was enormous with a sitting room and another room with both a king and queen bed separated by a faux wall. The staff at the Evergreen were so helpful, whatever we wanted, they were happy to oblige and breakfast was very generous. There were plenty of places to eat nearby, the train station was close and there were plenty of taxis and Uber’s available. If we were ever in Taipei again, we would certainly be happy to stay here again.
The Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taipei is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly attending to all our questions and made great suggestions for us. The rooms are large making this a better travel living experience. I stay in over 75 hotels each year (mostly Marriott) and the Evergreen is high on my list of hotels now. Convenient to the MRT (subway) and taxis are always available. The morning breakfast options were great. This was our first trip to Taipei and we highly recommend the Evergreen Laurel Hotel if you are going to visit.
This was a convenient hotel for a business trip. The location is good. The breakfast menu is decent too, and on top of the all-you-can-eat section you can also choose a main menu to go with (bowl of pork noodles, etc.).
