I checked in to this hotel for quarantine period . Have to say the rooms are well appointed and spacious. The food is very good from a extensive menu for all tastes . Staff are very friendly and nothing is a issue when you call the front desk . If your coming to Taipei then this is a great place to stay .
免疫期間居住3.7米14樓的精薈房. 房間非常安靜有大的落地窗可看到翠綠的山景. 住在其中非常放鬆豪無壓迫感. 旅館服務極佳 During quarantine lock up, the room with 3.7M ceiling set up make us feel very very relaxed and comfortable. This hotel gives 5 star service. Start from booking, Wendy gives her wonderful and thoughtful attention to suit our needs which I’m very grateful. During stay, the front desk and housekeeping department answers all our need immediately. The variation and quality of food is amazingly tasty. I would highly highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Thanks to all the service people who make our stay a great experience.
Great service and amenities. Breakfast was a bit heavy, but lunch and dinner meals have a healthy balance of vegetables and meat. Staff are very responsive to your needs. Wifi was good enough to have meetings and spacious enough for me to do some workouts during quarantine.
I liked it.. good food. Exactly what I expected from such a good hotel. The staff is very timely with meals especially during COVID. Super responsive to the things I needed when requested. I have nothing but respect for their staff.
Pros: Good location. 10 mins walk from MRT and there are lots of places to eat. Good housing keeping. Cons: Reception was not okay since he/she didn’t say too much information about hotel, for example, there are gym, sauna and swimming pool. And they were always busy to use computer or on the phone, didn’t pay attention to who’s waking by. The facilities are old and the lights are so dark. TV cannot work although I didn’t need it. Sauna is not so big. And there are six places for washing and only four places for dryer.
Service is excellent in general. Rooms are old. There is construction on one side of hotel that starts at 8AM, the other side of the hotel faces the freeway. The only reason I’m staying here is because I liked the hotel spa at first glance, but they accept non-hotel guests as health club members, who are super low end as they charge very little money for it and the hotel is not managing the situation. These members are super loud and rude to hotel guests and do weird things like many of them spit around the spa area and pool area, shakes their fully perfumes hair inside the sauna when there are other people in there, speak loudly at all times, and constantly disturbs your peace by rudely asking you if you followed rules out of nowhere, complain as soon as you're having quiet conversations. And if you dare to break any "rules" oh my, you'll be facing some angry woman shouting at you. Super disgusting and low end. Making the experience worse than a 100nt dollar hot spring. So after staying in the hotel for 4-5 weeks, and complaining to no avail, i've moved on to a better hotel.…
Miramar Hotel Rainforest Buffet Restaurant offered fresh seafood, Japanese food, Korean food, Chinese food, and everyone may have one bowl of abalone porridge delivered to the table. There were two kinds of crabs, oysters, abalones, clams, some dishes for vegetarians, fresh made noodle soups with ready made and guests' choices of ingredients on site. Sushi bar offered several choices of hand rolls made fresh. The staff were very tentative and professional.
This is a great hotel and we were lucky to get a low price. It's the first hotel I have been in with an electric toilet. The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinners had a wide range of food from around the world. In the evening unlimited draft beer was included in the price of the meal. The hotel is a little away from the city center, about half way beteen the mail railway station and 101 tower. We checked out very early and were provided with a packed breakfast. In Taipei you must wear a swimming cap when in the pool. They can be purchased beside the pool. There is a small dining room / bar close to the pool.
Miramar Garden Hotel, central Taipei is the perfect hotel to stay. It may be pricy at approx $200 AUD a night, but it’s worth it. You’re met with impeccable service from start to finish. As you arrive the bell staff take your bags from the car, the lovely lady lifting our huge suitcases! We arrived early but the let us check in and leave our bags. The front desk staff are delightful and do their best to accomodate our needs. The exterior looks heritage and something out of England. The foyer area is sophisticated with floor to ceiling marble, royal looking lounge chairs and a lobby cafe with patisserie goods. We return later and head up to our large room, with a huge bed and sweeping views. The room has a desk, mini bar, fridge, kettle and free drinking water, tea and coffee. A huge bathroom with rain water shower head, bath, free toiletries and it all feels very luxurious. Room service was fast and if you’re preferring to eat at the restaurant, there’s one on the ground floor. There’s to an outdoor pool, suitable to do laps in, but don’t forget your cap! Located at the pool is a poolside cafe where you can grab a tea, coffee, hard drink or light lunch. There’s a gymnasium/health club with good quality and quantity of equipment. The most amazing thing was their sauna and spa area. It’s like a Japanese onsen. You wash and then soak naked, have a sauna or steam room and then use their amenities room to blow dry your hair, use products etc. This was incredible. They even allowed us to use this after check out. We thoroughly recommend this hotel. It’s no wonder this is 5 star hotel and deservedly received a Michelin in 2018. …
Considering the fact that I have a long connection in Taiwan, as opposed to staying near the airport vicinity, I wanted to stay in downtown Taipei, hoping to catch a glimpse of this historic city. And without doubt, Miramar Garden Taipei did not disappoint me. For starters, while I've seen some reviews that the check-in staff is 'unpleasant' and 'abrupt', I consider myself lucky not to get the type of staff described in other travelers' posts. This said, in my case, the staff was very friendly. Also, it is important to bear in mind the fact that many Taiwanese are very shy and not necessarily rude (I learned this after living in mainland China for more than six months), and many of them do not speak proper English. Therefore, as a result, this makes them appear as rude but they aren't necessarily that. Regarding the hotel, considering I was only here for a night, the highlight of my trip was the famous Taiwanese beef noodle soup, which was just about perfect--not too spicy, not too salty, but perfect. Ultimately, If you feel like walking, I would also add that this hotel has a great location with a lot of restaurants on the spot.…
