As we arrived on the bus after a long day of sightseeing with tired bodies and sore feet, the Taipei Garden Hotel in the Zhongzheng District, looked inviting and wonderful. We had just concluded a 5-day trip around Taiwan from Taipei to Eluanbi Park (southernmost tip of Taiwan) and many places in between on both coasts. For our last 4 days in Taipei, we wanted to be central to everything. Our room #1525 double was spacious and decorated in off-white beige color. The bed was comfortable and I sleep very well. The bathroom was modern with marble walls and floor, Japanese toilet with controls, and walk-in rain shower and bathtub. To-Gather Kitchen is as cozy and relaxed buffet style restaurant serving cuisines from around the world, including Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Italian and more. The colorful display of all dishes and ingredients is inviting. The many entrees and side dishes were both vegetarian friendly and vegan options The family friendly atmosphere and centrally location makes the hotel COMFORTABLE and CONVENIENT ... at the Taipei Garden Hotel.…
My family was very happy with how clean our room and bathroom was. The bathroom also had a separate tub which was welcome. Staff at the front desk was extremely helpful with our many queries, from extending our stay, to cutting some of our larger bills and just general tourist advice. We also opted in for the breakfast buffet which had a mix of western and asian food. Food was average but variety was welcome and it was convenient to just go to the 1st floor every morning for a quick start to the day. Finally, one block away from a MRT station, and only a few stops away from the great Ximending shopping and food area.
This was one of the best hotels i have stayed at except for one thing - their hair dryer is not good. We were 3 in a room and we had to sled our baths because the hair dryer air pressure was so low and it took long to dry hair. I will stay there again but bring my own next time🤗
We stayed here during a holiday trip in Dec. Firstly the hotel has an entrance at the back which is good as it enables car/van to provide a drop-off conveniently. The main entrance faces the main road which is pretty busy. I would say the location of the hotel is great as many things were within walking distance. There is a MRT station nearby, Carrefour just across the road and the Xinmending shopping area is not too far away. The staff were very helpful all the time and recommended us the best way to get around and suggested some restaurants as well. The room was of average size. The bathroom has an electronic bidet and a unique square bathtub which was a first for me. Good thing despite an averaged size room there was a long platform provided for baggage. Breakfast was at the ground floor restaurant. The spread provided was quite good with both western and local choices. However it is quite repetitive and can get a bit boring after a few days. There is also a hottub/jacuzzi on the topfloor. This can be booked at the reception for a fee.…
Taiwan was a three day stopover on way from Manila to Busan. The place turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and a hidden gem generally overlooked by travellers. As expected in the Far East the hotel staff were super efficient. All the paperwork was in hand and I hthink check in took 4 minutes! As soon as we arrived in the hotel arranged airport transportation, the luggage was quickly removed and in less than ten minutes we were in the bedroom with the luggage! The location is not central but only took 15 minutes walk to the hub of the city. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special. Staff were always in hand to assist. Have to revisit Taiwan and do a more extensive trip, will stay at this hotel again. Its four star and well meets that rating.
