Located on the river.
We arrived at 16:00 was closed. Was a sign to ring when closed, but we will not make an international call. Not acceptable when they say check-in are from 15: 00.

We chose this location because we did the hike from Moselkern to Burg Eltz and loved the hike and the castle ! The property is a tad dated and the wifi was sketchy, but this was a great stop on our tour down the Mosel.

As is the case with many hotels in Germany, especially smaller ones, check-in time is usually 2pm but I have found that if the room is ready and free, I have been allowed to check into the room early. Most hotels will be glad to hold your baggage, check you in and then put your baggage in your room in your absence once it is available.
