Coming into Taipei 2 days earlier for a 5-day Island Tour, we searched for a hotel with easy access to transportation and with business within close proximity. We chose Greenworld Hotel Zhongxiao. With a red-eye flight arriving at 6:00am early morning, our group of 8 couples dropped our bags before going out for a early brunch. The Front Desk greeted us warmly and said our rooms will be ready by 3:30pm. There is no separate storage room. All the baggage were stacked on top of each other in a corner near the Front Desk. The staff was friendly and informative. The lobby is very small with 2 benches. We were back at 2:30pm ready to wait. We were surprised to learn that all our rooms were ready. Wow! A quick shower and short nap helped the jet lag from the 14 hours flight. The elevators were slow. Allow extra time to get to the lobby during the morning rush and also to get to breakfast on lower floor. We were in Room 705 at the end of the corridor. The Executive Double Room was very comfortable and spacious with a small sitting area with 2 easy chairs. There were enough wall outlets to charge 2 iPhones, 2 spare batteries, 2 rental wifi eggs, & 2 wifi spare batteries. The bed was huge with comfy pillows and mattress. The TV had good cable stations. The closet is small and only one carryon luggage can fit inside. Bathroom - the modern marble tiled walls and tiled floors, recessed lighting, Japanese multi-function toilet, bath tub and separate glass shower with rain shower. Internet Access - the free wifi access keeping us in touch with folks back home with daily summary of our activities through email, photos, and instant messaging both in our room and in the restaurant area. Business Center - it is located off the restaurant with 2 desktop computer screen & keyboard; the phone with speaker (however there is no private conversation since the restaurant is just outside the center with no door). Breakfast Buffett - the breakfast offers both Western style and Asian style. There are more variety in Asian style including both Chinese traditional dishes (dim sum, congee, rice, and noodles ) and other popular dishes and Japanese traditional breakfast dishes (miso soup, pickled vegetables, and rice) along with speciality dishes. Fruit juices, fresh fruits, and Asian specialty fruits were always available. There is a coffee machine offering drip coffee, latte, espresso, hot chocolate, and hot water for tea bags. Close To - Dunhua Metro (blue line) – 2 min walk Fuxing Station (brown line) – 6 min walk Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall – 16 min walk Songshan Cultural & Creative Park - 19 min walk Taipei Arena - 19 min walk The family friendly atmosphere and centrally location makes the hotel COMFORTABLE and CONVENIENT ... at the Greenworld Hotel Zhongxiao.…
Stay here for 4 days 3 nights (during corona virus / covid19) ✅good location (near mrt station and bus stop) ✅ near to shops ✅ near family mart and 7 eleven ✅ big room ✅ free mini bar (coke and sprite) ❌ thin wall ❌ near / in front of omni night club (in the middle of the night u will hear annoying voice at 2-3am
Overall a positive experience. The hotel is situated very close to the shopping streets (both the larger shops and the smaller boutique shops) and has a number of convenience stores within a couple of minutes, should you need supplies (e.g. water etc). The rooms are spacious, clean and with a good sized bathroom. Staff were generally welcoming and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t great... Our main gripe with the hotel was their inflexibility to waive fees of a previous incorrect booking.
I have stayed 4 nights with family during X'mas holiday. The location is excellent and just fews minutes walk to MRT station. Many restaurants, cafes and convenient shops nearby the hotel. Staff are very helpful. Highly recommended.
This hotel is situated along Taipei popular shopping district. Very convenient and near to MRT station. One issue is the entrance to the hotel is located at the rear of the building shielded by rows of car park. The front of the building used to be occupied by Forever 21 is now vacant. (We thought the hotel is closed) The reception lobby is very small with hardly sitting spaces for big groups. Having said, the guest rooms are very spacious. We stayed in one with window view. There is even a TV inside the bath room.Breakfast at 2nd level is only average. Not much variety. Another issue is that it does not serve fried egg.
Stayed here for 9 nights with my family (2A 3C) and we booked a room with no windows, which was able to accommodate two queen sized beds comfortably. For me the ‘highlight’ is the toilet, which was surprisingly modern, spacious and clean. Service from front desk was bordering acceptable, but otherwise the housekeeping staff and staff in the restaurant were all very helpful and friendly. There are many good eateries around the hotel (big bonus!!) plus it is only a 3min walk to the train station.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and the room itself was pretty nice. Location was very close to the subway line as well, and in a great neighborhood. Laundry was super expensive though, $5USD for one load of dry and wash, which seemed a bit much.
Great location, great rooms but lousy service from the front desk. Calculative on some minor request. Definitely will not head back to the hotel again after 7 days stay. Will not recommend to others with intention to stay in Taipei.
Stayed here for 4 days with 2 adults and 2 children. Great location. 3 mins walk away from the mrt station and surrounded by shopping locations. Dont let the exterior deter you coz the rooms are all very new and well decorated. They even have tv in bathtub and room is very clean! What we did not expect was that they have halal breakfast! Staff told me that we are their first muslim hotel guest. Just need to inform the staff at the breakfast counter and they will prepare the meals for us to be served on the table. our room comes with breakfast so there was no additional charge for this service.Food was fantastic and balanced. We were served different food everyday during our stay for four nights. Hotel staff were all so polite and friendly and accomodating. Special thanks to the restaurant staff that made us especially felt welcomed here. Overall, we are very satisfied and pleased with our stay. Highly recommended for muslim tourists and also those with family! Will definitely come back if we are back in taipei. …
great location, RIGHTY next to the metro station exit 3. Staff were very helpful at check in and also each morning at breakfast. Breakfast selection was great, lots of different hot options and there were also western options such as toast or cereals. Big rooms, very clean and modern. Only issue was I could hear the road traffic at night time, better sound proofing needed. Would definatly stay here again though
