Detailed Reviews
We had stayed at The Corner House previously so knew what to expect but were surprised that they too were aware of us and greeted us warmly as returning clients.
The service is exceptional, in all facets of the accommodation. The room, the bed, the facilities, including the fitness centre, the laundry and the continuous availability of coffee and snacks all add to the experience. The only available meal at the facility is breakfast but that too is a good mix of Chinese and some western cuisine. The location is good with access to excellent restaurants nearby, and the train station is very (very) close. Overall, we were delighted we made the choice to return to The Corner House and would thoroughly recommend it to others. The staff are the top of the crop, along with a great location and access through the train system to many of the worthwhile visitor locations across the city and beyond.

This hotel is inexpensive had great staff and super breakfast. It is close to the MRT and a couple of night markets. There is a coin laundry in basement and the rooms are large with massive king beds and a separate lounge area and a deep bath in which to soak

Corner House was more than what our family expected. At a very good location which was within 5 to 10 minutes walk to most of the attractions n places to eat. The subway is less than 5 minutes away n from there the various attractions were accessible.Staff were very helpful, rooms were super comfortable n clean and amenities were also good. Breakfast was a good spread. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Corner House.

I have stayed at Corner House for about 7 months. I was impressed by the professional team members and their caring. I lived alone and therefore I concern about a sense of safety and security at Corner House. Lovely and professional staff, especially all beauties (Kim, Kitty, Cora, Jennifer, auntie helper at breakfast time) and handsome guys (Eric, Bobby, Dennis) always take care of me (I visit alone). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hygiene level is satisfactory. I would recommend this service apartment to friends without hestitation. Once again, many thanks for their caring.

I get that dusting behind things is a easy thing to overlook but when there's dust bunnies collecting on the wire under the mounted tv that's not hidden... You're just asking for someone to complain. Makes you think what else they don't do when that's clearly visible to the cleaning staff.

+1
We loved staying here. A few meters from Daan Park Station, with view to Taipei 101 in a calm neighborhood and in walking distance (for the brave) of Shida Night Market. The room was spacious and the staff really nice. The breakfast had various options and always changing during the week we spent there. The only thing we have on the negative point is that it could be cleaner, as there was a lot of dust on the furniture. But we definitely would pick it again in a next stay in Taipei.

Everything about this apartment hotel exceeded my expectation, and this delightful encounter came after a stream of stays at 5 starts resorts from S.E. Asia. Go for the Deluxe Suites which was totally worth the NT 300 upgrade charge. The kitchenette is set up for minimal use so don't expect to cook up a meal in here, and why would you, when you are merely a few blocks from the famous Yung-Kang street where all the award winning Taiwanese restaurants awaits? In the other direction is the famous Flower/Jade markets which happens every Saturday and Sunday. This is a must visit- a quintessential Taiwan experience-as you can observe the local people on their favorite weekend outings with their elderly parents, kids of all ages, dogs in all kinds of funky outfits. Have a chat with the local artisans who devote their whole life in specialized pottery (wood burning), and rare orchids nursery. If you don't speak any Mandarin, hire an interpreter and have a field day listening to their tran-sformative stories-a true Taiwanese treasure. 2 blocks to the award winning (in design and aesthetic) Daan Park Subway Station, if you are a New Yorker, you'll wonder where have you been to think subway should be just a gaping smelly hole in the ground. And right in the middle of Daan Park (5 minutes walk from the hotel), there is a wonderful and clean pond where over 30 species of Taiwanese water birds migrated and stayed, Taiwan red squarrels, and families of turtles lined up on a tree trunk to sun-bathe. I saw a lot of nature photographers taking their expensive camera there to shoot photos. What is also interesting about this park is the beautiful rehabilitation outdoor center for people with mobility issues, mostly the elderly, whom came with their nurse maid to this park to practice walking while breathing the fresh air. All of these are completely free. Wow! What an eye opener! What an utopian concept!
The hotel itself is being looked after by a team of diligent staff from the front desk to cleaning personnel and always greets their residents with smiles and courtesy. I stayed for a whole week, and never once saw them in idleness and taking leisure time for themselves.
Laundry room is clean but only one washer and dryer, so be prepared to wait for your turn.
Breakfast is heavenly if you want the authentic Taiwanese food experience. I had 2 servings of perfectly tendered sea cucumber, beef tendon and cucumber this morning, this is the kind of delicacies you'll find in serious Chinese restaurants only back in the states. There are great varieties of local greens fresh from the market (I saw the delivery man every morning). In addition, there's standard buffet breakfast offerings of pastries, toast, eggs, sausages, etc, congee and its condiments, yogurts, cereals and local fruits. If you are not a food adventurous you will find the breakfast offering limited. But if you come to Taipei and don't try the local food, you missed about 50% of your Taiwan experience.
The room is simple, spacious, comfortable, very well designed and pleasing to the eyes. Lots of natural light and different textures that harmonize the atmosphere. It is the first hotel I stayed where the shower door opens freely without catching the floor towel. Great rain shower, deep soaking tub, auto toilet. Self-lit closet with iron/ironing board. Hot water heater ready to go. Everything are well placed and practical for ease of use. There are some street noise, and occasional neighbor noise because it is a popular family hotel especially with younger kids, but it is far better than hotel right on the main road (like Dandy).
The location is in a somewhat quiet residential neighborhood, but one of the best neighborhood (if not THE best) in the city. No where else has designated pedestrian side-walk in an already narrow lane, my Taiwanese friends were surprised that it even exist. This and the park, and the beautiful subway makes it an ideal place for families with younger kids.
And there is a organic food store/restaurant across the street for the health conscious.
If you will be arriving by plane, book the airport transfer from the hotel directly, which only cost NT 200.00 more than if you book the taxi yourself. And the meet and greet at the airport was more than worth the up-charge, and of course the driver will know very well how to get there.
This will be my second home on this planet.

My husband and I stayed at The Corner House for 4 nights in early December. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite on the 6th floor. Cost of each night worked out to be around US$140 all inclusive. The suite had a (very comfortable) king bed (with foam and down pillows), a bathroom with shower and bathtub, a sitting room with a 42" flat screen TV and more than 50 channels to choose from (including CNN, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Disney Channel, Star World, Star Sport, etc), a kitchenette with small fridge, cooker, microwave and electric kettle.
The Corner House is relatively new, and only opened for business in the latter half of 2010. Breakfast is included in the price (and served in the lounge on the ground floor) and although the choice is not huge, there is a good selection of asian and western items to choose from. Coffee and tea (plus juice, apples, snickers and breadsticks) are provided (free of charge) in the lounge throughout the day.
Wireless internet is free and connection was fast and steady.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and enthusiastic in providing assistance to guests. Being in a residential area, the room was quiet. There is a supermarket just round the corner, about 2 minutes walk away and although the nearest MRT station is about 10 mins walk away, taxis are plentiful and relatively cheap in Taipei. Whilst we were staying at the Corner House we never had to wait more than 3 minutes to flag down a cab.
There are lots of eateries within a 5 minutes' stroll from The Corner House (including Mos Burgers!!). My husband and I enjoyed our stay and will most probably stay here again when we return to Taipei.

Excellent facilities, well equipped great rooms, cleaned bathrooms, delicious breakfast with a varieties of choice, cooperative English speaking staffs, very good house keeping staffs, a mini gym opened till 11:00 pm and excellent location, very close to Da'an park station, convenience stores nearby, close to Da'an park to spend some relaxing moment. Overall, I found nothing short in this property, except that the price might be slightly in the upper side for budget business customers. Then its in a residential area, so you won't have great window views and also need to keep your window curtains on.
