Do not book this hotel or any in its group. They cancelled my reservation and offered much lower standard as replacement which we didn’t accept and they still have not paid us back the deposit six months later. Never book, and definitely never pay a deposit to this or any of the G hotel group.
Just back from spending a week in this hotel. We are a family of four with two teens. Our room was located at Anatoli Suites so we had a private shared pool. Due to the impact of Covid the hotel was at half occupancy, therefore they were not at full staff compliment. however, the staff was so helpful, energised and willing to accommodate we felt very well looked after. With regards hygiene procedures and social distancing all the staff was knowledgeable and accurate in their practices. The set up around common areas was well thought. We felt extremely safe and the hotel was super clean. Our daughters experienced many water activities down at the fabulous sandy beach and my husband and I really enjoyed the hotel staff’s recommendation to visit nearby town Afytos (€8 taxi) so much that we visited twice. The local town, Kallithea is only 20 min walk (€5 taxi) is lively, safe and caters for all ages. I could not recommend this hotel enough, and really appreciated the friendliness and warmth of all the staff. From management, the reception staff to the breakfast and bar teams, they worked so hard to make us feel safe and at home. Thank you for all your work and dedication, keep safe and hope to see you again next year. Ana & Larry McDonald …
Great holiday, friendly staff and enjoy every second. One of the best beach around, pools clean, food amazing and the hotel room is worth all the money. Recommend to everyone!!! Beer and wine good quality
Just came back from a 7-day stay. Amazing hotel, but what impressed us most was the staff - it can't be easy at the moment with all of the COVID complications, but they did their utmost to look after us wonderfully. Friendly, helpful, and great with the kids. Bravo!
Booked for a relaxing holiday this time. Hotel staff was very friendly keeping all necessary precautions due to Covid 19. Signage in all public areas warning to keep safe distance, disinfectants placed at the entrance of hotel lobby, reception, elevators, restaurants and bars. A safe destination for relaxing holiday, with the most fantastic beach in the area Pallini beach.
Excellent stay at this lovely hotel situated right on the beach. The staff were really friendly and always helpful throughout. Reception were exceptionally helpful. We had a fantastic stay. Only thing we could fault would be that the food although really good quality and tasty could have been kept hotter. A microwave would be an asset. We just waited until the food came out fresh and pounced. Would not hesitate to visit again and thoroughly recommend to anyone.
Beautiful location on the beach .Whole hotel was very clean and all staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly . All pool areas were great . Food was standard all inclusive (3 star not 5star like hotel ) ,could always find some thing to eat, lots of choice .pancakes and honey at breakfast were good. Only big complaint is drinks ,all juices are artificial and revolting .The coffee was also well below standard .There is no self service for any drinks so sometimes you would have to queue for a very low quality drink .The only drink my kids found bearable was the lemonade. Apart from that the location on beach and amazing weather made up for it.The hotel beach is great for sunbathing but not swimming or snorkelling due to large rocks making it inaccessible.head to Afytos from the bustop outside the main entrance , there you will find shops and a beautiful beach without rocks that you can swim and snorkel in.(There is a steep walk down to the beach a Afytos ) Next to the hotel is a hill take a walk up this and find a beautiful pine forest with amazing wildlife ,walk through the forest and about half an hour later you will arrive at Kallithea centre (shops ,restaurants and beach )…
We had booked a three star all inclusive hotel in Halkidiki, but when we got there we had been upgraded to the five star Theophano Imperial Palace hotel and then further upgraded to a beautiful pool suite. The food at the hotel is very good and I particularly enjoyed the desserts. The all inclusive drinks were a bit limited but the red & white wine are drinkable and Valarios the barman is quite willing to make you your own recipe cocktail. The best part of this hotel are the wonderful staff who work very hard and seem to be there twenty four seven. Special big thank you to the hotel manageress for the room upgrade and our lovely waitress Maria for whom nothing was too much trouble.
Theophano Imperial Palace Stayed at this hotel between 28th September 2019 until 5th October 2019. Stayed as a couple in a deluxe room, if affordable I would recommend a suite with a pool on the sea front. This hotel is great for a relaxing holiday. Great if you do not want to leave the hotel complex. It is however a little isolated from activity in the local area, the local town is a 30 minute walk, but not worth the visit. Afytos is the next nearest, but a 9 euro taxi ride away, well worth a visit, but once you’ve done it, where next? A car is a good idea if you want to see more. The all inclusive is not very inclusive outside of the restaurant. You have to pay for bottles of water and ice cream. Even snacks around the pool are charged for. Also, if you like your wine, it is not of a high quality here but at least you will never get drunk on it. There were always plenty of sun beds available around the pools and on the beach. Entry into the sea is a little painful without rubber shoes as it is a bit rocky. Not a soft sand entry. You should give it a try for the relaxing side of the holiday but I doubt I will go back. …
I visited this hotel with my husband for one week at the end of September. We booked with Loveholiday.com and flew Ryanair (avoid Ryanair if at all possible). But that’s another story. Firstly, whilst there was nothing actually wrong with this hotel – it is clean and comfortable – it is definitely not 5*. The all-inclusive aspect is minimal and includes your 3 meals and drinks but very little else. Ice creams and snacks do not appear to be included should you want them and only a slice of plain cake with tea or coffee is offered FOC each afternoon. The only other snacks I saw were a very limited number of cheese pasties at one of the pool bars. The alcohol is very poor – no branded drinks and hard to tell what you are really drinking. I usually drink white wine but it was not drinkable so resorted to rose which was just passable if you were eating. Bottled water must be paid for (with the exception of the bottle left in our room on arrival). The food in the restaurant is good – lots of choice and when it was supposed to be hot, it was. However, nothing out of the ordinary and no steaks or fish being grilled in front of you (which is usual at a 5* hotel). There was supposed to be an a la carte restaurant at one of the other hotels in the complex but we never found it. Nice touches in the restaurant included Prosecco on Sunday morning and a whole honeycomb for you to break pieces off for your breakfast. Unfortunately, the fruit tends to be sliced or cut in advance so frequently found myself eating brown apples, pear and banana. Just leave the fruit whole, we are quite capable of cutting it up ourselves ! Waiting staff in the restaurant are lovely. Extremely efficient and good at remembering exactly what you like and when. A special mention to Lidia who was a very good waitress in deed. There is no entertainment in this hotel apart from a gentleman playing an electric piano. His repertoire was very small and repetitive and frequently interrupted whilst he popped out for a fag and played a tape of some description. Supposed to be entertainment in one of the other hotels but all we ever saw were quizzes being advertised. Our room was spacious and comfortable albeit dated. The air-con was working but ineffective which meant sleeping with the ceiling fan on during the night. The grounds and pools were very nice and at this time of year there is no problem with getting yourself a lounger or parasol. Same applied to the small private beach – plenty of room and plenty of loungers. Be aware, access to the sea is pretty hair raising without something on your feet. Very stony and slippery but otherwise the sea was lovely. Location is not great. Not a very pretty area in my opinion and really nowhere to go. Only one town worth visiting really which is Athytos and is not walkable due to mad, fast drivers and no pavements. Sadly, this was a very boring holiday (perfect for anyone who just wants to lie on a sunbed from first thing in the morning till dinner time) and do absolutely nothing in the evening. As there was no rep at the hotel, we never got any information about the hotel and had to ask even the most basic of questions like where we could go within the complex and where we could sit FOC. There was not even a folder of info in either the room or in reception in English – although every other language seemed to be catered for. Overall, a mind bendingly boring holiday/hotel which I could not recommend as being 5*. Lovely staff, clean, comfortable, good food in restaurant, relaxing (if that’s what you want) but don’t expect too much and assume 3 to 4 * at best.…
