We had a delightful stay in a beautiful country setting in the Crags, overlooking the hills and forests. The well kept garden and spacious rolling lawns, as well as the bird songs, complement the serenity of the surroundings. Relaxing on loungers at the poolside in the warm afternoon sun was therapeutic. The sunsets were spectacular! But even more impressive was...

We stayed at this lovely guesthouse in May 2016. It is perfectly situated only 10-15 minutes outside Plettenberg bay in a beautifully peaceful spot with views of the mountains from the garden and breakfast area. Erica, the owner (and chef) and her daughter Natalie gave us a very warm welcome despite being in the middle of a family crisis the...

Tarn Country House offers superior rooms and amenities! We had a wonder family getaway. The hostess and staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. They were great with our 17month old son. I would recommend Tarn Country House to everyone looking for a home away from home experience!

We stayed for four days.Very good turn off indications on the main road. In the centre off the Crags , ten minutes drive to all the main attractions. The first knight supper "Springbuck fillet" was absolutely fabulous, were treated like family. Even had a small library and a fire place for the rainy days.

There is something about country houses and boutique hotels, they just never cease to disappoint. Tarn Country House had the most spectacular view of the mountains and the rooms were tactfully decorated with high quality linen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

For two nights our we were the lucky visitors of the Tarn Country House. We had the swimming pool and other facilities to ourselves and our host brought us cool drinks. The accommodation itself was comfortable and consisted of what was required. On the second night the host arranged a traditional braai for us. After being in South Africa for...

We only stayed one night but wish we had spent more time here. Tarn is beautiful and makes you want to spend a lot of time just sitting outside, gazing at the view. Pool was a hit with our kids. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Kids loved the crepes! The rooms were spacious. Wish they had been aired as they...

We were travelling as two couples and both received comfortable rooms - albeit one with additional sitting area. Our bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast provided good choice and a well cooked and substantial main to order. We enjoyed two dinners both of which were good if not great. Best to provide your own wine. Staff were delightful. Wi-fi...
