We arrived early having booked at the last minute and Raffaella welcomed us enthusiastically. Our room had a wonderful view over the hills and valleys - a bit like Nepal in feel. It was attractively and imaginatively designed with everything you could want - good bathroom, washing machine, a/c, comfy bed,,kitchenette, TV, fridge etc. She suggested a place for supper when we asked her - Pepe Rosa - and this turned out to be our best Sicilian meal so far. Bronte is apparently the pistachio capital of Italy so be prepared for them to pop up everywhere! Great food, great friendly Saturday night vibe with groups of young people out having dinner together. How civilised is that? Oddly no Pistachio ice cream on the menu - maybe they think you'll be "pistachioed out" by the time comes for dessert! Overall out one night at I Cugi was a delight - including an atmospheric late night walk back to the B&B through the empty streets. As another review observes don't be put off by the petrol station in front of the B&B - makes it hard to forget to fill up when you leave!

B&B I Cugi is a really nice play to stay. Not too far from the city centre and very nice and clean. The more than amazing host Raffaella is the best about this place. Very very nice, kind and helpful with everything. If you're not too much into bodylanguage, don't worry, Raffaella speaks very good english. As someone else wrote, don't worry about the gas station in the front. It's actually a bit charming... :-)

When we arrived at I Cugi, we were met by Raffaella's mother who offered us a double downstairs. We found it adequate and clean, and thought that this is what I Cugi had to offer. We enjoyed being able to sit outside in the garden/patio though it's not a very green spot. The next morning we were invited upstairs to breakfast, and suddenly realised that the majority of the B&B is a very modern, stylishly-designed place with large rooms full of furniture, much newer and nicer than our room. Raffaella did ask us if we'd like to move upstairs, but we felt that we'd already settled in, and actually assumed that our older less spacious room would certainly be cheaper than the 50 euros we were quoted for the new ones. However, when I asked about it the next morning, that turned out not to be true and I find that a bit shocking and not at all fair. In addition, the breakfast pastries were micro-waved several times before we ate them, we kept having meat piled on the cheese though we emphasized that we are vegetarians (and therefore did not eat the cheese) and the tea was also heated in the micro-wave and was neither hot nor brewed. I realise from my research here that reasonably-priced accommodation is hard to find amongst the western Etna villages, but I was still disappointed and feel we were overcharged for what we got (breakfast was 10 euros in addition to the price of the room).

Centrally located close to the town centre. Raffaella was waiting for our arrival and made us feel at home immediately we stepped in I Cugi B&B. The place is impeccably clean, rooms are air-conditioned, spacious, fitted with new furniture and also house a kitchenette. Free WIFI and TV services. Lovingly run by the family, Raffaella's mother woke up early to prepare us a generous, home-made breakfast with freshly baked croissants. Do not be put off by the fact that this B&B is situated behind an Esso fuel station. No smell of fumes. Good parking space.

Don't let the petrol station in front scare you! When we arrived even the guy working there was so friendly and helpful, she called and told them we had arrived. We had a great stay. Rafaella was so sweet and friendly. She made us the best breakfast we ate in Italy. She is very passionate about Bronte and Sicily and she has alot to tell! We liked that she gives you a choice for breakfast and we chose the savoury breakfast which was so great because after 2 months of sweet, it can get a bit much! We were stuffed! Even with cannoli, pistachio pizza and very delicious almond milk. We loved the modern, spotlessly clean room. Fully equipped kichenette and a washing machine. When staying in Bronte, Cugi should be your first choice!!!

The rooms are huge, almost small appartments with a little kichenette. When we arrived we wanted to drive on because the B&B is located on the same property as the petrol station ( same family) but there was no smell so we stayed. The 2 sisters who are running this B&B are great and give everything they have got. Great breakfast with home made pastry. Free wifi, just ask for the code. Their brother owns the B&B Planet rooms in the same building. I Guci has 13 rooms. When you arrive mother will be probably on the balcony and she will warn one of her daughters, mother doesn't speak any english. There are several restaurants around, allright by foot.

We had a most charming and welcoming stay here for one night of our honeymoon and were amazed by Gina's hospitality and the nice rooms. Gina (the owner) even surprised us with a wedding cake she made especially for us - many thanks! The rooms are big (suited well even for families) and kept very well, and there was virtually no noise from the street. We can recommend this B&B to everyone staying in Bronte.

We stayed for one night on a Motorbike Tour over Sicily. Located next to the town centre, easy to find. Good parking space for the motorbikes inside the court. Nice and adorable friendly B&B. Rooms are ok and clean. Fantastic self cocked breakfast, never expected in Italy. Highly recommended to start a day at the Etna.
