The most wonderful thing about this bed and breakfast is the owner. He is so kind and generous to his guests and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. His advice on touring the area was most appreciated. Looking forward to visiting the Juno area and staying here again.

We stayed with Alain and Francoise for 5 days. The rooms are huge, the location quiet and the hosting excellent. I cannot recommend this B and B highly enough. The breakfast is home made and delicious, the location is a great one to day trip to all the great sights of the region. If you ask him Alain delights in giving really useful tourist advice. Forget your faceless hotels and enjoy the hospitality and value of a wonderful B and B.

We stayed here in part because of the strong TripAdvisor reviews and holy cow they are right. What a beautiful B&B. Our room was very large with a private bath and we could not have been happier. Alain is a perfect host and will guide you around the entire region because he knows of so many places you would never think of visiting. Just tell him what you are interested in and he will show you where they are on a map. The breakfast was incredible, everything was homemade. We met some people at breakfast from Denmark and another couple from the UK who had stayed there for 8 years in a row, that should be enough to let you know it’s the place to stay in the area. All Canadians visiting Normandy will be seeing Juno Beach and Basly is so close by it’s a great place to base your vacation out of. Our only regret is only have one night to stay there. Don’t miss this gem.

The owner was very kind and really helpful. The room was big and perfectly clean and arranged. Breakfast rich and various (homemade cake and jam). Really close to the D-Day places and Bayeaux. We truly recommend this place.

This B&B is located in a small village of Basly which is central to all the sights you may want to visit on the Normandy coast from Mt St Michel to Honfluer. The B&B itself has everything that you expect in a purpose built B&B and includes all the amenities you need including spacious rooms, well equipped bathrooms including nice toiletries, comfortable beds, in room Wi-Fi, a common room with TV a beautiful garden area behind and free parking in front. There are 2 exceptional aspects to this B&B. The first is the croissants that they serve with breakfast. The breakfast itself is more than the typical continental breakfast and includes juices, cereal, milk, bread, yogurt and delicious homemade preserves. But the (highlight to me) were the croissants. I ate croissants all over France and the croissants served here were the very best. Light and slightly crunchy. The other exceptional characteristic was the innkeeper himself, Alain. Perhaps it is not surprising in that he has had years of senior hotel management experience but staying at his B&B was one of highlights of our trip to Normandy. Upon arrival Alain will meet you and ask about your plans for visiting Normandy. After some discussion, the next morning he will present you with a suggested itinerary including maps, routes and restaurants near the places you wish to visit. Using his suggestions we got to see several attractions which we would otherwise have driven past. In the evening he will ask you about your day and discuss your plans for the coming days. At breakfast the next morning there are again the maps and the suggestions. Alain truly is a remarkable man who has tremendous pride in and knowledge of Normandy. Because we are Canadians Alain made sure we visited the memorial, in Basly, to the Canadian serviceman who helped liberate Normandy and learned the story of his friend Bud Hannam. After much too short a stay, and leaving to visit the Loire Valley area, Alain provided us with a list of suggested places to visit in the Loire, which we used. Unfortunately we did not get to meet his partner/wife who was away visiting family but in reading previous reviews she is equally as remarkable.
