We'd a great overnight stay in Ballyboy House. The house is fantastic, the furniture is eclectic and the welcome was warm. We particularly enjoyed wandering through the beautiful ash forests, mucking about in the little boat on the pond and chatting to both John and Breeda. Thanks also for a great breakfast, which set us up for a walk on...

Ballyboy House is a truly special and unique B and B. Breda and John are excellent hosts. When we arrived we were shown into a wonderful room with so many interesting curios then served tea and cake by a toasty woodburner. Breda informed us we could have the use of this room and the games room during our stay. Our...

This was a gem of a find, the house and settings are magnificent. The food was delicious and plenty of choice. The ambience was most welcoming and the icing on the cake was most definitely Breeda, she is absolutely fabulous, being a hotelier previously myself I know what it takes to make a successful business and Breeda certainly does that....

Upon arrival we were offered tea, coffee and sweet bread. The room was very nice, the land the house sits on is just beautiful! It's like a paradise. Beautiful garden, nice statues, a river runs through the property. The hostess was very friendly, talked to us about the family history and how the B&B came to be. The breakfast was...

Fabulous old house decorated in an eclectic way full of history and local sports. Hospitality of times past. Large comfy rooms to relax with a billiards table that my son was delighted with. Bedroom was massive and so too with the en suite. Bedclothes high quality. For such a large house and only two rooms occupied it was perfectly heated....

At only €40 & some decent reviews I was delighted with myself. I drove to clogheen from the waterford side and it was a very...

The host is wonderful. She makes you feel so at home. The place is in itself a place to explore.....a river, gardens, woods and a lake all in ballyboy house. The rooms are spacious and the beds are lovely. No wifi or Tv so its a real get away from the hustle of the city. A place to stay if...
