My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon and we absolutely adored Marsh Mere in Ballyhack. The Full Irish Breakfast was outstanding, Claire McNamara is a great hostess, and we really wish we could have stayed longer. Claire was kind to make us dinner reservations at a great nearby restaurant. We really enjoyed our room, which offered us a...

My wife and I have made a return visit to this very charming and high quality establishment, B@B does not do it justice , bijoux hotel is perhaps more appropriate . The bedrooms and reception rooms are stocked with original antique furniture that appear to have been painstakingly acquired over a number of years . The ambiance comfort and quality...

I was dissapointed with my stay here, because of all the wonderfull reveiws my expectations were very high. In fairness the property is very clean and Claire has put a lot of thought in to the decor.... I felt given that I was paying 100 euro for a B&B for one person that the quality would be higher, I was...

When I was a kid, my Parents used to take us on holidays to the 'south', where mum would book a B&B from the paper. Sometimes she got lucky, but more often not. Now when I book' I get the benefit of a Gallery of photos but even then they can be a little misleading, favourable angles etc.. Marsh Mere...

This is definitely a cut above your standard B&B... the rooms and decor inside are worthy of any decent 4 star hotel. The welcome was really friendly and you felt like you were being invited into someone's home, rather than just to stay at a B&B. We'd been camping for a couple of days & the weather was pretty bad...

This is my first Trip Advisor review but I felt I had to write about this fantastic B&B! The location is gorgeous, it is so picturesque and peaceful, it's a shame my stay wasn't longer. The personal service from the Manager was unlike any I had experienced before from a B&B, she is absolutely lovely, so accommodating, friendly and helpful....

I would highly recommend a stay in Marsh Mere Lodge, you will receive a very warm welcome from a lovely lady called Claire. Shortly after settling into my room I received a complimentary afternoon tea and cake which went down a real threat. There is a beautiful sitting room up stairs for your use with beautiful books that make very...

I've never written a review before but I felt I really had to express just what a delightful time we had in Marsh Mere Lodge. It is quite simply the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. Like others have said here it is a beautiful house full of character and lovely antiques and old photos with a most warm...

The end of January is not the best time to visit Ireland but we were very fortunate. Not only was the weather kind, but the B&B was ideal - comfortable room, hospitable host and superb breakfast. The Bed was perfect, warm and cosy with electric blanket, duvet and eiderdown. The sitting room was large and nicely furnished with a blazing...

We have just spent two nights in Marsh Mere Lodge and I would highly recommend it. Claire is a wonderful welcoming host. She made tea for us when we arrived with delicious cake. She had switched on the electric blanket in our bed, so it was lovely and warm. We had the use of a beautiful sitting room with an...
