We attended a family wedding the end of February 2015. The bar staff were very poor, it was like they were brought in from the kitchen to work the bar, half the bar staff couldn't pull a pint. The electricity went after the starters, no announcement, explanation or apology was made by management...it was like there was no management there....

I had a Birthday lunch celebration in Ballykealy Manor last Sunday and it was a wonderful occasion. All my expectations were exceeded by the service we received on the day , with the food served and the venue itself. I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough.

I was attending a wedding at Ballykealey at the end of February. My initial impression was it was dated, old and cold. On checking in, there was no option to pay on departure and payment was required there and then. The rooms are in bad need of updating and I found them to be cold, small and even damp. I...

We had a Birthday celebration in Ballykealy Monor Hotel last Sunday. The experience was fantastic from the start of the day ( with complimentary Bellini cocktails ) to the end ( tea, sandwiches and delicious biscuits for lingering guests at 6.30 pm !! ). The dining room was beautifully decorated and felt like having our own private manor house for...

I attended my friend’s wedding on the 28th February 2015 and it really turned out to be an episode of Fawlty Towers! It is a lovely house with a nice setting, but that is far as it goes. I would strongly urge anyone thinking of having this hotel as a wedding venue to think again! The hotel was freezing and...

My family (three adults and three children) had lunch here yesterday. It was booked for two pm. We waited at least fifteen to twenty minutes for service. We gave the order and asked for the children's food to be served with our starters. After another long wait (the children were now hungry and getting bored just sitting around) our starters...

I had the unfortunate experience to attend a wedding reception here recently. The function room was icy cold when we entered and it did not improve as we went. The electricity failed, first in the toilets, and then in the whole of the function room during the reception between the first and second courses resulting in a delay of 1.25...
