rough but lovely road till the hotel with most beautiful views of the mountains, the hotel itself is decent, I'm sure it had better days, rooms a bit small and thin walls as one can hear what others are doing in their rooms, good breakfast!

We stayed at Falco D'Oro as we travelled through Italy and it proved to be a cost-effective and comfortable stop-off. Overall check-in was a breeze, there was ample parking to use, the room was large, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was one of the better Italian ones that we had in our travels. We even had 2 bathrooms as part of our 1 room, certainly not something we expected! The main negative of course is that it's in the middle of a small town in a fairly quiet region, so there's not a tonne to do in the area. Unfortunately our stay was disrupted somewhat by noisy neighbours down the hall waking us up, as well as dogs barking into the night, but it would be harsh to blame those on the hotel at all! We didn't eat in the restaurant, but heard good things from another couple staying there.

Staff was nice and friendly, the room clean but very small for a family room and a bit dated. Breakfast was nice but at 8 am there were already several things missing, such as croissants, and not being refilled, which was disappointing.

The staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts was extensive. Especially good was the evening meal served at with good wine. Thank you for. A comfortable stay. The advice for the travel to florence was excellent the road was quiet and spectacular views too.

We are doing a six week road trip around Europe and prefer more rural locations to stay in. Our room is lovely and clean, spacious and comfortable. The towels are changed every day, the staff are very helpful and breakfast varied and plentiful. Having said we like rural, this is just a little too remote. The roads in and out of Tole are steep, narrow hairpin bends, my stomach is in my mouth everytime we venture out. Our stay is for five nights and although driving around is a risky adventure, a car is necessary for stays longer than a couple of days. The area is beautiful!

The hotel is spotlessly clean and very efficiently run. Our room was a good size and well equipped. As to the restaurant, although it has several dining rooms we found our food was lacklustre, certainly no more than average. We also had a young girl serving our table who was inadequately trained to be unsupervised Doing this yet which became an irritant when in Italian, then in German and finally in English before pointing out the actual words on the menu, we tried to get our two glasses refilled with red wine (first after much incomprehension she brought us two empty glasses, then the menu again, then finally one little carafe of red - we gave up on the second one as life is too short and it was getting embarrassing and getting unwelcome attention).

Spectacular landscape but little bit far from Bologna so if you want this as a base to go to the city you have to drive more than 60 km every day. The room was extremely cheap which they recoup with the high "coperto" in the restaurant. In rest everything was alright, the beds were very comfortable.

I love such places that selling is not the first objective on the agenda. It is family run and they do excellent job. My family wanted a hotel on the way from Florence to Venice. The hotel is quite far from A1 highway in small town Tole in beatiful hills and the distance is the only disadvantage. Then the advantages: excellent price, excellent breakfast, very nice accommodation, a bar you can get a dring after you arrive etc.
